Marie made everything not just easy but enjoyable! Our cake was elegant and irresistible! I wish I could post a photo… My husband asked if Hands on Sweets had a cake of the month club after savoring every nibble!

Wow is all we can say! Marie is not only sweet, she is very creative and artistic in her designs. The "sugar flower" design she created on the cake was so intricate, it looked real. We would highly recommend "Hand On Sweet" for your wedding cake choice. And not a surprise, the cake was also delicious and liked by all the guest.

Hands down the wedding best cake in the Tampa area, no question! It was love at first bite during our cake tasting. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Hands on Sweets is. Chef Marie and her husband Chef Carlos are not only talented at their craft but incredibly professional, friendly and organized. Their cake designs are beautiful AND tasty. They are also able to create whatever you envision in a wedding cake from simple to extravagant, all one flavor or a few. So many combinations to make it a unique and heavenly cake. They not only did our wedding cake, but desserts for our rehearsal dinner and these adorable confetti cookies for our welcome bags. Side note: the wedding cake was so delicious, our guests had more than one piece on our wedding night and we barely had any left! If you want a beautiful and delicious wedding cake, look no further. Chef Marie is amazing! I had a wonderful experience with them, they are very friendly and very flexible. I have celiac disease and she did almost everything gluten free! The dessert table was not only delicious but everything looked so pretty you didn’t want to eat it!! I have nothing but great things to say about them, so if you are getting married or simple need a cake you should call them!

Chef Marie is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, and she truly went above and beyond for our wedding. We knew we didn't want a white cake, so she showed us tons of beautiful examples at our tasting – she even sketched out her ideas as we talked to her. The final cake was absolutely stunning (and so delicious), and she created the most amazing dessert bar that our guests still rave about to this day. I definitely have a sweet tooth, so our cake vendor was super important to me – Hands on Sweets was the perfect choice!

Chef Marie and her husband Carlos are the *SWEETEST* people to work with. Their energy and passion for what they do really shows in their work. You can see how detail oriented their cakes are and how much time and effort goes into them. We had a customized Groot cake for our grooms cake and it turned out better than I imagined it would. They were very eager to help us through the problems we encountered along the way and really made our experience overall fantastic!

Our cakes turned out perfectly and the Heinz Ketchup bottle shaped Groom’s cake was a huge hit! Marie is the absolute sweetest - always so friendly and very responsive. We will definitely be using Hands on Sweets again for future events :) We can’t wait for our first anniversary to eat the top tier!

We wanted a tiered wedding cake accented with flowers and a grooms cake that looked like a Jack Daniels keg. WOW! These cakes were amazing, the detail and design were fabulous! Highly recommend Chef Marie!

We worked with Chef Marie and one word that summarizes her work is delicious and amazing! She helped us make our wedding memorable with a stunning cake- a masterpiece of thin fondant and buttercream. She was even flexible to allow us two flavors in our 3 tier cake! She was professional, patient, flexible, and truly great at her craft. We would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone on your special day!

AMAZING! We planned a destination wedding and Chef Marie was so friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process. We wanted a dessert table with a mix of Latin and American flavors and everyone loved the desserts. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Everyone raved about the sweets and the flavors. It was great to be able to bring a Latin flair since I’m from the Dominican Republic and wanted to incorporate Latin flavors. The Tres leches shooters were a total hit. Thank you for helping us make our big day extra sweet!

Hands on Sweets is amazing! Their cakes are delicious. It was so hard deciding what flavor to go with which, in my opinion, is a pretty good problem to have. I gave Chef Marie a really rough idea about what I wanted my cake to look like and she sketched out something more beautiful than I could have imagined. About a year later, the cake looked identical to the sketch. It was the cake of my dreams and I am so happy that we chose to get our cake here!

How sweet it is!!! I have a major sweet-tooth, and HOS never ceases to amaze me with their delicious and creative desserts. They not only created a beautiful marble wedding cake to complement our wedding decor, but a custom deer head for the groom’s birthday cake, and a full dessert bar with all of my favorites- macarons, monogram cookies, pinwheel marshmallow cookies, mini donuts and rice krispie treats! We even used the custom monogram cookies for our welcome boxes. There was not a single dessert left at the end of the night. We can’t thank you enough for all of the sweet ways you made our wedding day special.

They did a WONDERFUL job for our wedding! We honestly didn't think anyone would notice the cake, as it wasn't a huge priority for us, but several guests mentioned how much they LOVED it. Also, the service was not pushy at all - we wanted to keep a simple, elegant design and they completely respected our wishes and absolutely crushed the design! Thanks again Hands on Sweets! There are not enough words to explain how amazing Carlos and Marie are! From our initial meeting to the wedding day they were phenomenal! We were completely obsessed with our dessert bar and received so many compliments from our guests about how great the presentation was and how delicious it all was! Extremely accommodating, great communication, beautiful and super yummy desserts! Thank you for everything!

One word...GORGEOUS! Ok, I lied two words...DELICIOUS! My husband and I tried a few other bakeries before choosing Hands on Sweets and to be honest they weren't anywhere near the same level. The cake was not only delicious but flawless in its design, both modern and elegant. Chefs Marie and Carlos were wonderful to work with and take great pride in their cake designs. Loved my cake and can't wait to enjoy it again on my one year anniversary!

Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and charming! It was a birch and burlap look with our initials carved in the side as we were married on the beach and celebrated later under a tiki pavilion. We had so many compliments on the taste of the cake as well, it was light, fluffy, and strawberry delicious.

Hands on Sweets made the planning process so easy as my now husband and I worked long hours, so many of our emails came at night. Chef Marie is a total dream to work with. Beyond being amazingly creative and inventive, her cakes are DIVINE. My husband and I had selected another wedding cake baker for our big day, only to have that vendor completely ghost on us. We found Hands on Sweets only a couple of months before our wedding, and Chef Marie dove head-first into the challenge. I am so glad that our first vendor fell by the wayside, because Chef Marie truly made the most delicious cake that I have ever tasted in my life! She designed a suite of 3 cakes that fit perfectly into the aesthetic for our wedding, and drew up designs and concepts that were not only memorable but had guests eating slice after slice after slice. I also worked one-on-one with Chef Marie to design a groom's cake for my husband, and she designed a cake that blew everyone away. Guests were laughing and commenting all night long on how incredible it all was. Beyond being communicative and responsive with calls and emails, she was timely with delivery and wasn't hesitant to call if she had questions or additional ideas she wanted to run by us. She also designed cookies for our welcome bags for all of our guests with a special design based on the motif of our wedding, which ended up perfectly matching our cake--it was these little details that made our wedding absolutely perfect. Hands on Sweets was amazing! My venue "strongly suggested" we use another vendor who didn't get back to us repeatedly and was a bit condescending. Marie responded immediately, was extremely accommodating, and just as sweet as her cakes. My cake was so incredibly beautiful, I wish I could share a picture to show it off! She worked with my florist seamlessly on the flowers for the cake, so I didn't have to get involved at all (a break any bride would be grateful for). Absolutely wonderful!

Chef Marie and her husband are AMAZING. When I started searching for a baker for my wedding I had no idea where to begin. Chef Marie helped me with any questions I had and we set up a tasting. We went to her shop for our tasting and I fell in love! We tried several different cake variations, and loved so many of them we couldn't decide what we wanted our wedding cake to be. Chef Marie made our wedding cake with three tiers all different flavors! She was absolutely amazing and made our wedding day experience a day we will never forget! The cake was so beautiful and tasted amazing and everyone loved it!

It was so beautifully designed and so delicious we will definitely be using them for events in our future. We chose Hands on Sweets for our daughter’s wedding and groom’s cake based on 5-star Google reviews and we were not disappointed. There is no doubt that they are a talented, creative, and highly professional team and can custom design and bake your dream cake too. Chefs Marie and Carlos were able to take my somewhat scattered ideas and turn them into an artistic, culinary reality - personalized especially for the newlyweds. Chef Marie made a huge effort to simplify the experience for us. It went from stressing out to stress free. Being a “big” surprise to the couple complicated by our being out-of-state parents, made it extremely difficult for us, yet they handled everything to the last, perfect detail: contacting the venue, delivery, setting up, etc. My only task was to drop off the cake topper and some custom decorations. I can’t say enough about Chef Marie’s patience and flexibility. We began with a traditional wedding design but then discovered the wedding venue was a rustic theme. Three months of emails later, Chef Marie was able to switch gears, start from square one, and produce an elegant (and fun) cake duo, complimented by tree bark and rope pedestals, a luscious cascade of sugar flowers set against frosting ferns, with custom accents on the serving pieces. The bride’s cake was an amazing Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Vanilla Bean Buttercream frosting and the groom’s cake was Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache on the top tier and Chocolate Buttercream on the bottom. I hope they post photos so you can see how beautiful, creative and scrumptious, the cakes were. Truly, next to the bride and groom, they were the centerpiece of the reception room. My daughter received compliments from women and men throughout the evening. (At one point the groom and his friends stood around his cake, just fascinated, and talked about how cool it was.) In my daughter’s words, “Mom, the cakes were a Hit.” That, was our goal. Hand on Sweets made it happen. We are so grateful.

Chef Marie gave us the most spectacular cake for our wedding. Not only was it so beautiful, but it tasted amazing! The guests couldn't stop taking about it. We ordered large so we got to take a lot home and it was still just as delicious days after the wedding. Hands on Sweets also did our favors which were chocolate truffles and everyone was so impressed by them as well. I will definitely be seeing Chef Marie again!

We loved working with Chef Marie, the tasting was our favorite part of wedding planning (she made it like a buffet!) - and our wedding cake was great. It was beautifully decorated and light, moist and not-too-sweet. Exactly what we asked for. The WOW was the grooms cake, though! My husband and I had our first date over cheesecake, so we really wanted to incorporate it into the wedding somehow. We worked with Chef Marie to come up with a cheesecake-red velvet layered cake for the grooms cake, and we casually told her it was beach themed and showed her the cake topper. We did not think much of it... the end results was breathtakingly beautiful. One of the most beautiful and most delicious cakes I have EVER had. THEN, since we were concerned we would not have any at our wedding, she made us a second small groomscake with all of the stunning sugar shells and beautiful details of the original. Talk about going above and beyond. She is an artist - both of flavor and design. You will love her.

We ordered our wedding cake from Chef Marie at Hands on Sweets and we could not have been more happy with our choice. From the first time we met Chef Marie for our tasting, we could tell that she is very passionate about what she does - and also that her cakes are not only beautiful, they taste delicious. Our wedding cake had three tiers with a ruffled exterior. She also did ombre coloring from white at the top to a gray lavender at the bottom - it was breathtakingly beautiful and was everything we had imagined. When we cut the cake at our wedding and actually got to taste it, it was also the best cake I had ever eaten. I highly recommend Hands on Sweets for a cake for any special occasion - but especially for your wedding.

After researching a number of dessert vendors and narrowing down a few to meet with, Hands on Sweets really listened to our vision and was genuinely excited to share in the day with us! Their excitement, honestly, was what sold us on choosing to work with them for our big day. Chef Marie is wonderful, a great baker and a wonderful artist. Our wedding cake tasted fabulous and looked beautiful. The macarons she made for our wedding favors were delicious! I could not have found a better bakery for my wedding and I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Chef Marie did an amazing job on our cake! The cake itself was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted, including the cake stand. Even better, it tasted fantastic! We heard from several guest that it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted. She delivered out to Tarpon Springs and worked with our florist to make sure everything was perfect, and all within our budget. Highly recommend.

Delicious! Exquisite! Memorable! These are only 3 words I can use to describe the INCREDIBLE dessert bar that Hands On Sweets created for my wife and I for our wedding at the FL Aquarium! Chef Marie and Chef Carlos were so easy to work with and created a wide variety of delectable desserts for our guests to enjoy. Our wedding was a destination wedding since we reside in NJ and the chefs went out of their way to keep in contact with us and arrange everything from flavors to decorations for the desserts just perfectly. Our guests couldn't get over the intricate and beautiful sugar "coral" they made and were blown away by the amazing taste of each dessert offered. Some of their favorites were the salted caramel pops and the blueberry cheesecake bites. We are so grateful to Hands On Sweets for providing us with sweet treats for our wedding that guests are still talking about! Thank you so much Chef Marie and Chef Carlos!

I got a dessert bar for my wedding with a small cake just for us to ceremoniously "cut the cake." I was absolutely thrilled with Hands on Sweets and Marie from start to finish. She was so sweet in the planning phase. When we came in for a tasting, they had wonderful options for us and the only thing that was tough was deciding which delicious treats to choose! They set everything up in a beautiful display and were great about suggesting just the right amount to order. I had priced other dessert bars in the area, and I will say this company was leaps and bounds ahead of the competition as far as value for your money. I couldn't recommend them more! We used Hands on Sweets for our wedding cake and they were AMAZING! Seriously we had two cakes, one wedding and one groom's cake, for our wedding and only the top tier for our 1 year anniversary was left. I didn't even get to try all of the different flavors because the cake went that fast. Also, our cake was just beautiful. Chef Marie just got us from the beginning. The wedding cake was exactly what I wanted and was put together from ideas from my head and the grooms cake was a great representation of my now husband's personality. Chef Marie is the best!

We hired Hands on Sweets to make our cake for our wedding. Chef Marie was amazing! The cake was so good! We got so many compliments on how great and beautiful our cake was. Definitely try the almond cake with amaretto filing.... so yummy! My husband and I loved our cake so much we could not wait a year to eat the top tier. We ate it on our one month anniversary instead. We will definitely use Hands on Sweets again!
