She has such an eye for light and the little, in-between moments that make the photos feel alive and real. that day and in her photographs we look like the best versions of ourselves which is everything that I could have hoped for. Throughout the day Hannah took documentary style photographs that capture the feeling and story of the event as well as some really fun editorial style photographs of my husband and I that made us feel like we were celebrities in a vogue wedding spread. She also took some beautiful traditional portraits of us and our families which was important to both of our parents. Hannah has an amazing eye for color and the wash on our edited photos came out beautifully vibrant and natural- not over edited or filtered which was something that I was most picky about in choosing our photographer. We also chose to add film photos to our package which was we are so glad to have as they capture something timeless, spontaneous, and nostalgic that is really special. My husband and I are not people who are necessarily used to being in front of the camera, and Hannah made us feel so comfortable and helped us have so much fun. We would also recommend doing an engagement photoshoot with her in the months before hand as a fun way to get comfortable and practice for the big day. We felt like doing this helped take the stress out of being professionally photographed for the first time on our wedding and we also love having the more casual photos of us in our favorite place before becoming a married couple. Hannah was also wonderful at navigating family dynamics during photos and helping the schedule of the day run smoothly- something I did not realize would be as crazy as it was! Overall I cannot recommend Hannah enough and am so grateful we were able to book her for wedding!

I was drawn to Hannah's work because of its candid nature, her creative use of framing, and ability to make the wedding couple look natural and unposed. Hannah herself was kind, available, patient, helpful and a true partner every step of the way. She made the process easy and fun which was a breath of fresh among the stresses of wedding planning.
On the day of our wedding, Hannah and Natasha (the second photographer) were able to capture the biggest and the smallest details throughout the getting ready space, our traditional wedding ceremony, our tea ceremony, the reception + speeches, and the dancing. They truly were able to reflect the atmosphere and joy in our photos. It was a total delight to see photos of moments we didn't witness ourselves in the whirlwind of the day.
Hannah and Natasha did not hesitate to go above and beyond. The kitchen hit a speed bump and our dinner timings and therefore the wedding schedule was running 30 minutes behind. Hannah gamely huddled with us and our DJ to problem solve and we quickly came up with a solution and averted a potential headache. We also unfortunately dealt with the passing of a grandparent a few weeks after the wedding and reached out to Hannah to request all photos of him be included in our final photos. She was so sympathetic, accommodating, and even offered to find a way to send photos sooner if needed.
We often refer to our wedding day as the best day of our lives and Hannah was a big part of the reason why. Thank you for everything, Hannah!

I knew that the longevity of our photos would lie in whether they captured the REAL joy and UNPLANNED moments of the day, and as an art person, it would be a bonus to have photos that looked like they could hang in a gallery. When we first started planning our wedding, my partner and I had a hard time imagining what wedding photos could look like for us. We're not picture people. I think every photo of me highlights how un-photogenic and I am and my partner just feels awkward in front of cameras. But when I first saw Hannah's photos on instagram, I knew I had to learn more. Her photos are so intimate; natural, beautiful, and real and her website highlights that she often works with couples who are nervous in front of the camera. Now post-wedding, we are sooooo happy we chose Hannah as our wedding photographer.
On the day of, she was calm and flexible, making us comfortable during our couples session and working with us to get formal family photos even as parents came late or wandered away. The photos themselves are perfect and bring us right back to the special type of happiness we felt that day. Everyone keeps complimenting the pictures we share and even I love looking at them! We read a review before hiring Hannah that said the photos seem like she was a guest, but somehow you don't notice that she's there. That review was spot on. I don't know how she does it, but she truly captured the emotions of the night, the joy and laughter, and love, but she never got in the way and she seamlessly made sure we got the pictures we asked for with the people we needed (and way more).

nnah Jan delivered!!!! She got incredible candids throughout the night, but even more incredibly, she got a number of gorgeous portraits within about 15 minutes. And she did it on a speedy, rainy walk from the first look to the ceremony. All the while calming nerves and putting the two of us at ease.
Hannah was a prompt communicator, before during and even months after the wedding. I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with her. She is funny and kind and has a great design eye. My parents, who are fairly picky, have bought a number of her photographs apparently not just because I’m in them, but because they said “Hannah captures shadows really well.” She’s a crowd pleaser!

rom the photo composition and editing that Hannah is just a natural storyteller. She has the ability to capture not only the formal and elegant portraits but also the candid moments that feel genuine and effortless. If you're normally uncomfortable getting photos taken of you, you'll find that the results look even more graceful and beautiful than you might think. We were looking at other photographers' work and couldn't help but feel that many photographers showcase a couple nice shots on their homepage, but the galleries in full are subpar. In comparison, Hannah's shots are consistent and hold up in quality (even across 500+ photos!). You can see for yourself :)
Aside from the photographing, the best thing about Hannah is how present she is. People who are present are warm, available, great listeners, and super reliable. Wedding planning was tough for us, but Hannah listened to & catered to all our needs, communicated with us clearly & promptly, and made sure that no detail fell through the cracks. And let's not forget how nice and fun she is!

On the day of our wedding she was there to capture absolutely everything that we needed and wanted from our wedding photos, and she blended seamlessly into the backdrop so as not to intrude upon the ceremony itself. To give you some background -- my (now) Husband and I are less traditional in what we wanted for our wedding. For one thing, when COVID hit, we saw it as the perfect reason to move UP our wedding and scale down from 150 guests to 20. But when it came to our wedding photos, we knew we didn't formal portraits, but rather a photographer who would capture the moment in time in an organic, and candid way. And lastly, I just wanted someone I could trust the day of the wedding.
And Hannah was ALL OF THAT AND MORE! She felt like having a BFF capturing all the more crucial moments of our day. OH, and the best part - the photos are INSANE. Literally took my breath away and exceeded all expectations. Anyone who has seen my photos has been stopped in their tracks, and it's all thanks to her!

in New Orleans, so we chose to go with a local photographer instead for the big day. Then COVID-19 happened. All of our plans were up in the air! We knew that we had to have something much smaller and local to New York. In all of this confusion, we turned to Hannah -- our trusted and favorite NY area photographer. She was so so so helpful and provided us with vendor ideas and other planning tools. Thanks to her input, we ended up planning a last-minute microwedding upstate in July and it was absolutely beautiful. We are both super grateful that we were able to have Hannah capture this weekend for us. It ended up being a silver lining in all of the plan changes and postponements.

She was professional, prompt and communicative. She was able to think quickly on her feet, make needed adjustment and on top of it, she was able to corral all of our family for portraits (which in itself is an impressive feat). Incredible photos aside, Hannah is exactly the type of person you want around on your wedding day. Something we didn't consider is the amount of time you spend basically one on one with your photographer(s) (we actually had two, Hannah and Drea, and Drea was also AWESOME.) throughout the course of the day. We were so excited to have Hannah with us. She was the perfect addition to the day. Her even-keeled disposition is so calming and effective, and she is so good at accomplishing what needs to be done in a time-efficient manor, all the while achieving gorgeous results. We, of course, were super stoked about this, and we also had newlywed relatives specifically comment on how impressed they were by her efficiency. She made sure that we were able to enjoy the night to the fullest, which was incredibly important to us. Hannah is simply the best.
