I interviewed 4 different vendors in early 2024 for my Gujarati wedding in April 2025, and ultimately signed with Hansini. Hansini was very easy to talk to (felt like I was talking a friend), has years of experience in the wedding industry, answered all of my questions and gave transparent advice. Personally, I also appreciated that she’s Gujarati and understood the complexity of a big Indian wedding. I occasionally contacted Hansini up for vendor suggestions and guidance on my wedding planning and even though it wasn’t truly part of the coordination responsibilities, throughout my wedding planning process, she was always open to helping me out. About 2 months prior to my big day, I officially started working with Hansini and her team on a weekly basis to offload all of my planning onto her/her team to execute. She was organized in how and what to offload for her team to take on seamlessly, asked the right questions to really learn my vision, and even gave feedback/options to elevate my vision (ie suggested a violinist for one of my entrances which was such a memorable moment!). I realized I made the BEST decision in hiring her and her team during my actual wedding weekend. Her team delivered on the timelines, managed the guests and vendors so efficiently, set up the details I’d planned for (ie. welcome boards, favors, etc), transported some vendors (and me!), and even made late-night trips to grab fresh flowers to put in my hair. I also appreciated how intentional Hansini was during the weekend to ensure she had one of her team members by my side to grab food for me and keep me hydrated because the time seems to fly by even faster that weekend and I hardly had time to think of myself. The biggest blessing of having her on my team came to light when my outdoor wedding had to be shifted indoors and I didn’t have a full-flushed plan for her team to execute on. Hansini stepped in and immediately led the charge to rework the plans with all of the necessary vendors to ensure my vision would still come to light. If you’re looking for a wedding planner/coordinator that will listen to your wants, deliver on your vision, and truly take the stress off your plate, you need to hire Hansini! Thank you to the entire team for truly blowing my expectations out of the park in coordinating my wedding weekend – it would not have been as successfully without you on my side!

o be from 2024 and earlier, and unfortunately, as a 2025 bride, my experience was very different. Instead of feeling supported, having a wedding planner ended up adding significant stress. While we paid for full-service planning, what we received felt closer to day-of coordination at best. Meetings were frequently rescheduled or canceled, and there was a noticeable lack of momentum.  As time continued to pass with little to no progress, I ended up taking on the majority of the planning myself—reaching out to vendors directly, reviewing contracts, and setting up meetings—because work simply was not getting done on her end.  Budgeting and cost awareness were also major gaps, and there didn’t seem to be a clear understanding of costs. We raised concerns multiple times throughout the planning process. While we received many apologies, there were very few meaningful changes or improvements made afterward. I do want to acknowledge that her team on the actual wedding day was great and handled things well.  Overall, I wish my experience had matched the reviews that initially drew me in. Unfortunately, the planning process became far more stressful than it needed to be, and I expected much more support, structure, and reliability from a full-service planner.

Hansini was consistently unresponsive, frequently rescheduled meetings and calls with last-minute excuses, and failed to follow up with vendors on countless occasions. This lack of professionalism created confusion and left us scrambling to fill in gaps she should have managed. She was also careless with our budget, leading to unexpected costs that could have easily been avoided with proper oversight. One particularly frustrating example: we were charged for missing glassware after our events. The venue had notified Hansini, but she took no action. We only found out 17 days later when the venue contacted us directly—an issue that could have been resolved quietly and quickly had she done her job. Planning a wedding is inherently stressful, but Hansini’s lack of accountability and poor management amplified that stress in ways we never anticipated. Hansini and her team were very responsive and helpful. Even though we had already booked our venue, they assisted us in contacting additional vendors and negotiating with our hotel in Dallas. From April to December 2024, we felt we were moving at a great pace with vendor meetings and contracts—largely thanks to her lead coordinator who was assigned to us. On the wedding day, the coordination team was attentive and kept us on timeline. They checked in on us and helped prevent major delays. Unfortunately, after the new year things changed. The biggest issue was communication—or rather, the lack of it. Meetings were scheduled and then cancelled last minute, sometimes within an hour of start time, often without notice until we reached out. This was frustrating as we rearranged our own busy schedules to accommodate these calls. Hansini frequently told us she was reaching out to vendors, but we later learned from the vendors themselves that this wasn’t happening. We ended up stepping in ourselves to prevent delays. For example: (1) Our pre-wedding photoshoot wasn’t finalized until we personally contacted the photographer, who responded within a day—despite Hansini telling us for weeks he was unresponsive. (2) One of our food vendors almost fell through because Hansini hadn’t followed up. The restaurant even thought we had moved on. Thankfully, they were still available, but this could have been a disaster. Around April 2025, Hansini was left planning solo. We assumed she would step up communication in the critical two months before the wedding, but that didn’t happen. Even after apologizing for her lack of communication, the improvements were minimal. While the day itself was mostly smooth, there were preventable hiccups: (1) Guests left hungry because food trays weren’t replenished quickly, leading to long lines. Guests themselves had to ask the caterers to refill items. This should have been flagged and managed by the planner. (2) We created a detailed family photo list, and Hansini’s team had agreed to call out names. Instead, it was chaotic—because Hansini wasn’t present. We later learned she was working on our reception seating chart, which she had previously told us was already finalized. (3) Most concerning, the marriage license wasn’t prepared for the priest to sign after the ceremony. We only remembered on our own. If we hadn’t, it likely would have been overlooked altogether. Throughout the process, we often felt sidelined. Since we’re both easygoing people, it almost felt like Hansini relied on us to pick up the slack rather than taking ownership of the details—which is exactly what we were paying for with full-service planning. We felt like we would have had a similar experience if we had planned the wedding ourselves. Externally, Hansini Weddings appears polished and professional. But based on our experience, we cannot recommend this service. If you are looking for reliable, consistent, and proactive wedding planning, we strongly advise exploring other options.

eginning, Hansini was attentive, assisting us in reaching out to vendors we had already identified and supporting us as we shifted from a destination wedding in Destin to a local celebration in Baton Rouge. She visited our venue with us in June 2024 and assured us that she would be closely involved as we got closer to our wedding date. However, about six months before the wedding, things changed. Communication became inconsistent, with frequent last-minute cancellations of scheduled calls. A critical site visit set for March 12, 2025, was canceled due to a family emergency and rescheduled for March 19 — but Hansini failed to show up entirely on the 19th, without informing us, our décor team, or our family until the time she was supposed to arrive. Throughout the planning process, Hansini also failed to keep up with key organizational tasks. Despite having shared Excel sheets for budget, planning, wedding websites, and stationery, we as the couple ended up having to fill out and manage almost everything ourselves. Hansini presented well on the surface but did not deliver on the detailed planning needed for a smooth event. We had to coordinate and communicate with all vendors directly for timings and event details, and we personally handled vendor travel information and costs, which should have been managed by our planner — especially during the crucial final weeks before the wedding. In the lead-up to the wedding, we repeatedly asked for flight itineraries for her team’s travel, following up weekly for almost a month. Each time, we were told they would be shared shortly, but they were only partially provided the day before flights — and even then, we only received pricing details, not full itineraries. Hansini and her team flew in on April 16, 2025, and met with us that afternoon. That evening, she requested full payment, which we sent via Zelle. Shockingly, on April 17, the first day of our events, we found out Hansini had quietly left the evening before without informing us. She has not reached out to us since — not even a simple message to congratulate us after our wedding. We have screenshots attached of the original flight booking Hansini made with a promise that she would be there for all of our events. To make matters worse, we saw that Hansini posted another wedding she attended in Dallas that same weekend, despite telling us she had to leave due to a sudden illness. It became clear that she prioritized a much larger event (1000+ guests) over our wedding, despite our earlier booking and the obligation to be present and support us, along with the constant reminder that she did 1 wedding per month when we booked. This experience caused unnecessary stress, tension, and heartache during what was supposed to be the happiest weekend of our lives. We would not recommend Hansini Weddings to any couple looking for a professional, reliable, and supportive planner.
