ir phones, ignoring them while they waited to order a drink as well as an overall rudeness towards them. Of course I want my loved ones to have a good time so it was disappointing to hear they felt staff was rude to them. The thing I noticed was drink inconsistency throughout the event.
Working with Kimberly was very easy but I do wish there was a better way to send customers invoices. I am also a little nervous to write this review as she complained to me about past couples but I’d like to give my honest feedback.
I would never trust this vendor for a future event.
- I write this review not out of a desire to complain about the extremely poor service that was delivered from day one by Kim (...
owner) but to provide an objective recounting of events so that anyone looking to book a bartender has a wholistic view of the service that could be received. The poor service spanned from the planning stages of our wedding through the wedding day itself. The lack of organization, timely responses and most importantly day of execution was glaring. It is important to note we were dealing directly with the owner, Kim, through the entire process. It is also the owner that was our contracted bartender for the event.
- Starting with, most importantly, the day of our wedding reception after many (10 plus) conversations about the hours of service, our bartender (the owner) forgot the hours and showed up two hours late. I will say that the owner was apologetic about arriving late, but did not seem to have a grasp of the impact it caused on the event. Kim, the owner, is under-qualified and not adept to handle large complex events.
- Kim was also 30 minutes late to our welcome cocktail event the night before our reception. Kim also arrived without the water / tea service that was requested for that day. Because of that we had to have guests go buy water bottles mid-event. Had she brought water or arrived on time our guests wouldn’t have to go out during the event. Kim refused to take any responsibility for this because it “wasn’t agreed upon”. In my opinion it was clearly agreed upon but Kim doesn’t respond in a timely manner, ensure/confirm orders and refuses to do itemized receipts to make anything simple. If you’d like to be responsible for daily emails/phone calls to ensure Kim is properly tracking orders then Kim might, and I emphasize might, be able to get your orders/service right. Another prime example of incompetence on the ordering process is next.
- Kim, about a week before our event, after a month of untimely responses sent a list of an incorrect alcohol order that she already placed. I have an email chain that makes it very clear that Kim was at fault and she continues to try and blame us for the issues that arose out of incompetence and lack of organization in her process. When I calmly spoke to Kim on the phone that night to address the issue I was immediately met with a yelling/angry rant about the order. I had to deescalate the situation and helped remedy her error. The way she spoke to me would not be acceptable in any setting and even more so in a vendor/client conversation. It was unprofessional and quite frankly unacceptable. If this was not so late in the process I would have done whatever I could to cancel her service and find someone else.
- Based on other reviews it seems Kim provides better service in other instances but I feel that this instance needs to be known for any decisions being made by other couples.
- Every other vendor for our event will receive 5/5 star reviews because they did their best and were friendly, accountable and professional. This service does not come close to meeting that requirement.
- Kim refuses to reimburse us for lost service hours. We spent an hour on the phone with her after the wedding weekend and she finally agreed to reimburse us for lost hours of service. A week later she denied our Venmo request, which was for a small amount relative to the issues she caused at our event.

contract and our deposit, then she started getting pushy and putting pressure on us to sign the contract. We decided to sign the contract that same day. I didn’t hear from her for 3 weeks after I sent her the contract and money. During this time period, I sent numerous follow ups. At this point my fiancé and I were starting to panic, we were really trying to get all our vendors confirmed. We decided to cancel services with Happy Celebrations, I sent her a final email to let her know our decision, we also requested a refund for the deposit at this time since we never received a signed contract on her behalf. She responded in less than an hour letting me know that she in fact did send a contract back, but I never received that email or any of the others she claimed to send. I asked her to forward me our entire email chain so I could see her responses, which she was unable to do, claiming she had “hand written notes” and couldn’t find the emails she claimed to have sent. She told me she doesn’t have time to respond to weddings that are months away (our wedding is in October). She did not refund our deposit, I understand this because we signed a contract, but I was hoping she would realize she was in the wrong and provide a refund due to her incredible lack of professionalism and inability to answer an email in a timely manner. If you are looking for a professional company and someone who can communicate in a timely manner, this is the not company to go with. Waiting 3 weeks to receive a signed contract back from a company and having no contact in between except for confirmation that she received our money is absolutely unacceptable.
