an additional $5 for blueberries to top the cake, and only a few blueberries were put around the ridges of the cake. The cake was also extremely dry and bread like, to the point that it was inedible. The icing was so sweet that not even the kids could eat it. It was very beautifully decorated apart from the lack of blueberries I had paid for, but the taste was not worth the $50 for a very small cake. I reached out to their team in hopes that they would offer some sort of partial refund or something for good will, but they offered nothing. As a small business I would expect an understanding of how hard people work for their money and an effort to make it right. But sadly I was not met with that, so I am having to post this review to prevent others from experiencing the same.

y we went for the cake testing. Our guests commented on the flavor, saying that it was a different flavor than they usually have at weddings and they loved it. My wife and I are both vegan, but none of our friends or family are vegan. When we told them the cake was vegan, everyone commented on how they could not tell a difference. If you have a mixture of diets in your family, this would please many people! We also loved the way that the cake was iced. It looked lovely with the flowers we added on later. Jana at Happy Chicks was so helpful through the whole process, from the cake tasting, to answering questions, and delivering the cake. they were vegan, except for our vegan friends who were extremely happy to have a dessert option at a wedding they could eat! The only issue was we were recommended a certain amount of cake for our guests, under the assumption everyone would have one slice, but in reality guests took 2 or 3 slices to try the different flavors. This resulted in a shortage of cake that was a real bummer. Overall, I recommend A LOT more cake if you plan to have multiple flavors on the assumption people will take multiple slices. Thanks!

r 175 guests and the cake was gorgeous with space for the wedding topper. Cannot say enough good things about them and have used them for other family functions already!

licious, unique, and not overly sweet flavors at Happy Chicks, we knew they had to do our wedding cake. I was nervous that our guests would not eat our wedding cake, but not a single piece was left by the end of the night. They were also so creative in the design and I was blown away seeing the cake after I had described and shown them pictures of my vision for the cake. We can't wait to have them make many more cakes and cupcakes for all of the special occasions in our lives.

We had a 5 tier cake in lavender vanilla with our wedding flowers decorated on top. We could not have been more pleased with how it turned out. Now, every time we are in the area, we pop in to get little cupcakes to bring us back to our day.

We went for the tasting when all of our parents were in town and my husband's dad said we didn't have to go anywhere else after trying Happy Chicks. They were great to work with and people said great things about the different flavors we had. We tried so many things that we liked and there was no surcharge for having each tier as a different flavor. The cake was beautiful and simple and we loved it.

he experience with her wedding cake, with no resolution, she no longer can. She and her husband met with Happy Chicks to do the cake testing and spent time discussing and sent follow up emails to discuss the color and look of the cake. They were looking for a copper accent on the cake. They were told that if they could not replicate the copper color with frosting, then Happy Chicks would cover a section of the cake in fondant that could be removed before eating. This did not happen and the copper accent can only be described as baby poo green. Both my daughter and myself sent emails to let Happy Chicks know we were disapppointed with the result. They did apologize but then also said that colors were not guaranteed and the color on the cake was the closest they could come to copper. They also said the color would have been closer to copper if they has used fondant. I'm still not sure why that option wasn't used since it was explained as an option. If Happy Chicks had contacted my daughter and said that they could not create the copper color, she would have changed the design of the cake, rather than serve guests something that looked so unappetizing. The cake tasted great, but it is so disappointing that we will not be able to enjoy the pictures of the cake. Unfortunately, the taste does not last forever, but pictures do. Besides the apology, no other solution has been offered and all the photos my daughter has of the cake just reminds her and her husband of their disappointment.

On our wedding day, very few of the decorations had been used and there was no decoration on our actual wedding cake. It still looked beautiful though. Overall though the cakes tasted wonderful and we had many guests asking who the vendor was! Bonus points for them being a vegan bakery and were super flexible with allergy accommodations!

We got one-on-one assistance and 6 cupcakes to taste at no charge, and Jana really worked to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. If you're getting married anywhere near Cincinnati, definitely order from here! We got married over an hour away and the cake and cupcakes held up perfectly during transport too.

Additionally, their service was impeccable - anytime I needed to contact them I heard back right away and the cake was delivered on time with no issues. I would highly recommend working with Happy Chicks, it was nothing less than the best experience for us!

wanted to do a cake -- more often than not, wedding cakes just taste like plain sugar, and we are not big on icing. However, we fell in love with Happy Chicks. They made the cake taste and look exactly like we wanted, and were super punctual with the delivery. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for wedding cakes that are not too sweet, but still have tons of flavor and personality.

ookies or lunch or the custom birthday cake here and there. I first encountered their delicious treats when I regularly attended the Madeira Farmer's Market a couple of years ago. When it came time to plan our wedding, there was no question that we would trust the cake part of our festivities to the Happy Chicks. The whole process was so easy. We went to one of their wedding tasting events, and even though we were familiar with all of their cupcake flavors, we found the tasting experience very helpful in terms of choosing which flavors to present together. We decided on a three tier cake for our small-ish wedding of 75 guests: the largest cake was a Caramel Chocolate Stout, the middle cake was their Yellow Dragon flavor (coconut yellow curry cupcake with almond icing and almond garnish), and for the top layer we had a small gluten free Caramel Macchiato cake. The cake was universally loved! There was very little of it left at the end of the night, even though we ordered far more than we needed. I have a six year old daughter, so we had lots of kids there, and the kids were big fans of the cake, as well. Best of all, everyone was able to enjoy the cake: we have vegetarian and vegan friends, as well as friends with allergies and sensitivities. Our cake had something for everyone. The Happy Chicks understand the complexities of cross-contamination, and they were able to make our cake beautiful and extra safe by keeping the gluten free layer separated from the rest of the cake (they used a base for the gluten free cake, but I don't know what it's called, and it was hidden by icing), along with explicit instructions to the catering staff about how to remove the top carefully. They also provided reminders to the catering staff to have someone cut and prepare the gluten free slices separately from the rest of the cake, with a different knife and fresh gloves. As for the design of the cake, my husband and I had an art deco themed wedding, and we brought our idea for how we wanted the cake to look to the Happy Chicks. My husband drew the idea out on a sheet of paper, and they executed the design perfectly. We chose midnight blue for our primary wedding color, and without using artificial colors, the Happy Chicks were able to capture two lovely complimentary shades of blue which we requested for the icing on two tiers of the cake. We didn't decorate our venue very much--we wanted to keep things simple--so having such a beautiful cake as a focal point was extra appreciated! Overall, we highly recommend Happy Chicks Bakery! Our cake was so wonderful, and every time we order a cake it is always so nice to work with them! Their flavors are so inventive and surprising, and their presentation is so beautiful. ey created a custom "tiny lady's wedding cake" just for me. It was a naked cake in their Grapefruit Poppy Seed flavor. It tasted amazing and the presentation was simple and beautiful! The ladies at Happy Chicks were super helpful and come highly recommended. They also make a fabulous lunch!

great to work with. We actually did our gender reveal as part of our wedding cake, and it was very easy working with Jana up until our big day. The cake itself was so delicious. We went with Lavender Lemonade and Black Velvet as our two flavors. I've been to a lot of weddings where the cake looked beautiful, but all you tasted was the hard fondant. Our wedding cake was moist, dense, with tons of flavor. Everyone came back for seconds! I would highly recommend Happy Chicks to any future bride.
