We are so happy we chose Amy to be our wedding photographer. Amy did a great job communicating with us throughout the planning process. She set clear expectations and helped make s...
ure that our schedule (including when to take photos) would work well. We also appreciated not feeling “nickel-and-dimed” - the contract included the engagement session and a second photographer, free photo downloads for friends and family, and didn’t require us to specify the number of hours of coverage.
It was also very important to us to have a wedding photographer who wasn’t just accepting of a gay couple, but was a proud LGBTQ ally. Amy was very thoughtful to avoid using hetero-normative terms. While that may seem like a small thing, hearing terms like “bridal party” (even when done so innocently) as one of two grooms getting married can get tiresome.
Most importantly, we are THRILLED with our photos. We wanted a wedding photographer who would capture the day as we remembered it. We didn’t want photos that looked over-processed or too bright/dark. Amy and her second photographer captured all of the small details, formal/family portraits, and spontaneous moments from our day, and she delivered photos to us that were well-composed and edited. Our wedding day went by in a flash, but every time we look back through our pictures, we smile as we’re reminded of all of the amazing, special moments from that day. As an added bonus, our photos were ready way faster than promised, just a couple of weeks after our wedding!
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Happy Gnome Photography to anyone, and we can’t think of anything that Amy could have done better.
Amy did such a wonderful job with our wedding photos, we truly couldn't be happier! She helped keep me organized throughout the entire planning process by sending questionnaires th...
at were SO HELPFUL to make the wedding day a success. She was willing to answer my calls/texts as I had more questions close to the wedding, and she captured every bit of the wedding I had hoped for, and more. Her assistant Anna was wonderful as well! She helped in the groom suite and ended up tying bowties and pinning shirts to make sure everyone looked great. Both great to work with. Thank you, Amy!
Amy was amazing! She went above and beyond for our engagement photos by taking a boat ride with us to capture a special moment on the Milwaukee River. Amy captured so many special ...
moments at our Wedding that I didn't even know I would want. She coordinated with our band and venue to ensure we were on time and able to sneak away for sunset pictures. Her fun attitude kept our wedding party ready for photos and enjoying the process!
Amy's photos were beautiful from our Wedding Day and we could not be happier She sent them within 2 weeks and did an great job editing. I would recommend Amy to anyone! Thank you again :)

off bouquets to avoid water marks on dresses, offering a pair of scissors,—every single thing you forgot you’d have to do, Amy was prepared to help us get it done.
From our engagement session up to the day of, Amy was nothing but helpful, fun, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. If you’re on the fence between photographers, you’ve found her. We can’t express how lucky we feel to have worked with Happy Gnome!

s where we first met and made it such a fun and special experience for us. Amy was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and was there to assist us the entire way. The day of our wedding she was more than a photographer. She was there with every last minute solution to small issues that arose. Her efficiency and ability to capture every small and big moment of the day was truly incredible. We cannot recommend Happy Gnome Photography enough!

ensure they keep themselves and our guests safe. We received a 20 photo sneak peak via social media within 24 hrs of the wedding, and our entire gallery within 3 weeks. The photos were breathtaking and really brought out the beauty we were looking for in our day. My husband and I are thrilled to have made the investment in Amy for our day, and have already told him that she will forever be our family photographer.
Amy was absolutely fantastic, and by far the best decision I made (aside from choosing the groom) in regards to my wedding. She not only took stunning photos, but she anticipated a...
ny little thing that could go wrong and was right there with a solution on stand by. Amy made me feel so much calmer, which is quite the achievement on someone's wedding day. Highly, highly recommend.

o easy thanks to Amy. She was so organized, helpful and knowledgeable. We recently got our wedding pictures back and are obsessed! They are all so beautiful and the quality of the shots is unlike others that I've seen. Amy is someone I was so happy to have there on my wedding day, not only did she take great pictures but she kept everyone on the same schedule so we got the the reception venue on time. 10/10 would recommend Happy Gnome Photography to anyone looking for professional pictures, you can expect nothing less than perfection. Thank you, Amy!

on time, thinks of everything you forget to think about and is very organized. I loved how she did a questionnaire before the day of so she didn't have to ask if we got every one or things that were musts. She just got it done and made sure it was done right. We LOVE all of our pictures. If you are looking for someone reliable and down to earth Happy Gnome is the place to go.

She is funny and fun to work with! She made our wedding day stress free for us and was there to help in any way.
Amy definitely went above and beyond her role and I cannot thank her enough for the wonderful pictures she captured for us. She has a great knack for catching the candid pictures too, which were some of my favorite :-)

how to capture the classic pictures that we wanted for our day! I would highly recommend her to any couples looking for a wedding photographer!

e was able to bustle my dress, and even got the coffee stain out when I spilled on it during dinner because she carried her own emergency kit. When people kept coming in the room at the church where I was getting dressed before the ceremony she happily kicked them out so I wouldn't have to feel uncomfortable doing that. A total pro with the day, and of course, absolutely fantastic photos! She purposely keeps her prices reasonable because she wants to be accessible to the average couple, which is really appreciated.
Amy was great to work with and we LOVE our photos!
Finding Amy and Happy Gnome Photography turned out to be one the of the greatest things that could have happened. Amy is so incredibly sweet and funny. She has a personality that h...
elps you to relax and, although neither my husband or I are incredibly comfortable in front of a camera, we felt comfortable in front of her so we ended up with some amazing pictures. We have a son who is 6 years old and Amy did such a good job getting him to smile for pictures and engaging him in the photo shoots. When we did our engagement shoot (which we treated more like a family picture session) I would have sworn that our son was goofing around and moving around too much for us to have gotten a single decent shot. Low and behold, our pictures came back and we had a ton of great images to choose from. Amy is nothing short of a miracle worker!
I have only seen previews of our wedding photos so far but they have all been so amazing. I am dying to see the rest of them. I have had so many people tell me that they are the most gorgeous wedding photos that they have ever seen! People at the wedding also commented on how kind and professional our photographers was. They said that she did a good job making sure to get a bunch of photographs without being in the way or taking over the day. Overall, I am just so happy that we had Amy with us on our special day. She really felt more like a family friend than a hired photographer. She really helped make the day so wonderful and she can bet that she hasn’t seen the last of us! We’ll be back for family pictures for years to come, I am sure!!!
Our wedding pictures were BEYOND AMAZING!! Happy Gnome captured all the classic pictures, our favorite memories from our "big day" and even all the moments we didn't realize happen...
ed until looking at pictures!
Amy is truly talented and wonderful at what she does! Happy Gnome was our dream wedding photographer, no doubt!
The whole process was a complete joy! We loved coming home to surprises - first the preview directly following our wedding day, then the blog post, then an amazing online gallery, later followed by a USB and so on.
Amy, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are just so in awe of our photos! We can't wait to get prints to hang up next!
Anyone looking for a MKE wedding photographer, Happy Gnome comes highly recommended! You won't regret it!

o bossy or aggressive, but you knew she was in charge. She helped keep our party moving and made sure we were following the schedule. She got pictures of everything I had requested. She pulled my husband and I away from the reception a few times to take sunset pictures or night pictures. Some people may have found that annoying, but I realized it was the only moments of the night when we got any time to be with just each other. Overall, she did wonderful.
We are so happy we chose Happy Gnome Photography for our wedding! Amy captured every moment of our day perfectly and truly knows every trick in the trade to making the day go smoot...
hly. She went above and beyond on our wedding day from helping keep my veil from blowing up in the wind to teaching the guys how to pin on their boutonnieres.
Beyond being an extremely talented photographer, she brings a warmth and genuine friendliness to all her interactions with people. She was a great communicator from the day we met her, through our engagement and all during the wedding. She makes working with her easy and effortless which is a huge help during all planning!
We would HIGHLY recommend working with Amy to anyone!
My husband and I worked with Amy over the last year or so. Our package included a complimentary engagement session and full coverage on our wedding day in September, 2016. Working ...
with Amy was amazing! Not only is the work she produces excellent, but she was a calming presence on our wedding day. Amy and her second shooter, Dominka, took gorgeous, natural photos that turned out amazing! We feel so happy to have had the chance to work with her. Thank you, Amy!
Amy Erickson is an "on location" photographer (meaning, she'll take you to the best spots for your shots, OR she'll come to you...within reason, of course.... :) She was so easy to...
work with and comes prepared with a lot of creative shot locations and ideas. We absolutely love our photos and love that she gave us a "preview" of three photos on her facebook page the day after the wedding and then another 20 or so on her blog 10 days later. We would recommend her in a heartbeat to our family and friends and can't wait to work with her again ourselves.
