We had an amazing experience working with Jason and James for our wedding and would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a professional and easy-to-work-with DJ/MC team....
From the beginning, they were incredibly organized and helpful. During our planning call, they helped us think through the timeline and flow of the wedding, and Jason provided a planning template that gave us a great foundation to build on throughout the process.
When it came to the music, Jason completely understood the vibe we were looking for from the playlists and examples we shared. We specifically wanted a mix of Mandarin and English classics throughout the evening, and he blended everything together seamlessly. Throughout the wedding, Jason stayed in lock-step with our timeline and matched the music perfectly to the energy of each moment. We received many compliments from our guests—and even our venue staff—about the music selection and flow.
James was also an excellent MC. Since our guests included both English and Mandarin speakers, having someone who could comfortably host in both languages was incredibly valuable and helped everyone feel included throughout the evening.

Before our wedding we met with him and he gave great advice on the schedule, making sure we did our Reception activities in a way that would keep our guests entertained, and suggesting some games that could involve everyone. During the wedding he did a great job hyping up our guests for our entrance, first dance, speeches, shoe game, and bouquet toss. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which made communicating with our families really smooth! We also booked the photobooth through HMDJ. We loved the props they had, and we laughed so much looking through all the photos our guests did!

He walked us through their different packages and really helped advise us on our reception. DJ Jason read the dance floor vibe and just seemed to play the exact right song at the precisely optimal moment to keep the vibe. DJ Jason was the soul of our dinner reception and definitely set our tempo and vibe!
Additionally, DJ Jason was able to provide tri-lingual MC services. MC Sandy was fantastic! She speaks perfect English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. That was fantastic for our tri-lingual wedding and mixing of cultures. We had many last minute/game-time audibles we had to call on the day of the wedding that changed up our pre-planned timeline. MC Sandy did a fantastic job rolling with the punches and making the entire evening flow seamlessly—as if there were no last minute changes! She also helped us during the planning phase with designing our timelines and figuring out the flow of the evening.

They stayed super organized and followed our outlined schedule seamlessly but also remained flexible depending on how the energy and flow of the night were moving us. It was a huge plus that emcee Chi was fluent in English and Cantonese and was so good at hyping and engaging our guests. Our family and guests complimented us on how smooth the whole ceremony and reception went and we know they had a big part in making that happen. Jason made sure everything played at the right moments and set a great mood from the ceremony through dinner and the dance floor. They were responsive to what we wanted and even helped us with a timeline for our wedding as we wanted to have some Chinese elements. (Although I’m sure they’re not limited to Chinese weddings.) On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and helped us relax as we let them use their experience to guide the flow of our reception. Because of them, the reception was stress-free and we were able to have fun and just enjoy our night. The music was a mixture of current and classic songs that helped make you want to dance. Jason did an exceptional job of capturing our taste in music. Eddie was so funny and did a great job synchronizing with our venue coordinator. Lastly, our photobooth attendant was also amazing as he helped our guests capture fun and memorable photos. These guys helped make our dream wedding come true!

My wedding could not have gone as well as it did without his expertise, flexibility, and his professionalism. Jason was an amazing DJ and really knows how to entertain the crowd. Jason gave his suggestions on how we could transform our venue in terms of lighting design and it really was a hit! We chose the uplighting, intelligent lighting, and did the photobooth with them. Jason knew how to draw in the crowd and get everyone moving. I do believe that you get what you pay for and that a wedding is an experience to be enjoyed by all your loved ones. Worth every penny!

h service as well. Leading up to the wedding Jason was very professional and responsive by e-mail. Questions were answered very promptly and he was very easy to work with. At the wedding reception, all of our planned activities and music cues flowed very nicely. Jason worked very well with our MC (who we brought in) and had very smooth transitions between songs. Photobooth pictures came out great and the lighting fixtures also look amazing in photos! We can't recommend Happy Music DJ enough!

guests, we needed MC and DJ who understand how to accommodate both backgrounds and help us translate from one language to another. Not only did Jason and Christine exceeded our expectations, we had guests coming over after wedding telling us that the DJ was spot on with the music and the MC was the best they have seen before.

dating. We got to meet him up a few times before the wedding, and he really went above and beyond. He also helped us in finding an amazing emcee that caters to our audience, and sent me a few sample time-lines so I could start working on the schedule ahead of time.
Since my wedding was all DIY, many last minute changes were made on the day of our wedding. Jason was really patient with us and gladly fulfil all of our last minute requests and changes. There were also a few details that we forgot to fill him in, yet he was so attentive that all the transitions were made so smoothly even without any cue given to him at all.
He really follows through and emails me from time to time to make sure I have everything on schedule. He even did 2 mixes for our first dance! All my guests waved about how awesome our DJ and MC are, and they really did an excellent job by keeping the party going! Everyone had fun, and I didn't only hear this feedback from my friends in their 20's - 30's, but also family members that are in their 60's and 70's.
I would highly recommend him and Happy Music DJ for anyone that are looking for music and emcee services!

The DJ was a key aspect to our wedding. We feel the DJ either makes or breaks the wedding. Although we were offered services from one-stop bridal shops, we were pretty set until we met with Happy Music DJ. My wife and I met with many DJs that specialized in Chinese American weddings and that could speak Chinese and English, but we felt as if Jason really understood what we wanted and definitely delivered. We chose one of the upgraded packages and felt it was worth every penny.
I just want to thank Jason and his team again for their outstanding service. The suggestions you and your crew provided made our wedding more than we could ever imagine.

She provided the best party favors for the dance part at our wedding. Her son, Jason, is a great DJ. He kept the party going. The MC Happy Music DJ selected for us fit perfectly. He executed our requests & kept our guests on their toes.
Happy Music DJ offers very reasonable prices for their various packages. We were skeptical at first since they are much lower than some DJs out there, but they turned out to be great. Happy Music DJ is a family business & they truly love what they do. That's what made the difference in their services.
