My photographer recommended adding Patrick to our wedding and at first I wasnʻt sure if I wanted to have videography as it wasnʻt in the budget and I had already made peace with th...
e fact that I wouldn't have one. Well after talking to my fiancé (now husband) he told me we should just do it lol so we played around with the budget and were able to squeeze and make it work! With that being said, it was the BEST DECISION we could have made!!!!!!! Patrick, along with our Photographer Jay, flew to Hawaiʻi to capture our big day! They met with us at the hotel room and got some amazing getting ready shots, then went to our venue to capture the rest of the wedding. I will say that I love photographs but having them and the amazing video by Patrick really allows us to go back and essentially re-live the moments!
COMMUNICATION - 10/10:
I am a very laid back bride so I didn't actually contact Patrick much at all after I paid my initial deposit. He reached out to me a few weeks before the wedding and asked to do a zoom call with us to confirm information and also discuss what we wanted overall in our video. He was very well spoken and kind to us throughout. No complaints.
WEDDING DAY - 10/10:
I met Patrick the day of my wedding in person for the first time. He was energetic and eager to start filming immediately which I appreciated! He kept the vibe up and made all of us laugh with his ideas (i.e. Okay bride now walk to that window like you own it, sway those hips like you mean it, etc). When he would ask me to do something specific, I really liked that if I was doing it awkwardly or incorrectly he was quick to jump in and show me exactly what the vision was. This is the perfect videographer for brides who are not models lol not everybody knows how to move their body or pose the right way to get the best results so it's SOOOOO important for videographers to help us, and especially in a kind way like Patrick does.
PRICE - 10/10:
Full disclosure that we did get a discounted rate as he was building his portfolio in Hawaiʻi weddings at the time so we were able to afford it but 100% he would have been worth every penny if we paid his normal rate.
VIDEO RECEIVED - 1000/10:
After the wedding I figured I wouldn't have heard about our video for at least 6 weeks because thatʻs pretty standard for turnaround time so I was SHOCKED to have received a teaser video the next day at 8:00am!! The teaser was so gorgeous that when I showed friends and family they thought it was the whole video and said it was beautiful 😂 but I loved that I could share it on Instagram right then and all of my friends and family who weren't at the wedding could see it! We did receive the entire video just over 5 weeks later though and it was perfection!! Furthermore, I mentioned to him that I was so sad I didn't have a video of just our dance because nobody videoed the whole thing or got a decent angle. I asked if he happened to have a longer clip he could send us and he kindly put together a video of just our dance in its entirety. Again, another stunning video that iʻll love forever!!
Thank you SO much Patrick for making our day special and making me feel so beautiful through your lens. You are the best!!

I recently had the pleasure of working with videographer extraordinaire, Patrick, to capture the most special day of my life, and I am beyond impressed with the results. From start...
to finish, Patrick demonstrated unparalleled professionalism, creativity, and a genuine passion for his craft. What sets Patrick apart is his remarkable attention to detail. He not only captured the big moments flawlessly but also paid exquisite attention to the intricate details that made our day truly unique. The shots of the beading on my wedding gown, the delicate floral arrangements, and the subtle emotions exchanged between us were all captured with incredible precision and quality. The level of detail in each frame truly reflects Patrick's dedication to his art. He captured moments, it was not point and shoot. The quality of the footage is nothing short of cinematic excellence. Patrick's use of lighting, composition, and his keen eye for the perfect angle resulted in a final product that surpassed all expectations. I loved his videography so much, I’m hoping to use some of the video footage to get photos as they superseded my photographers shots. The shots were not just recordings; they were moments frozen in time, each telling a story of its own. Patrick's ability to make us feel at ease was truly invaluable. Weddings can be overwhelming, and having a videographer who not only understands the importance of the day but also knows how to create a comfortable atmosphere is a rare find. He made us laugh and had the most excellent team. They allowed us to open up and be ourselves. What sets Patrick apart is his willingness to go above and beyond. He created a cinematic masterpiece and provided an exceptional videography experience. He invested time in understanding our vision, and it was evident that he genuinely cared about delivering a product that would exceed our expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Patrick to anyone in need of a videographer who not only possesses technical expertise but also a passion for storytelling, from start to finish. His exceptional attention to detail, ability to make clients feel at ease, and commitment to delivering outstanding results make him a standout professional in the field. Our wedding video is not just a recording; it's a work of art that we will cherish for a lifetime, thanks to Patrick's incredible talent and commitment to excellence.

There is no one better in the business. The personal touch, attentiveness and positive energy brought to our event was unmatched. He captured our souls and our love, and then made the coolest video out of it! We never expected it to be so thoughtfully put together. It more than exceeded our expectations and it is so evident how much time and effort he put into it. Watching the video brought tears to our eyes.
We have been telling all of our friends and family about Happy Thoughts and sharing the footage that he put together for us. Everyone thought it was beautifully well done. Thanks again Kuya Patrick for being the best!

Working with Happy Thoughts on my Wedding Day was an absolute pleasure. Patrick was very easy to
work with and seemed to capture all the right moments at the right time throughout ...
the day and night.
Patrick gave good instruction on what he was looking for to make the video look natural and not staged.
Even my husband who is a bit nervous in front of cameras really enjoyed the entire video making
experience. Our plan was to watch our video every year on our anniversary to reminisce on those happy
feelings that we felt on our Wedding Day. We just celebrated our 1-year anniversary and watched our
video as planned; it was so fun to see the day play over again. Patrick did a great job pulling the video
together to show the highlights of the day, our 25-minute video feels like you see everything that
happened over the course of 10 hours. Patrick, thank you for making such a beautiful video and helping
bring our Wedding to life each year on our anniversary!
