HappyCakes Cupcakery

The pickup time was a little late because we had to transport them but everyone said how wonderful the cupcakes were! They were absolutely delicious and perfect for our wedding!! The German chocolate cupcakes were my absolute favorite!!

HappyCakes was great!!! The cupcakes and wedding cake were wonderful, the prices were reasonable and I highly appreciated that they were willing to work with me as I live so far away. I would totally recommend them to anyone and will be using them again the next time I travel to Morehead City.

Seriously the best cupcakes EVER. My guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the cupcakes. My topper cutting cake was even better! The topper cake was completely customizable so I asked if we could make a coconut cake with a mango compote filling. I didn't see anything on the menu that incorporated mango, but they did it and it was fantastic. They sprinkled the outside with shredded coconut. It was both beautiful and delicious. We'll definitely have to have them recreate our topper cake for our anniversary. Kaylee was a pleasure to work with. She was so responsive and helpful to the whole process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with a wedding (cup)cake maker!

Ok. So I feel like the wedding cake is a big talking part at a wedding. People either love it or they hate or they don't eat it...but either way, they talk about it. I LOVE sweets so I was serious about our wedding cake. I also love variety and know that not everyone has the same tastes so I knew I wanted cupcakes with a variety of flavors...give the people what they want! I was told about HappyCakes by my wedding coordinator and if I didn't love her enough before this recommendation, I sure love her now. This adorable cupcakery won Food Network's Cupcake Wars and for extremely good reason. Not only are they all super sweet and wonderful to work with, their cupcakes ARE AMAZING. Seriously. The flavors are inventive but not in a strange way...in a "my tastebuds have died and gone to heaven" way. Or a "I don't care that I have to fit in my wedding dress, pass me another" kind of way. They use all natural/real ingredients so your cupcakes are fresh and we were able to get 8 different flavors (including a gluten free option!) for our guests and people FREAKED OUT. One guest told me he tried every single flavor. People were obsessed. They also did our topper cake so we could have something to cut into. The flavor? Oh, well they told us anything we could dream of they could do. We did one that was inspired by their turtle cupcake...I still want that cake a month later. Trust me, if you are getting married in the Morehead City area (or just visiting...they have a store front!) get their cupcakes. You won't be sorry. They are a little pricier than your average wedding cake, but save up for it...you will make your guests (and your stomach) very very happy!
