I can't rave enough about the level of service and overall experience that my husband and I received at the Harbor View! As a luxury wedding photographer who has worked with top-tier venues across New England, I had extremely high expectations for our own wedding vendors. Needless to say, the team at the Harbor View did not disappoint! We knew we wanted a full weekend experience for our guests, at a location on the water where everyone could stay and gather throughout the weekend. It was clear from the very beginning that Makenzie and her team were there to help us not only make that happen, but to help create a unique experience that didn't feel like "just another wedding". As our planning evolved over the months leading up, the team was always responsive and helpful with those developments. We had a wonderful experience with the Harbor View leading up to the wedding, but still couldn't have anticipated JUST how incredible the weekend turned out to be. We truly felt like VIP's. The food was incredible, many of our guests extended their stays because they loved it that much, and the hotel truly feels like our little home away from home getaway now. If we could do it all again, we would without a doubt have our wedding at the Harbor View Hotel again! The hotel and team were a highlight of our wedding experience, and we already can't wait to spend many, many anniversaries (and any other excuse we can find) back at the hotel!

Our Harbor View Wedding was perfect! The team was incredible to work with leading up to the wedding and the staff were all so kind and accommodating on the day of as well! I would highly recommend this venue and I know that we will be coming back for our anniversary for years to come!

From the very first email and phone call with Makenzie from the Harbor View Hotel, Tom and I knew we were in good hands when it came to our wedding. Makenzie was a joy to work with, even with the challenges of 2020 that forced us to postpone our wedding to 2021. Makenzie kept in touch with any upcoming changes and needs as we got closer to the wedding weekend. When we finally arrived on the Vineyard, there were no more things to plan - it was just time to enjoy and celebrate. Mackenzie and Shanon took over the details and our wedding was incredible. Our wedding weekend was simply amazing. We had our welcome party in the Bettini Club, the food was delicious and the staff were amazing. We felt taken care of in every facet and felt like celebrities the week of the wedding, every person working expressed congratulations and made us feel surrounded by joy the entire time we were at the Harbor View. Mackenzie’s carefully curated vendor list allowed us to connect and meet wonderful people. Tom and I wanted to have local vendors and thanks to Makenzie’s list we had the best vendors and made some great friendships as well. Overall the Harbor View Hotel was the best location for our wedding and truly is one of our favorite places to return to.

My now husband and I can not recommend the Harbor View Hotel along with Makenzie and the event team there enough. We had planned to have our dream wedding at the Harbor View for 20 months, when COVID suddenly ruined our dream wedding plans. Makenzie and her team helped us though the process and supported us and our decisions regarding how we needed to proceed. While we ultimately had a small micro-wedding on our original wedding date at my parents house, we could not have been more satisfied with the Harbor View and the support that they showed us through a difficult time. If you are looking for gorgeous venue and a vendor who will truly be your partner though the wedding planning process to work with you as plans change, unexpectedly or not, then look no further.

We had an amazing experience with the Harbor View Hotel for our wedding. The venue was beautiful, newly renovated and the views were amazing. Also, the food and service were wonderful. More importantly, the event coordinator, Makenzie Wall, was incredible. She was organized, wonderful to work with and had everything ready for the day. She really knows Martha's Vineyard (travel to and from the island, accommodations and wedding vendors) so planning the wedding from afar was much easier! I cant recommend this venue enough!!

Honestly - this is the only vendor I didn’t give 5 stars to. We hosted our rehearsal dinner here and it was terrible. No one was there to run it, the service was non-existent and our paid bartender got so wasted off our open bar that he began swearing at our guests. Stay away.

Hands down the best venue! Not only is it a dream spot that is quaint with a view but the food and staff is incredible! We had our wedding changed from October to September due to a new owner and the renovation schedule. Typically stories like these don't end well but our story came out better than imagined. The new owner truly did care about us and at the same time is passionate about making the Harbor View the very best it can be for all guests! You can always tell a good place by how they handle difficult situations and the way they handled moving our wedding was very prompt and professional. The staff as well as our event coordinator Makenzie ( the absolute BEST) was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make the weekend perfect ! It was important for our guests to enjoy the weekend and they did so by being able to easily walk into downtown Edgartown, ride complimentary bikes, enjoy the heated pool with the bar or relax on the porch for the best sunrise on island! All of our guests stayed in the cottages onsite, our ceremony was on the porch and the reception was in the Lighthouse Grille. The Harbor View was a DREAM venue and I can not recommend it enough! Thank you Harbor View Team, see you all again very soon!

This was the absolute most perfect venue for our reception. Situated right on Edgartown Harbor, the views are absolutely stunning. We were able to achieve our goal of having an indoor/outdoor reception with the wrap around porch and lawn that were off of the Edgartown room. The staff at The Harbor View were extremely professional, proficient, and incredibly kind. They truly helped make our day so special. The food was also amazing. We were able to serve lobster and steak and our guests were all very pleased! If you are looking for a spectacular island view and want to work with the best staff, book the Harbor View!

The tasting was better than the wedding day food, but to be expected when serving in bulk. Seemed little coordination between hotel planners or with us in the beginning. i.e. additional ceremonies and brunches booked which we found out after the fact and made us have to change our timing and/or location of our events when we were the party spending our entire ceremony/reception at hotel. Be aware of town ordinances if planning for events outside. i.e. no speaker amplification. Schedule of events delayed, but everything still fit into reception. Don't panic if corrospondence is slow, two weeks before coordination really starts. They are a busy wedding vendor, however, this can also mean last minute changes and expenses to budget, which other vendors had warned us about as well.

We had our goodbye brunch here, and also used them as a room block on the island. Brunch was delicious, the room set-up was lovely, and most importantly the view of the Edgartown harbor and Edgartown lighthouse was fabulous!
