Harborside Hotel, Spa and Marina

I don't even know where to begin!!! This is a hidden gem that I know will only get more and more popular. Genesis and Deb are the best. We worked mostly with Genesis, but my mom and Deb are now best friends hahahaha!! We live in NYC and had a destination wedding. It was many guests first trip to Maine and the club certainly showed off giving our guests a great time. We had our welcome party in the club's pool house, wedding ceremony on the club lawn, reception in the large ballroom, then ended the weekend with breakfast in the smaller ballroom. We loved that the space is all inclusive. It made everything so much easier. I loved not having to think about renting tables and flatware. There is enough to think about as is! When we went to the tasting, we thought the food was really good, but did not expect it to be as good day of because banquet cooking is really hard!! The food was amazing!! They cooked the steak perfectly! Everyone loved having surf and turf for dinner. They were really accommodating when we asked to make some tweaks. For example, we selected a chicken dish option, but asked to use the risotto from another dish. All the guests raved about how good their dinner was and how much they loved the apps. I regret not trying them because we were so busy! I wish we made a plate! There was an actual honeycomb dripping with honey at the charcuterie station... like what?!? We have been to several weddings since ours and the guests who also went to ours all said our food was better. The cake was also so good and so pretty!! We picked the carrot cake and cream cheese option since both of our families like that cake. I last minute had an idea of a new design and he did it!!! I will say this is a seasonal place. The resort is closed for about half of the year. It was hard to get in touch with them during that time because they are given other jobs within the company (Opal). It is totally understandable and out of their control. Genesis has a really important and big job and I hope that she can chill more and focus on her couples during the off season.

We used the Bar Harbor Club (Harborside Hotel's Reception Space) this past summer. It was FLAWLESS! The team is amazing, and really knows what they are doing. This venue is incredible, has a beautiful setting for the ceremony and an awesome contracted florist for the reception. This was a destination wedding for us, so having such an incredible team took so much of the stress away! The food is impeccable, the best I have ever had at a wedding. Cannot recommend Bar Harbor Club enough!!!!

My husband and I can't say enough great things about our entire wedding experience with the Harborside Hotel, Spa and Marina. The hotel and venue are conveniently located in downtown Bar Harbor with great views of the ocean and nearby islands. The spa was very accommodating to arrange for the entire bridal party to have our nails done together. The food during the cocktail hour, reception, and our farewell breakfast was all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Beyond all of this, the one thing that continues to stand out is the impeccable service we received. Deb Jordan and Olivia Grandchamp were both fantastic to work with - knowledgable about local vendors, quick to respond to questions, and really made us feel like our wedding was the event of the summer. We will never forget Olivia getting drenched in a sudden downpour before the ceremony because she was literally out there holding everything together for us! Multiple guests even commented about the quality and professionalism of the service staff compared to other weddings they had been to. The Bar Harbor Club was an amazing venue for our May 2019 wedding! It was a bit daunting to have the wedding 500 miles away from home, but Olivia and Deb assisted with every step - We had a lot of questions and they were always quick to respond either by email or phone. They were so organized that by the time we got to Maine for our wedding weekend, we could relax and just enjoy being in such a beautiful spot with our family and friends! Everything, I mean everything, was seamless. The florist (the Bud Connection in Ellsworth) that the Bar Harbor Club partners with can do it all - Barb worked with us to create the perfect ambiance and was amazing at making our vision come to life. The on-staff pastry chef at Bar Harbor Club was incredible. The cake we requested was even more beautiful than anticipated - Eduardo is amazing!! The food and wait staff were first class, too! We held a “Welcome Party" the night before our wedding at the Bar Harbor Club pool house. This was a great space for our wedding guests to gather for desserts and drinks overlooking the beach and ocean. The view from the pool house might just be the best view from the venue! Long story short: the Bar Harbor Club was a perfect setting for our magical wedding weekend and we would 100% do it again!
