Our daughter’s wedding at the Bar Harbor Club and Harborside Hotel was absolutely perfect! The entire experience was beyond our expectations. The food was amazing, the staff was ph...
enomenal, and every detail was handled with such care and professionalism. (JEN ROCKS) From start to finish, everything ran smoothly, and the setting could not have been more beautiful. Our daughter truly had the perfect wedding, and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible
We immediately felt Genesis' warmth upon the first meeting we had with her at the Bar Harbor Club/Harborside Resort. Genesis took us on a tour of the beautiful property and we knew...
immediately that we had found our wedding venue. We had spent several months touring various wedding venues in New England and they all paled in comparison. Genesis is thorough, beyond organized, knowledgeable and incredibly patient. I truly do not know how I would have been able to plan such an event without her guidance and support. Our wedding guests still rave about our wedding weekend and how fun and well-planned the entire event was. Several of our wedding guests stated it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. We look forward to returning for weekend getaways to the Harborside Resort. Thank you again, Genesis and the staff at The Bar Harbor Club/Harborside Resort for ensuring that our weekend was an absolute dream!
I don't even know where to begin!!! This is a hidden gem that I know will only get more and more popular. Genesis and Deb are the best. We worked mostly with Genesis, but my mom an...
d Deb are now best friends hahahaha!! We live in NYC and had a destination wedding. It was many guests first trip to Maine and the club certainly showed off giving our guests a great time. We had our welcome party in the club's pool house, wedding ceremony on the club lawn, reception in the large ballroom, then ended the weekend with breakfast in the smaller ballroom.
We loved that the space is all inclusive. It made everything so much easier. I loved not having to think about renting tables and flatware. There is enough to think about as is!
When we went to the tasting, we thought the food was really good, but did not expect it to be as good day of because banquet cooking is really hard!! The food was amazing!! They cooked the steak perfectly! Everyone loved having surf and turf for dinner. They were really accommodating when we asked to make some tweaks. For example, we selected a chicken dish option, but asked to use the risotto from another dish. All the guests raved about how good their dinner was and how much they loved the apps. I regret not trying them because we were so busy! I wish we made a plate! There was an actual honeycomb dripping with honey at the charcuterie station... like what?!? We have been to several weddings since ours and the guests who also went to ours all said our food was better.
The cake was also so good and so pretty!! We picked the carrot cake and cream cheese option since both of our families like that cake. I last minute had an idea of a new design and he did it!!!
I will say this is a seasonal place. The resort is closed for about half of the year. It was hard to get in touch with them during that time because they are given other jobs within the company (Opal). It is totally understandable and out of their control. Genesis has a really important and big job and I hope that she can chill more and focus on her couples during the off season.
We used the Bar Harbor Club (Harborside Hotel's Reception Space) this past summer. It was FLAWLESS! The team is amazing, and really knows what they are doing. This venue is incredi...
ble, has a beautiful setting for the ceremony and an awesome contracted florist for the reception. This was a destination wedding for us, so having such an incredible team took so much of the stress away! The food is impeccable, the best I have ever had at a wedding. Cannot recommend Bar Harbor Club enough!!!!
My husband and I can't say enough great things about our entire wedding experience with the Harborside Hotel, Spa and Marina. The hotel and venue are conveniently located in downto...
wn Bar Harbor with great views of the ocean and nearby islands. The spa was very accommodating to arrange for the entire bridal party to have our nails done together. The food during the cocktail hour, reception, and our farewell breakfast was all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Beyond all of this, the one thing that continues to stand out is the impeccable service we received. Deb Jordan and Olivia Grandchamp were both fantastic to work with - knowledgable about local vendors, quick to respond to questions, and really made us feel like our wedding was the event of the summer. We will never forget Olivia getting drenched in a sudden downpour before the ceremony because she was literally out there holding everything together for us! Multiple guests even commented about the quality and professionalism of the service staff compared to other weddings they had been to. Thank you so much to the Harborside Hotel, Spa and Marina, for everything!
The Bar Harbor Club was an amazing venue for our May 2019 wedding! It was a bit daunting to have the wedding 500 miles away from home, but Olivia and Deb assisted with every ste...
p - We had a lot of questions and they were always quick to respond either by email or phone. They were so organized that by the time we got to Maine for our wedding weekend, we could relax and just enjoy being in such a beautiful spot with our family and friends!
Everything, I mean everything, was seamless. The florist (the Bud Connection in Ellsworth) that the Bar Harbor Club partners with can do it all - Barb worked with us to create the perfect ambiance and was amazing at making our vision come to life. The on-staff pastry chef at Bar Harbor Club was incredible. The cake we requested was even more beautiful than anticipated - Eduardo is amazing!! The food and wait staff were first class, too!
We held a “Welcome Party" the night before our wedding at the Bar Harbor Club pool house. This was a great space for our wedding guests to gather for desserts and drinks overlooking the beach and ocean. The view from the pool house might just be the best view from the venue!
Long story short: the Bar Harbor Club was a perfect setting for our magical wedding weekend and we would 100% do it again!
My husband and I are so happy we choose the Harborside Hotel as our wedding venue! We fell in love with Bar Harbor on our first visit and, when we got engaged, we knew we wanted to...
get married in town. We choose the Harborside Hotel because it provided a central location for our guests to conveniently experience Acadia and Bar Harbor with all the added amenities of a resort. Being from Philadelphia, we were also drawn to the history of the Bar Harbor Club and the 20th Century glamour the Stotesbury Ballroom offered. The views from the Bar Harbor Club provided a stunning background to our reception and a sunset over the harbor few of our guests will forget. We were also able to take most of our pictures on property which gave us the time to host an intimate cocktail hour with our wedding party on the roof deck of our Boathouse Suite, which is one of my favorite memories from the whole weekend! The venue gave us pictures that captured our wedding day and the beauty of Bar Harbor together, which we will treasure forever and now decorate our home. All the staff at the Harborside Hotel helped make the entire weekend come together better than we had hoped. Deb and Olivia specifically were exceptionally organized and helped us coordinate every detail at the venue, including coordinating our rehearsal dinner with Stewman’s and the boat cruise we hosted with he Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company. This was particularly helpful given we were planning a destination wedding and were only able to visit the venue in person twice before the wedding. They have years of experience with weddings in Bar Harbor, provided wonderful vendor recommendations and guided us through the whole process. We would absolutely recommend the Harborside Hotel to anyone looking to plan an event in Bar Harbor!
We just had our wedding at the Bar Harbor Club on Sunday, July 2nd. The wedding was absolutely perfect and we could not have asked for a better day. Everyone at the club went o...
ut of their way to make everything perfect for us and Deb and Emily were fantastic to work with.
All of our guests really enjoyed the wedding as well and many of them said that it was the most beautiful wedding that they had ever been to. The views from the front lawn are simply breathtaking and the food served at the reception was so delicious. Our guests also really enjoyed relaxing on the patio by the fire after dinner. We also had a brunch at the club the following morning and the food was also delicious. I could go on and on about how great our experience was.
This place was breath taking! A must see.
