H.I. We are Sam and Ian Hardesty. A husband and wife duo photographer and videographer based out of Kent, Ohio. We capture couples who are best friends first and partner’s second. Your love is so true for each other and that's what we love capturing! (Yes, it may be cheesy but it's true!) We can see the joy you have for each other in your eyes.
Our style is bright, colorful and fun! We are sure to not only include the basics in your wedding photo and videos, we also add in some documentary, candid and funny ones too! We want you to remember your day for how it was, not just by the formal or posed times.
We have both a videographer and a photographer’s eye. Choosing a photo & video team from the same company is a huge game changer for the Day of. We work together all the time so we have a plan before we get into the day. We know where each other will be, and there is no miscommunication.
We strive for great customer service. You deserve someone that doesn't treat you like a transaction. Whether you have questions about what outfit to your engagement photoshoot, Day of timeline questions or just need to vent/have a therapy session, we are here for it all! We are low-stress, high vibes kind of people.
You will see us tear up during the ceremony, dance behind the cameras at the reception, and have heartfelt goodbyes at the end of the night. We are full-time small business owners that love what we do!

, I was nervous about keeping everyone on schedule, but Sam & Ian handled the large group with such ease and patience. They kept everything moving so smoothly. They are very detail orientated and have a unique eye for detail and candid moments. When we received the photos, we were blown away with every image! They captured the pure joy and emotion of the day perfectly. Sam and Ian were a dream to work with and I cannot recommend them enough!

s with our wedding day itinerary as they wanted to be involved and make sure they captured all the moments (which they did)!! They gave us suggestions, feedback and options for certain activities and photo ops. One of the ones they told us about (the photo dash) we ended up using and us and are guests enjoyed it so much! The photo dash group table pictures came out so good and were a blast to look at! We did some getting ready shots, they got our detail shots, dad first look shot (last min addition that they made happen) and we did the bridesmaid and groomsman photos before the ceremony and everything went so smoothly! Everything was on the itinerary and timed out but they just kept everything going an so was never worried about time. I was also surprised that taking photos was FUN! Ian and Sam made it so enjoyable and captured all the fun, happiness and personalities! They had all the poses and ideas and asked for our ideas too much we didn't need to worry about what pictures to get. Even the boys said they loved taking photos and that they wanted to be friends with Sam and Ian! They captured everything in the ceremony (some of our fav pics are the excitement right after we said I do and the dip)! They had us organize our family photos ahead of time and this part of the day also went smooth and fast with their direction. They got some great dancing shots and then knew the perfect time to come and get us for our sunset photoshoot (so glad we did this as the photos were beautiful). They were also so in tune and engaged with the day and the vibe! Ian asked us if we wanted to do a volleyball pose at sunset because a lot of the speeches in the day referenced volleyball (so sweet and fun)! The video and photos captured all the moments (we all cried watching the video as it was amazing and just a perfect representation of the day). They got us the photos and the video quickly too (they said it would take 4 to 6 weeks and we got them in a month and 4 days, awesome! With some preview photos the next day)! The photos and video are easy to share with a link. We can't recommend them enough, thank you Sam and Ian!!!

Our pictures and video turned out so amazing and I have received so many compliments on them as well. There were times I didn’t even know they were there in that moment till I saw the pictures. We got our pictures and video back less than 4 weeks after our wedding and I even added on a video of my father/daughter dance after the fact to surprise my dad with (which was so special) and we received it within two weeks. Overall, you will not go wrong with hiring Hardesty Imaging. They were the best vendor we hired and were the perfect addition to our wedding day!

re not disappointed at all. Hardesty was probably some of the best money we spent on our wedding. Sam & Ian were amazing for our wedding day. Everyone in the bridal party was saying how amazing and fun they were to work with - which we totally agree with. Our wedding was on 11/11/2023, and we got our wedding pictures and video back on 12/5/2023. We were SO happy & shocked. We thought with the holidays that it may take a little longer (totally understandable) but they worked so fast. The pictures are stunning. With a November wedding there was not much outdoor scenery, but they pictures look stunning. I am so unbelieveably happy and have been recommending them to all of friends that are getting married. They captured the most special parts of our big day and we can not stop watching our video and sending everyone our pictures.

We were turned down by both a venue and a catering service due to being a same sex couple!! Sam and Ian didn’t hesitate for a single second to be hired for our wedding and treated us with the same excitement, professionalism, and greatness I had previously witnessed with my best friend’s wedding!! From the planning process to the final product, they are whole heartedly the kindest most professional people to work with! Their love for one another shines through the work they do capturing other people’s love!! ading up to the wedding, checking in with us and answering any random questions we had for the big day. On the wedding day- Sam and Ian made me (the bride) feel SO at peace, I knew they were capturing every special moment which allowed me to relax and be fully present in the moment. Their personalities are perfect for what they do. Sam even went above and beyond and asked wedding guests that were standing in the doorways to take a seat so I wouldn’t have to deal with talking to a bunch of people before walking down the aisle. At the end of the night, Sam and Ian gifted my husband and I a polaroid booklet of some candid shots they had captured during the day, it was such a sweet way for us to reminisce on our incredible day. 10/10 experience, 10/10 couple!
