About this vendor
Welcome to Harper Blankenship Photography
I’m an Austin-based wedding photographer with over a decade of experience and more than 300 weddings photographed. I’m known for creating images that feel genuine, emotional, and elevated, while still letting couples actually enjoy their wedding day instead of feeling like they’re performing for the camera.
My approach is calm, organized, and people-focused. I guide you through natural, flattering posing and movement in a way that feels easy and comfortable, especially if you don’t consider yourselves “photogenic.” You’ll never be left wondering what to do with your hands, but you’ll also never feel stiff or overly posed. The goal is for you to look like yourselves, just on one of the most meaningful days of your lives.
I pay close attention to the details that matter. From the way your day flows, to the small design elements you spent months planning, to the quiet, in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening. My work blends intentional storytelling with a refined, editorial feel, resulting in images that feel timeless, emotional, and cohesive when viewed as a full wedding gallery or heirloom album.
Couples often tell me they chose me not just for my work, but for how supported they felt throughout the process. I bring experience, clarity, and a steady presence to every wedding day, so you can relax, stay present, and trust that everything important is being captured.
If you’re looking for an Austin wedding photographer who values connection, thoughtful direction, and images that feel both honest and artful, I’d be honored to document your wedding day.

silly and outgoing, she is great with any and everyone! She was kind enough to work around our crazy schedules and the engagement shoots went so well too! Wedding photos were amazing and we couldn’t recommend any better! She is one of a kind, BOOK HER!!

ed up in every moment.
After looking through what seemed to be hundreds of portfolios, I knew Harper was the perfect match for us because of her natural, vibrant editing style and the genuine, never overdone, joy she captured in her couples.
During our wedding day, her calm and reassuring presence made my fiance and I feel so at home in front of the camera. Even while pregnant (and I'm sure wanting to put their feet up), Harper and Shelby (second shooter) kept us laughing all day. Even crazier, she turned around amazing sneak peeks in less than 24 hours... who does that?!?!
All in all, Harper, you are an absolute light and we are so grateful to have had you with us on our day. THANK YOU!!
Where do I even begin? Do you want your wedding pictures to turn out even better than you could have ever imagined? Do you want to do more than a wedding session? Do you want to in...
stantly feel comfortable with and fall in love with your photographer? Well, then look no more because you found her. You absolutely NEED to book Harper Blankenship as your photographer!! Harper has been nothing but perfect, accommodating, helpful, and patient the entire time I had the pleasure to work with her. Her playful and inviting personality will have you instantly smiling your best smiles while making sure that you are comfortable and enjoying your time being photographed! Every time I got to be photographed by Harper I had an absolute blast. I can’t wait to get the chance to have Harper as my photographer again sometime in the near future, because she truly is THE BEST!
Can I leave more than 5 stars?! Because she deserves 10! Harper has excellent skills and is VERY easy to work with. My bridal shoot was a very smooth and fun 1 hour session. Less t...
han 3 days later I had over 100 photos ready ! I was extremely pleased with ALL the photos and the turnaround. She was at my wedding for a full 9 hours and I received 30 sneak peak photos THE NEXT NIGHT. I think that speaks volumes to the amount of compassion she has for her clients. She is very responsive despite her slammed schedule of weddings/engagements/bridals. Harper is professional yet fun and knows how to make you feel comfortable for what could be something very awkward. My husband hates to be in front of cameras but Harper made everything feel so normal and natural and easy!! Not an easy task to do with him! Not only is her work incredible but prices are affordable! You will truly miss out if you don’t use Harper!!
Harper is absolutely astounding! I just happened to find her on the internet and absolutely loved her portfolio. The first time we met was when she took my bridals and my mom, sist...
er and I all fell in love with her! She made the whole situation a breeze! I was so comfortable and felt in my element, which I wasn't! She got the photos back to me THAT DAY. Which is absolutely insane and they were stunning. Everything I dreamed of! She worked with my now husband and I and heard out every one of our hopes and dreams leading up to the wedding and was so supportive the whole time. When it came to the wedding day, mega unfortunately Harper got Covid and wasn't able to come. She lined up incredible photographers to take over and assured me that they knew exactly what I was wanting and even told them, based on their styles, what photos to take and when so she could ensure I would be getting what we had previously talked about. What could have been literally horrendous ended up only being sad that we missed Harper at the wedding. But she came through with backup photographers and then edited the photos to absolute perfection! Harper's ability to fix the whole situation to still be absolutely everything I wanted without even being there shows her professionalism and care for her clients. Hands down choosing Harper was one of the best things we did for our big day. Forever grateful and also forever staring at our photos! THANK YOU HARPER!
Do it! Choose Harper! If you’re here, reading Harper’s reviews, it means you’re already interested; you already found something about Harper that you like. It could be the AMAZING ...
photos she takes (obviously), her light, colorful and happy photography style (romantic- check, majestic- check) or her goofy and warm personality (patiently waiting for her Netflix standup special). Whatever caught your eye; you WILL NOT be disappointed.
Harper was/is the best decision I made for my wedding- and I made A LOT of decisions. From the engagement shoot to my wedding day, Harper continued to amaze me. Her ability to make even the most awkward couple (my husband and I) look photogenic is truly a testament to her knowledge and talent. The way Harper captures all the love you’re feeling and none of the awkwardness is just- *chef’s kiss*. There are no cringy prom poses, no weird acrobatic tricks to get gorgeous photos. She has simply mastered her art.
So, you can keep reading Harper’s reviews but you’ll keep seeing the same thing repeated: “Harper is THE best photographer and you WILL NOT regret choosing her for any and all of your photography needs”. Seriously, save yourself time and potential heartaches from other photographers. The proof is in the pictures!
OKAY, Y’ALL. You NEED to book Harper!!!! She is hands down the BEST choice you could ever make for your wedding photographer and here’s why:
1. She is extremely talented and incr...
edibly artistic. She knows exactly what she’s doing and gets the best shots during every given moment. Her images are fun, full of life & color, and accurately demonstrate the love between you and your spouse.
2. She is extremely professional and a BLAST to work with! I had SO much fun with her each time we met up during the wedding process. She did our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and the pictures for our wedding. Each time we received an online gallery from Harper, she delivered to us a large amount of AMAZING images! We were so pleased with how everything turned out!!
3. She is a problem-solver and will go out of her way to ensure that your day runs as smoothly as possible. She really is a bridesmaid without the bouquet! I felt so much more comfortable in the midst of the craziness of my wedding day because Harper was there to reassure me & guide me through the timeline of events.
4. She is a wonderful friend to all! She does not meet a stranger. And I believe that it is because of this that she finds little trouble in creating an environment where her clients feel comfortable in front of her camera.
You will NOT regret choosing her for your wedding! I am so BEYOND glad that we chose Harper to be our photographer. I will not be getting professional pictures done by anyone else!

l portraits, and our wedding day on November 21, 2020. She was wonderful to work with - both helpful and quick at responding to questions and played a huge role in helping me figure out my timeline for my wedding. Lastly, my worst fear was working with vendors who are too serious but Harper was so much fun to work with and get to know over the past year! We had so many great laughs and she made the photography process easy and fun. Harper is personable, very talented and such a joy to work with. We highly recommend her for your wedding!

Harper was, without a doubt, the absolute best decision we made for our wedding. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable from the moment we met at the engagement session! She...
was able to capture the two of us in a way that was so natural and authentic to our relationship. When it was over, hubby-to-be said "That was actually fun!" She was readily available whenever I had any questions, and by the wedding day she seemed like a long lost best friend! My family loved working with her and we all just felt so comfortable on the wedding day. When we got our images back, we were STUNNED. Every memory and important detail was intricately captured, and she captured all the emotional moments of the day without missing a beat. Not to mention, she made my already beautiful wedding look even more high end! To this day, my husband still sees her social media posts over my shoulder and says "Harper is hilarious. She's the best". Needless to say, Harper has made a customer for life and we'll be back for all our future photographer needs! Thank you Harper!

the same time getting us the most beautiful wedding photos. She was also super willing to work with us on a tiny request we had for some short video clips. Very comfortable to work with, I felt like she was a friend I've known for a while. Cherry on top she was able to edit our photos very fast! We had our photos in just 6 days! (Side note: it was also rainy and freezing cold outside that day. Still got great photos. Perfection!)

ives. We instantly felt at ease with her when she arrived. She was super personable and chatted with us while we worked. Booking was easy and she returned our photos so quickly at a high quality. I would recommend Harper to ANYONE looking for a kind, engaging, family-friendly, high quality, professional photographer.

hoot. This alone is amazing. Our friends and family wanted to see pictures and we were all having too much fun to take any, so it was nice to have something to show them a day or so after the wedding! Second, her timelines are amazing. Even if she is running a little behind (for her own standard) it's still way sooner than any of my friends received their photos! Third, she gets the shots, quickly, efficiently, and even our groomsman (ya know, the grumpy boys who don't like pictures) raved about how easy she is to work with and how they felt like it was quick and painless! She is fairly priced, you get an amazing amount of pictures, and she honestly feels like family at this point! We seriously could not be happier! Thank you Harper!

ntly felt at east with her. She returned those photos in less than a day! She captured our Engagement Session a couple of months later and blew us away with her talent. The way she captures the subject and environment is so special and made us feel like models. Harper was at my wedding from start to finish and, once again, blew us away! I was both crying and laughing while looking through our wedding photos for the first time - she truly has a gift when it comes to photography. I particularly love how she is able to use natural lighting in photos, and how every environment looks and feels magical. Besides being such a bad a$$, she is also extremely easy to work with, responds to questions very timely, returns images crazy fast, and is professional in every way. We look forward to booking Harper for all our sessions in the future!
Harper was fantastic!! I received my photos way before she said they would be ready. Each and every photo was perfect! Harper was very courteous to the guests, she didn't get in...
