Harper Hall

Highly recommend! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Harper Hall and have nothing but positive things to say. Jamie went above and beyond during the planning process and the day of! The venue space is beautiful and many things have been thought through. Truly a great space to host your wedding!

Harper Hall was our absolute dream wedding venue! We utilized the bottom floor for our ceremony and the upstairs for our reception. The cocktail patio on the second floor is an extra space that added the perfect touch, especially for pictures! The wedding process from the beginning was seamless while working with Jamie. She was readily available for any questions, was always in contact with our vendors, and was able to help us conceptualize our layout and design for our wedding day. The bartenders provided were knowledgeable and quick with service. Our night was perfect in every way due to the organization and team at Harper Hall! We could not recommend them enough!!!

My husband and I chose Harper Hall for our wedding day for multiple reasons. Convenience, size, aesthetic, and communication being the main ones. - Aesthetic: Our wedding was held on Friday the 13th in October so we had to go with a moody horror theme! We even projected classic horror film clips on both the projector and their TVs. Even with the space having a brighter feel, it was easily transformed to fit our style. It had a beautiful breezeway that didn’t even need to be decorated. They allowed us to hang a disco ball which perfected our dance floor area. The outside of the building was covered in vines and was perfect for our ‘first look’ and family photos. - Communication: From touring the space to booking to smaller meetings leading up to the day - their event manager, Jamie, was always very responsive and easy to work with! She was available to answer any and all questions either ourselves or our coordinators/caterers had. Even after our wedding, she kept in touch about items that were forgotten in the cleanup. - Convenience: The building is located less than a two minute walk to Gratz Park where we held our ceremony. It is surrounded by downtown hotels and restaurants for guests. It does not have its own parking (not many spaces do in downtown Lexington) but there is a massive pay-to-park lot just across the street that isn’t too pricey as well as street parking. Harper Hall provides their own bar staff (who were top notch) AND security, which is nice for keeping your event more private. They have a pretty large catering kitchen as well. They provide tables and chairs for the space and have a nice audio system with microphones. - Size: The space easily accommodated our guest list of 110, and we only used one level! There is plenty of restrooms (which is great for an event of our size that’s serving alcohol). Not once did I feel like it felt crowded. Their ‘bridal suite’ was the perfect size for my smaller bridal party. Harper Hall and their staff really went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was exactly how we wanted it to be. I’ll be recommending them to everyone for any event (not just weddings)!

My husband and I had the BEST time at our wedding thanks to Harper Hall and Jamie Cawood. The venue was truly “us” with both modern and rustic design elements. It was easy to dress up however we wanted, which we kept pretty minimal and it was still a gorgeous event. No one had a wedding booked the day before so Jamie let us come a day early to set up. The night of, she hung out just the right amount and made sure everything ran smoothly, picking up constantly and filling in the gaps in planning that my husband and I forgot. We were going to call and Uber to take us to our hotel after and Jamie said she would give us a ride instead! When we went to pick up our decorations the next day, Jamie had packed a lot of stuff up neatly for us. I can’t imagine the cluster that day would have been without her! I HIGHLY recommend this venue. I felt like we got a huge deal and Jamie was amazing to work with! You can tell she truly loves what she does!
