From the moment we heard some sample pieces on Catherine's website, we knew she was the harpist for us! so sweet, so affordable, and so talented!! Catherine was great from the get-go. She was great with communicating throughout the whole process of the wedding. She brought all of her own equipment, too! Catherine did a spectacular job, day of! She played for our ceremony as well as our cocktail hour. I absolutely loved the song I walked down the aisle to- The Bells. It gave me goosebumps! I would 100% recommend Catherine Way!!!!

Catherine was wonderful to work with! We realized that we wanted to have a harpist for our ceremony, and Catherine was very responsive and had a lot of knowledge to share about the ceremony process. Her worksheets and online samples made it fun to select our music, and several guests gushed about how it made the ceremony complete. Two of our guests are professional musicians (one being a harpist herself), and they verified her skill. I would definitely recommend adding Catherine to your list of vendors!

Catherine was amazing and a wondering addition to our wedding day. She is so kind, genuine, and flexible. We were actually recommended Catherine from someone else and after reading previous reviews, my fiancé and I were extremely excited to work with her. After our initial contact, we were still confident in our choice to use Catherine. After signing a contract, we contacted Catherine to ask her for her PayPal information to pay our initial deposit. We ended up leaving a voicemail, in which she called back shortly. At this point, things went downhill. She was irritated, unprofessional and stated, “I’m actually busy right now and need to head out the door.” But wait...you called us back. All we were trying to do was give her our money...After a moment of disbelief, my fiancé and I tried to save the conversation, which fell short due to her unprofessionalism and disrespectful tone/comments. We had finally had enough and before we could even say we were no longer interested, she cut us off and said, “I already know, you no longer want to work with me” and hung up the phone. Save yourself and do not risk your special day on someone who does not have time for her clients. In addition, who is to say that she wouldn’t walk out and not perform on your big day? We hope you all read this and thankfully, we did not make the mistake of going with Catherine Way on our wedding day.

Catherine is the BEST! She was always so prompt with her replies to any questions my mother or I had. She was so kind and patient as we had tons of questions. The harp was so unique but at the same time, timeless! She truly has a passion for music and it shows. She is extremely talented! She had so many song choices and even offered to learn songs if it was one we really wanted. She learned "Tara's Theme" from Gone With The Wind, just for my momma's ceremony entrance. It truly meant a lot to the both of us. What I also love about Catherine is that she plays a lot of popular music, not just classical which you may think of when you think of the harp. During our ceremony and cocktail hour we had music from the Beatles, Disney, Metallica, and even the "Game of Thrones" theme song. Catherine is a true artist when it comes to the harp. We truly feel blessed to have her as a part of our special day.

I took the time to look through musicians for our ceremony and after contacting a few vendors I was not convinced with, I bumped into Harpstrings, Inc. When I listened to her samples, I knew I wanted to hire her. All the other ones I was recommended were super overrated, pricey and sounded pretty amateur. I was really happy I found Catherine's page. She was super easy to get in touch with, and had many options for us to choose from. We also asked for music outside of her repertoire, and she was able to do it for a little extra as she had to buy the partitures and learn the new songs. It was totally worth it. Not only is Catherine a spectacular musician, but she was so incredibly organized and gave us wonderful recommendations throughout the entire planning process. We had a very small, intimate wedding, and Catherine provided so many great suggestions to ensure the process was smooth. She spent a ton of time with us, explaining all the details of her services and how she would be performing at the wedding. Catherine did an amazing job at my reception, she played all the songs beautifully!!! I couldn't have asked for a better harpist. Her energy and friendliness are exceptional. She worked with me over the phone and email because I live in Chicago and had my wedding in Florida, and was a great help with choosing the songs and telling me about the organization and processional schedules, I had no idea of any of this! She also helped me with the ceremonies that go on during the wedding (I chose a wine ceremony and it went great). Catherine is very knowledgeable and a great artist, she even played a song that was not in her repertoire, a very unique song to me and she played it flawlessly, I highly recommend her, she is the best!

I first heard Catherine's music when I had gone to a bridal/wedding convention in Orlando. I heard her music and fell in love, and kept her card. When it came time to choose a ceremony musician, it was a no-brainer...my fiancé and I always knew we wanted actual musicians rather than DJ/loudspeaker music for our ceremony to add a more traditional and personal touch. After looking at her website we chose to have a duo of harp and violin. It was a WONDERFUL choice; the music was absolutely heavenly. So many of our guests gushed about the ceremony music afterwards, and our families felt that it was so moving and really added to the emotion and "feel" of the ceremony. All of our music selections were executed perfectly, and everything was beautiful. In addition to the actual music the day of the event, I really have to commend Catherine on her professionalism and kind personality. Although we got married in FL where I grew up, my husband and I live in NY so it was not easy planning an out of state wedding. In addition, I have a hectic work schedule with odd hours, which made planning difficult. However, in regards to planning our ceremony music, Catherine made it incredibly easy. She was always prompt with every email, and patient with all of my questions. She also was understanding with the need for me to plan so much in advance in comparison to other brides, due to a strenuous work schedule the two months before my wedding. Catherine emails out a sheet with music "suggestions" for different parts of the ceremony, however she has such a large selection of songs that it was easy to choose selections in our taste and style. Catherine Way is a professional harpist whose gorgeous music graced our daughter's wedding and entertained our guests during cocktail hour. If you are looking to have the best, then look know further. I found Catherine by chance online and let me tell you, I was lucky I did. She was wonderful and she played every song I asked for from her choice list (which is quite extensive). I was lucky enough to have met Catherine Way at a local Bridal Show, one year before my wedding. After a lengthy conversation with Catherine, I realized that she had to be the Harpist at my wedding. From the beginning she was warm, friendly, and very easy to talk to. She helped me in several areas of my wedding, not only the musical selection, but right down to the creation and order of the ceremony. This was a second wedding for my husband and I, and she had fabulous input as to what was "proper" and still celebratory for us. We were in contact all throughout the year, but 2 weeks before the ceremony we had a telephone meeting and went over every component of the ceremony. Catherine was the friendliest, most professional and organized of all of my wedding vendors. My husband and I recommend her highly. She listens and helps you to create your special day. I knew from the first moment that my husband and I began planning our wedding that I did not want the usual music, I wanted to hear a harp as I walked down the aisle. After looking around and doing my homework, I found Catherine. Catherine was wonderful! She spent lots of time helping. We wanted to have one of our friends sing during our sand ceremony...our friend lives 5 states away. Catherine called her and did phone rehearsals with her just to help make our day even more special. Additionally, I was not really sure I wanted the tradition "Here Comes the Bride Song," but sent her my list of songs with that on it (pressure from family and friends got to me). I am guessing that Catherine could sense my hesitation because she quickly responded by telling me that it is my day and if I don't want to walk down the aisle to that song, I shouldn't...and I didn't! She was VERY helpful with everything and was more than happy to provide music samples and suggestions. AND, when I stepped out with my grandfather to walk down the aisle and saw her sitting with her beautiful harp and hearing the wonderful music...it was perfect! It was everything I could imagine. I have gone to some weddings since mine and the people playing the music have messed up a couple times; I am proud to say that Catherine's playing was flawless. She truly helped to added that uniqueness I was searching for with her beautiful playing; it was simply perfect!

When I was little girl we saw a harpist at our local mall and I told my mom, when I get married, I want a harp at my wedding. November 13th,2010 I got married and there was a harpist, Catherine Way. Catherine also arraged for a flutist as well. That day all of my dreams came true, the sound was just heavenly. Catherine was very professional and assured me that she would be sure that my ceremony would go smoothly , and she was spot on. She was able to watch the actions of my husband and I and the pastor and play music to fit those actions. As a surpirse to my guests we had irish dancers preform at the reception....as a prelude to the dancers Catherine played some celtic pieces to lead into what was about to happen at the reception all with out leading on to the big surprise. Catherine was professional, warm, and treated our wedding like it was important and that ment the world to me. Thanks Catherine!!

Catherine is nothing but exceptional! My husband and I decided we wanted our wedding to be an intimate cocktail party, very elegant. I contacted Catherine, told her our intentions and she also arranged for a violinst to play as well. She is extremely personable and easy to talk to. I can't say enough positive comments about Catherine Way. Her performance at our wedding was a surprise for my bride. Catherine stayed involved in the planning through email and phone calls. When I decided to add a trumpet to the ceremony, Catherine coordinated the additional musician (finding a musician, type of trumpet, contracts, everything). BACKGROUND: We turned a corner in the lobby at a bridal show to see Catherine performing. When she finished we struck up a conversation about our wedding plans. Ours was to be a smaller, family friendly sit down wedding. We wanted it to be what we termed as "classy" with live music playing a dominant role from the start of the ceremony through the dinner time. It would be very low key; the DJ wouldn't begin until later, transitioning in with Sinatra and the like. We structured a plan over time by email and phone to have Catherine perform solo from guest arrival until the reception start. At the time of bridal party announcement, Catherine would lead an ensemble including cellist and violin and play through the dinner. Working with Catherine was very easy from start to finish. Our music selection was mostly from her extensive suggestions list, but we also searched the web and asked her to perform one piece that I actively took a role in locating piano sheet music for! REVIEW: I'll "start" the review by writing that the day of the wedding was PERFECT in every way. Our guests loved the ambiance of the harp music, and even chuckled as the groomsmen were being photographed to the playing of the Godfather Theme (on harp!) It didn't go unnoticed by guests that Catherine was playing a set list of popular pieces that we loved. The arrangement of the music by Catherine were beautifully conceived and played. Catherine isn't just reading off someone's sheet music. She is a professional muscician, composer. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Catherine Way for any function. Catherine played beautifully at our wedding and was very supportive and accommodating when it came to organizing the music.
