We hired Hartworks for our wedding last year, and intentionally did not write a review for this vendor post wedding. As we look back on our photos, we feel it’s important to share ...
our experience given the many corners cut.
Several issues:
- Floral mock up: we paid extra to bring florals in our color palette to our mock up. She instead brought arrangements for someone else’s wedding, which were clearly not in our color palette. She took this arrangement back with her, and we saw the exact arrangement in someone else’s wedding. See photos.
- She then tried to tell us that was indeed our color palette, and re-did a virtual mock up. I never wanted it changed - I just wanted what we originally had! The resulted in multiple frustrating revisions.
- The quote she sent us was incorrect and had to be modified — when adding the candles, she accidentally added an extra $300 PER centerpiece. This had to be modified and was a bit of a sticker shock!
- On the day of the wedding, corners were cut — some of the arrangements had exposed stems and floral foam. See photos for comparison of what was promised vs what was delivered. Even our planner was “shocked” at what was delivered and made attempts using bridesmaids bouquets to make it look less barren. See other photos.
While we loved the personal bouquets and feel they were well done, given the issues above, we recommend you find an alternative florist for your wedding.

amazing mood board for us and a detailed proposal with example photos which we oved! Ericka was easy to work with, such great communication especially with our many changes to the proposal. Ericka and her team truly made our wedding beautiful, it was exactly what we had envisioned. Simple, classy, romantic, with a sprinkle of Christmas! We took some flower arrangements with us at the end of the night and took those flowers to the cemetery the next day. We wanted to share a piece of our wedding with our loved ones who are no longer with us. The flowers at the cemetery lasted an additional 10 days! Just shows the quality and care that Ericka and her team put into their work.

She even made me a special bouquet with ivy that I requested, along with a bouquet for a dedication instead of a toss - and she gave my brothers flower petals since they were our beer boys/flower boys. She also set aside some pretty flowers for my hair and for my maids of honor’s hair!

Also, Ericka runs this business like a PRO, when it came time for the venue needing proof of my vendors insurance policies my venue already had her information because she has worked with them before and she keeps all her business stuff on point so there was no questions.
Now let's talk about the Flowers themselves, they were absolutely Stunning. More than anything I could have ever dreamed of. Originally I had planned for an additional table or two and when we took away those tables Ericka and Jessie took those flowers that were meant for those tables and creatively placed them in other places. We were in a tent due to weather and it was so beautiful that you forget you are in a tent. The Flowers were so beautiful that my Mother-in-Law took the flowers at the end of the night and used them for our family day-after party to decorate her house and they were still so Beautiful. We also had 1 in-person meeting with her that was very productive and she showed us examples of flowers that she would use at the wedding. I was able to show her many pictures of floral designs that I thought were beautiful and she used those pictures as inspiration and created her own unique boho design that left me awestruck and speechless on my wedding day. I named all of the flowers I liked and put them in a pinterest board and said "I like the spectrum of coral to pink with green" "oh and I want poppies".
Ericka more than delivered. How she managed to pluck exactly what I wanted out of my head and put it in my hands I have no clue - but it's truly a gift. I could not be more thankful and the compliments I got on the flowers I felt like a total sham taking! It was all Hartworks magic.

about my (many) ideas, worries, preferences, etc. I was really blown away by their execution, they took my vision and made it even better than what I'd hoped for by creating a summery, unique look that was still classic and managed to blend in with both the Church and the very specific decor of the reception venue. It wasn't an easy task to make a Polynesian-style hotel's ballroom fit my classic vision (we chose for locale, not decor), but they pulled it off. The floral arrangements were just as gorgeous as I'd hoped, but different than anything I've ever seen.
