Harwood Farm in Woodbine, MD, is a stunning wedding venue that is standing tall and proud in its third century, having been erected sometime around 1840. It sits on 146 acres of historic land and provides the kind of views that remain with a person long after they have visited. The venue has been featured in The Equine Journal for their cover story titled "Your Chariot Awaits," and is a helpful guide to planning your dream wedding.

My son's future in-laws chose Harwood Farm for their wedding rehearsal dinner. We had never been there before but were pleasantly surprised by our warm welcome and the beauty of the surroundings. The tent was set up for 80 attendees and we ha...

Absolutely wonderful working with Deborah from Harwood Farm. Our daughter’s wedding was a dream come true, every detail was perfect. Lovely venue, fantastic experience, I wish we could do it all over again! Thank you Harwood Farm!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to warn others. My experience at this boarding facility was extremely stressful. The owner is very unpredictable and hard to deal with — one day everything seems fine, and the next she’s ...
yelling about something minor. The rules constantly change, and communication is nearly impossible. It’s a shame, because the property itself has potential, but the environment she creates makes it impossible to enjoy having your horse there. I ended up moving my horse out much earlier than planned. Proceed with caution.

Absolutely awful experience — steer clear!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This so-called “farm” tries to be both a wedding venue and a horse boarding facility, but fails miserably at both. The owner is completely unprofessiona...
l — one minute friendly, the next minute yelling about things that make no sense. It honestly felt like dealing with a crazy person.
At weddings, the place looks more like a rundown barnyard than a romantic venue. Lights didn’t work, horses were wandering near the guests, and the owner kept interrupting the event to “check” on things that didn’t need checking.
For boarding horses? Even worse. The stalls were dirty, fences falling apart, and water troughs looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. If you care at all about your horse’s wellbeing (or your sanity), do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place.
Save your time, money, and patience — there are plenty of other farms run by people who aren’t completely out of their minds.

This experience was HORRIBLE. My nephew got married here and the most important day of his life was completely ruined on this farm. Trust that I will never be back here again and I don't advise anyone else to come. The owner's incompetence is a...
bsolutely outrageous and I was struck with disrespect the whole night. She even holds GUNS in the building. Do you think this is safe? Because I sure don't. There were CHILDREN at this wedding.
I am completely and utterly disgusted with this experience.
