wedding day is a whirlwind and, honestly, 5 minutes after the ceremony I could not have told you what our wedding vows were because I was just trying to stay in the moment and repeat what the officiant was saying correctly! I knew then and there that I wanted (needed) to have Brett record our special day. I thought, if I'm getting this emotional over other couples' videos, I can only imagine how special ours would be to my fiancé and me. I immediately contacted Brett Hatfield and booked him for our wedding. And it was truly the best decision I ever made. Brett and his team were very easy to get along with (despite never even having met him face to face until our wedding day), and they were very professional. They made us all feel very comfortable and worked well with our photographer too (despite the fact that they had never met before either.) But most importantly of all (in our minds) is the quality of the video that this vendor produced for us. Of course we're partial to our own video and think it's the best, but there also hasn't been a video I've seen of theirs that I haven't liked. They do a wonderful job of creating this piece of art (as I like to call it) that will allow my family and me to look back on and cherish forever. Hatfield Productions will NOT let you down. (Not something I recommend postponing if you can help it.) Lord willing, Brett and his crew were available on our wedding day and after a day or two of questioning we made the deposit. Our video was unique, tailored to what my fiancé and I wanted, and better than we thought it could be.
If you’re on the fence about whether to have a videographer, trust me, you’ll regret not hiring one-especially one like Brett. Like photography, it is an investment. But this type of investment is one that allows you to relive your perfect day time and time again. It allows you to watch what was going on that day that you couldn’t see firsthand. I can now go back and watch segments of what my family and relatives were doing while waiting for the bridal party to arrive. I absolutely cannot say enough about Brett Hatfield and his team. My husband and I met with Brett only a few months out from the wedding. From the beginning, it was obvious he really wanted to get to know us and what kind of videography we were envisioning. Unlike some of the other videographers we met with, he tried to take our vision and enhance it rather than force his own vision on us.
On the wedding day, amidst all the craziness, it was so comforting to know we had Brett and his team there with us. He was so calm and collected. We never felt like he intruded or was in the way. In fact, we barely even felt his presence. But somehow, he managed to capture everything - and I mean, everything. And he captured in such a way that watching the final product back was like viewing a piece of art. The best word I can think to use is 'magical.' He is truly an artist.
As our friends and family watched the highlight video Brett posted online, they all commented on how amazing it was and how they wanted to get in touch with him to do their own wedding videos. And his response was just as awful - asking if he ever got back to me or not b/c he couldn't remember. Similar to other brides, it is important to have good vendors on your wedding day and Brett definitely doesn't deserve your business. Lesson learned...you really will get what you pay for! There are many videographers out there who will value you more and make you feel like your business matters to them. Don't waste your time!

Hello! I'm Brett Hatfield, the "new guy" back on the knot. I started filming weddings at 13, I've been hooked since. Outside of weddings you'd run into me at either the gym, or the local pizza shop. I'm a huge fan of that balance. I'm an educator in the video side of things and love helping rookies fuel their passion by growing and becoming better.
