When it rained on our wedding, Joe stayed flexible and helped us figure out the best plan without any stress. His dedication really showed in the final photos - they're timeless and beautifully unedited, exactly what we asked for. He went above and beyond the entire night. We got stunning pictures that we'll treasure forever, and Joe's work was worth every penny. We'd recommend him to any couple looking for a photographer who truly cares about capturing their day.

o be left waiting again. Lead photographer's photos went missing so we have zero family photos, bridal party photos, formal photos, etc. Basically, the important ones were "lost". Refund of 1500 should have come through today but not surprisingly that was lie as well. Everything went downhill after he offered us a $425 discount to pay in full in April. He is very unreliable and unprofessional and unfortunately, we cannot recommend Joe. We will have to take legal action to get our refund and try to retrieve as many photos as we can of our wedding day.

. See photos for the multiple photographers that have reached out to me. This company is a scam to make as much money as possible without caring who gets screwed. Joe is very quick to responding when it involves money, but after he gets the money he will ghost you for days sometimes weeks. Then claim “family emergency” or “vacation”. I wanted to cancel him a month prior to the wedding because he no showed on our only meeting. I was beyond frustrated with his unreliability and unprofessionalism that I made my husband do all the communicating. He promised us all along he indeed was reliable. Well he sure showed his true colors. He sub contracted our wedding to photographer Kate klymenko who owns her own studio. Kate initially seemed wonderful, we had a great day, I voiced my worries about Joes unreliability to her so she assured me she would save a back up with all my photos “just in case”. Just as I had anticipated when the two week mark hit to receive our photos we got nothing. When finally contacting Joe and Kate it was clear that Joe had begun working on our photos that morning (the day they were due). At first I was told Joe only got 30% of Kate’s photos. Kate reassured me she still had 80% of our photos from the day, but our before the wedding shots had disappeared. Obviously I was devastated not to have shots prior to the wedding with my mom, two daughters or bridal party but I held it together knowing that I would still be getting a lot of photos. We nagged and nagged multiple times a day and were finally told 4 days after the photos were due that every single picture Kate took was lost. She was the lead photographer. I don’t have a single family picture, no bridal party pictures, none with my children, and there were actually more pictures of DJ Jeff (who I love! From party pleasers) than myself, the bride. Sure I got tons of dance floor photos which are great, but having these sentimental formal portraits was so important to me. Something to pass down to my kids kids, memories to look back on. I trusted these photographers to document an extremely important day for me and my family and they failed me. I was never told how my photos just disappeared. And all three of the photographers have stopped communicating with me. I am still owed a video that he subbed out to a 16 year old but I’ve accepted the fact that this is gone. We paid $4,000 for this package and what do they offer back- $1500 and they will recreate the photos if I put my dress back on. Seriously. I’m sure at some point Joe was reliable and great. But look for yourself at his 2026 reviews, they all say the same. Please please save yourself the heartbreak and do not use this photographer. If I can do anything after this it’s to not let this happen to another couple. No one deserves to have memories of one of their most important days lost and brushed off as if it were nothing. It’s unprofessional and just cruel. Shame on you Joe. Do better. 

were contracted two days before the wedding. Afterward, our initial gallery was missing several important photos, and we have continued following up to receive the complete gallery, but have not gotten a response.  We hired Hatton Wedding Photography for our June 2026 wedding based on the portfolio and reviews we found online. Before the wedding, we noticed a difference in communication depending on the topic. Joe was consistently responsive regarding invoices and payment, including encouraging us to pay our balance early and offering early payment discounts, explaining it would be "one less thing on your to-do list." Questions and requests unrelated to payment often took longer to receive a response and sometimes required follow-up.  The evening before our wedding, while we were at our rehearsal dinner, we received a message at approximately 7:00 p.m. stating that Joe would not be photographing our wedding due to a family emergency. We understand that emergencies happen, and we sincerely hope everything was okay. Our concern was not that an emergency occurred, but with how the situation was handled afterward.  Joe informed us that another lead photographer would photograph the wedding in his place. After the wedding, we learned that the photographers who covered our wedding were not members of Hatton Wedding Photography. They owned their own photography businesses and had been contacted by Joe two days before the wedding. Our contract states that Hatton Wedding Photography has "a team of reliable and high-quality photographers" who may be assigned to weddings.  The photographers who covered our wedding arrived as scheduled and photographed the event professionally.  The final gallery was delivered within the timeframe outlined in our contract. Before receiving it, we were told we would receive the gallery early, then that there were technical issues, and later that it had already been sent and may have gone to spam. We received access after additional communication. When reviewing the gallery, we found several expected photos were missing, including:  * Large extended family portraits from both sides of the family * Photos of the bride walking down the aisle with her father  * A photo of the bride and groom with the maid of honor * Multiple wedding party groupings  We contacted Joe regarding the missing photos. He said he would check with the photographers and provided dates for updates, but those dates passed without communication. We continued reaching out for additional updates. Since then, we have continued requesting the missing photos. Joe has stated that some emails requesting these photos went to his spam folder, and we have continued following up regarding receiving the complete gallery.  Throughout the process, we have initiated multiple follow-ups regarding missing photos and status updates. Our experience included a last-minute photographer replacement, communication that often required follow-up, and an initial gallery that did not include several expected photos.

weeks between replies but did reply quickly when money was involved. In one message in The Knot I provided my phone number so we could talk more or I could get a reply faster. Immediately that night, I didn't get a verbal reply I got a payment request from cash app THEN a text later. After texting I did use Apple Pay because it's safer, and I wanted to lock in our date for engagement photos. They say reach out any time but they do not communicate effectively. I became concerned and wanted to cancel, to save money and to not deal with the uncertainty. Was told I wouldn't receive a refund of my deposit but they never mentioned a cancellation policy/non-refund when they asked for the deposit and nothing is listed on any of their profiles or main website. So we kept the session date, communication was again 1-2 weeks in between replies. First they're sick, then they're traveling, then they're ready to work but still no contract was sent my way and no desire to give concrete details of the photo session. I've been patient but patience only lasts so long. My fiance and I do not recommend using them for photos, from our experience it seems more like a scam to take money as deposits for the date and then bad communication.
