We booked a European River Cruise through Charmaine at Haute Global Travel. Charmaine encouraged us to take insurance and we followed her advice. Unfortunately, several serious medical issues during and after the pandemic, precluded us from taking this trip. The cruise line’s staff did not give us the correct information with respect to our options when the trip had to be cancelled. Charmaine was very sympathetic with our situation and worked her connections tirelessly, including pushing the matter to more senior levels to get us a full monetary refund. Facing the possibility of losing a significant amount of money, while dealing with a family health crisis was very stressful. However, Charmaine kept us informed of all of her efforts on our behalf, which allowed us to just focus on our family’s health issue. We are so thankful we had Charmaine on our side. We have had friends who worked through other travel agencies or directly with the cruise lines and they lost lots of money due to these unfortunate health events and cancellations. Their agents just shrugged their shoulders and said there is nothing they can do. As they say, “s*** happens”, especially in modern day travel. Three months before our honeymoon our first destination choice was still shut down due to Covid. We were stressed and scared that we would lose money and lose out on our honeymoon. I managed to get my new husband and I in a jam by taking the wrong Covid required tests to board our flight. One key thing we are all looking for in a travel agent is knowledge and expertise. My wife and I have used Charmaine George from Haute Global Travel for multiple trips now and she has far surpassed other travel agents we had used previously on this front. She knows the locations, she knows the resorts, and she knows the rooms at the resorts. In fact, on our most recent trip she was able to provide luxury recommendations that ultimately saved us a lot of money (she alerted us that Hawaii at Christmas time would be far more expensive than the perfect vacation we ended up experiencing in St Lucia). But more importantly in a travel agent we want somebody who doesn't stop at simply booking the trip and making sure we know the travel itinerary. And that is definitely the case with Charmaine. She books the trips, she follows up to ensure we are fully up to speed on activities available, and she makes sure all possible questions are answered, and she follows through to make sure the trip is going as planned during the trip. On our most recent trip, the Airline had an issue with the plane so had to cancel the flight. Charmaine was on the phone with us immediately (extremely early in the morning), helping to educate us on all of our options and helping to get us rebooked and our vacation back on track, and then after the fact making sure we received proper reimbursement from the airline. We attended a wedding that Charmaine had arranged for friends in Cabo san Lucas in September. I can't begin to RAVE enough about the time Charmaine spent on our accommodations, the overall setup of our friend's wedding! The appeal of a destination wedding was to take away the stress of planning a traditional large wedding at a local venue. Charmaine from Haute Global Travel helped us book our Bora Bora honeymoon. She is absolutely phenomenal in getting us what we wanted and sticking to a budget was very knowledgeable about our destination - she made it so easy for us and she is so responsive! Everything was planned out perfectly - the flights, transfers and hotel. Unfortunately we had a rocky start going to our honeymoon when they closed our airport due to weather for a few hours causing us to miss our two connecting flights to our honeymoon and delaying our arrival by one day. She was on the phone with us at all hours of the night making sure we were okay and we got to the hotel while we waited for a new flight to be issued by the airline. She called our hotel in Bora Bora to let them know what happened. It was unfortunate but she took care of us and was in contact with us the whole step of the way when we had no idea what to do! She was so understanding and was able to get the hotel to move the day we missed to the end of the honeymoon so we didn't miss out and she did her magic to rebook our flights back. Our trip to Bora Bora was what we hoped for and more - it was such a dream! We used Haute Global Travel to book our honeymoon to St. Lucia. Charmaine was the most incredible person to work with. Prior to our honeymoon, I hadn't done much traveling, so I didn't really know where to go, what to do there, where to stay, etc. Charmaine made the whole process seamless. She started out by asking us what we wanted out of a honeymoon and what type of travelers we are. You could tell she really wanted to tailor our trip to us as a couple. From there, we didn't really have to do much outside of answering a few questions/choosing from some options; Charmaine took care of all the details! Transfers, hotel details, excursions, etc. were all booked and taken care of! And with all the other wedding planning details, it was a huge help not to have to worry about that. She was also very mindful of our budget, so when booking those details, we didn't have to worry about how much this was all going to cost and going over budget. The night before we left, she even emailed us a last minute guide with everything we needed to know. Most importantly, the trip was AMAZING! It was more than we could have asked for in a honeymoon. Charmaine exceeded all expectations and really set the bar high for all of our future vacations. She is friendly, extremely responsive and very detail-oriented. I have already recommended her to several of our friends and coworkers and plan to use her again in the future!

Charmaine was amazing!! She gave us the most unbelievable guidance and assistance in coordinating our honeymoon to St. Lucia. I met Charmaine at a bridal fair and I am so happy that I did! I contacted her when I was ready to start planning my honeymoon and she was so helpful in many ways. I gave her an idea of the types of things we wanted to do and she was able to give us suggestions of where to travel. It was very helpful that she has traveled to many of the destinations so she was able to give her personal opinion. Neither myself nor my now husband had traveled out of the country before, so we didn't have a lot of knowledge when it came to the actual travel portion of the trip. She made us feel comfortable and be aware of the types of things to expect when entering another country and also returning back home. I felt like I asked too many questions and sent her too many emails, but she always responded timely and happily. I would definitely recommend using a travel agent to book any kind of trip, especially for your honeymoon because there are too many other things to worry about while planning a wedding. I have been working with Charmaine for quite some many years. I researched travel agents for my previous destination wedding for months before I picked her.
