Juliette helped me plan this wedding for 2 years and was extremely patient and kind. She answered all of my questions quickly and made sure our day was smooth.
The venue is a perfect change up from a boring ballroom. The tiki hut is fun and vibrant, which helps save money on decor too. Juliette kindly let me utilize shells and lanterns from the venue for my centerpieces.
The food was delicious! The rum punch welcome drink was amazing. The key lime tarts were the best version of key lime we had in key west.
I can’t recommend this venue enough.

I highly recommend not dealing with this location for a wedding. They do not communicate when you are planning (I was told not to book a number of rooms because their rooms would s...
ell out and the n did not inform us when more than half of the hotel was under construction, causing more than half of my guests to stay at another location) the coordinators sell themselves as day of coordinators and are no where to be seen nor did they approach either me or my husband day of, when I was told one would stop by our room. I brought that up the next day and was told “we’re venue coordinators not day of we’ve had that complaint before” the manager was rude and told the bartenders to “have fun with them” when the bridal party came to the bar. We were told that the guys could get ready in the cigar bar when we booked and on the day of they said “it was never agreed upon but they can take pictures.” I was promised the tables would be ready to go by 10am so my help could decorate and my mother in law was told “the event isn’t until 12:30 it’ll be ready by then” my mother in law replied with “but we have to get ready” and was met with more attitude. When I asked where the coordinators were they had “just left” at four separate occasions. This resort was great when it came to the bartenders (dean and Valentina took great care of us all weekend!) and Nick the pool guy! That was their saving grace. Food was phenomenal, vibes and other staff great, and the day turned out perfect and we made the most of everything but the planning and execution was made a nightmare. The extra stars are for Food, vibes and daily staff.

We had such a great time at Havana Cabana that our guests are asking us to get married every year! We had a very fast engagement, getting engaged in December and married in April. ...
However, Juliette, the Area Conference Services Manager, made coordinating an absolute breeze and it did not feel rushed or stressful whatsoever. Everything was exactly as discussed and better than we expected! Everyone agreed it was the best wedding they had ever been to, largely because we all loved the food, vibes, and fun of Havana Cabana. We had 25 guests at our wedding, most of whom stayed at the resort with us - It was so fun to have a day at the pool on Friday before the big day on Saturday! The food & drink at the reception and at the hotel food truck throughout our stay was amazing. Could not recommend having your celebration at Havana Cabana enough!

l the weekend of our wedding. That said, working with Sophia, the venue coordinator, was the best and easiest part of the whole wedding! She answered every email, no matter the tiny question and did multiple phone calls and FaceTimes to help us bring our dream to life. When we arrived, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and made us feel very special.
We also hosted a welcome party in the new bar, Flama Cabana, which was a delight! It was so colorful and the drinks were delicious. Then we hosted our ceremony on Smathers Beach and the reception back at the hotel. The team really transformed the space! Our guests raved about the pool, the drinks, and the general vibe of the weekend. Havana Cabana is the perfect place to get married in Key West if you want to throw one hell of a party and Sophia will make sure everything goes smoothly. We can’t recommend it enough! You will not regret having a wedding here.

hospitality continued throughout our whole stay. We loved everything inside the hotel from the pool, to the food, to the bar, and the views outside our room! When we weren't exploring Key West, we enjoyed getting a frozen drink and hanging out in the pool! Havana Cabana is conveniently located not far from Duval Street and there is often a shuttle running that will bring you down there as well! When we return to Key West, we will definitely look to stay here again!
