blended music, 2 songs "mashed-up" if you will...it was exactly what I hoped for! The music that played the entire day was perfect. Never too loud (HUGE pet peeve!) and always the right blend of songs for the moment. Thank you for providing the soundtrack for a beautiful day!

That was absolutely not the case with HAVE MUSIC WILL TRAVEL. When we hired these guys, right away we knew our wedding was in good hands. All emails were answered promptly, no details were missed and the music selection was incredible. They even made sure if we found something they didn't have to let them know and they got it. The music selection for the ceremony was appropriate and timed perfectly. They were able to accommodate the ceremony and reception in different rooms without the hustle and bustle of moving equipment during our guest's cocktail hour because they are professionals with enough of the right equipment. During the reception Mike was the perfect MC. Everything moved fluently so we had the maximum time to party. We wanted everyone from the oldest to the youngest out dancing and enjoying themselves. Mike and Mark were always available for requests, you never had to track them down. We gave the guys the freedom to pick the majority of our songs and they hit it out of the park. My wife and I still to this day have people tell us how much fun they had that night. It would not have been nearly as enjoyable without Have Music Will Travel. I will always suggest them to family and friends for not just weddings. They will take a major weight off your shoulders and allow you, your spouse, and your family/friends to concentrate on what is really necessary, each other's company.

After looking over Mike's website, my intuition told me I feel like this is a person who is professional and whom I can trust. My audiophile husband was excited to see that they mentioned their fine quality sound system (don't you hate when you can't hear a ceremony or the volume is too loud?) and the price told him he was getting quality service, but not overpaying. We were incredibly happy with our choice. We had a Skype chat with Mike to meet him and I felt instantly he was someone we could trust to do a great job and it turned out this was true. He had a lot on his shoulders the day of our wedding...it ended up pouring down rain minutes before the outdoor ceremony (and with his equipment in jeopardy) and his team worked extremely quickly to get everything set up in our back-up indoor location to proceed along. I also did not have a wedding planner or really any designated person to control the time-flow of events. Mike took all this on, even slowing down my caterer who was rushing things along too quickly which I appreciated. I wanted the wedding to feel laid-back and he was able to be very flexible and I was able to enjoy myself and not worry about what was coming next. We also had a diverse collection of music (including a Chilean folk song) and Mike either had or got everything on our list and anything he added was just in our taste. Music is so important to me and my husband and we knew investing in a quality DJ was critical to our wedding. He had a very fair price and of all the vendors we hired, I felt best about this investment. Music is incredibly powerful and saves a party when all else fails. Have Music Will Travel is definitely a great choice for your event.

e to work out all of my requests perfectly. He made me feel so comfortable leading up to the wedding and I knew I had nothing to worry about. Everything was perfect for the ceremony. The music worked out exactly as we had imagined. The reception music could not have been any better! There was a perfect mix of music for everyone and for all age ranges. I don't know that I've ever seen such a packed dance floor at a wedding! The guys were so nice and happily took requests from guests and kept everyone dancing and having fun. I barely left the dance floor all night! Multiple people told me the next day that they were sore from all the dancing that went on thanks to some amazing music! I cannot tell you how happy my husband and I are with Have Music Will Travel. We would recommend them to anyone! Thanks guys! You helped make it the best night ever!

My husband and I had nontraditional choices for our entrances, first dance and cake cutting and Mike was more than willing to accommodate our requests. Our cocktail hour had the perfect music and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Everyone complemented on what a great party our reception was - and I know Mike and Have Music played a big part in that! Thanks, Mike! You rock!

He was really amazing about playing a ton of our must-plays and none of our do not plays, which was something we had been stressing over. He kept the dance party going strong. We had a ton of people ask for a playlist of the night afterwards and comment on how amazing the music was.

Also I cannot say enough about how quickly he responded to my emails and phone calls. I would recommend them to any bride it was nice to have one less worry having them take care of things for me.

He capped off the night with Apple Bottom Jeans which was hilarious and amazing.

) took the lead on, so I hadn't spoken with Mike (dj) much in the months leading up to our wedding. However, the emails that I did read made me very comfortable that this guy was on top of things and was an excellent choice. We had originally wanted a band, but since it was so expensive, we opted for a dj. I can't say how happy we both are that we went this route and worked with HMWT. From the minute the communications started, Mike was extremely responsive, open to any questions, volunteered to meet in person or do a conference call, in addition to being very clear on what he needed from us. About 2 months before the wedding, I got a little nervous that I hadn't met Mike in person and...what if he was cheesy or the music was bad and it ruined all of our hard work???? Okay, I admit, this was most likely just pre-wedding jitters in addition to the fact that this was one of the things I hadn't completely micromanaged :) We set up a time to meet Mike in person at a coffee shop to get comfortable with everything beforehand. Mike was EXACTLY who we knew would help make this wedding a success. He was laid back, personable, open, has great taste in music, and he was full of good suggestions. He even swayed us against picking our last song, but not in an overbearing way - just in a way that showed how much experience he has and how much he cared that our day was a success. Ultimately, he was spot on with everything - in fact, had he not helped us bag that last song idea, I would be kicking myself now - it would have tanked, for sure. Long story short, Colin and I left that meeting and looked at each other, smiled, and started talking over each other about how excited we were about this guy! The day of the wedding, Mike and Mark (another HMWT dj) couldn't have been more professional, helpful, or just all around amazing. They set up the cocktail hour space with extra speakers, never left the music unmanned, and kept the dance floor full the entire night. Colin and I just wanted a big party where everyone danced all night - we definitely got this with the help of HMWT. It is very clear that Mike is experienced, cares about what he does, and has fun doing it. Neither Colin nor I have a single bad thing we could say about HMWT. They are professional, affordable, and fun. Most of all, they will ensure you get the party you want, no matter what feel you're going for. I would recommend these guys to anyone planning to use a dj!

for the most part they always seemed to play cheesy outdated music. Within 5 minutes of talking to Mike the first time i knew we had the right guy. He completely understood our taste in music and was fully cooperative to make sure the specific songs we wanted were played. I didn't even need to bother making a do not play list. he understood our taste completely and got the song selection perfect. Plenty of contemporary music for our younger guests and a good mix of old classics that everyone loves. I really couldn't be happier with our selection. On top of getting the music selection right, Mike is a true professional. He never interrupted us during the evening and just let us have our fun. He coordinated well with our videographer and photographers with no trouble. The icing on top of the cake was how happy my parents were with the level of service. It really made my day to know mike had made a point to greet them and make sure they were satisfied with everything. I would highly recommend Have Music Will Travel to anyone. They were a joy to work with!!

He was 100% respectful of our "do not play list" and didn't try to jazz up the crowd with talking (which I very much appreciated)...he just let the music do the work! Every request was met, nothing was a problem, and when it came time for the main event, all things went as planned. It was interesting to me to see how Mike and his team had to interact with the other vendors and the venue coordinators to make things run smooth. And they did just that. Small adjustments had to be made during the reception and Mike would first confirm with us and then do what needed to be done. We would recommend to HMWT to anyone without any hesitation whatsoever. n the dance floor and that is exactly what Mike did!!!! He was the most professional DJ I came across after talking to a few he was the easiest and most professional by far. The equipment he uses is top of the linse and doesnt look like your at a concert, unlike som DJ's. We also decided to use his lighting for the dance floor which played a huge part while dancing. We will use Mike for any family events that we ever have and will recommend him to anyone we come across. Thanks for making our night one to remember!!!!! Brandon & Rosana

eeting first to book them, Mike and Mark told us to give them a list of songs we wanted played, and if they didn't have it, they'd find it, so I know they worked hard before and during our reception. I didn't hear anyone say their request couldn't be played. The music was of a wide variety and had everyone on the floor dancing. The music for our entrance, dancing with our parents, and cake cutting was perfectly on cue with seamless transitions from the songs being played before and after. I'd recommend them especially for weddings, but they'd be great for any occasion.

Not only did he listen to and honor all of our requests, but he definitely made our wedding AMAZING! He coordinated the music for our ceremony, and everything was timed and played perfectly. Everything that Mike said and played was so tasteful, so fun, and just altogether perfect for our celebration. He even was able to find some music from the 1920s (which we really wanted played during the reception), and he definitely went the extra mile to bring in such an obscure request. I'm so glad we found Have Music Will Travel! They made our wedding a truly memorable experience for everyone in attendance! The music was one of the things I was most worried about when I first began planning, but after I found Mike, I knew that our wedding was in great hands. I went to check him out at a wedding he had in the area, and when I saw his professional equipment, heard how good everything sounded, and that people were all over the dance floor, I felt really good about having him DJ my wedding. My favorite thing was the great communication: when I had questions a few weeks out, they were answered promptly; I asked for suggestions for what my bridesmaids should walk down the aisle to, and the first song Mike suggested was absolutely perfect and is what we ended up choosing. That was a huge relief to me! At the wedding itself, he did a great job playing our ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and dinner music. He went over all the bridayl party member's names and how to pronouce them correctly. The announcements he made were all professional and clear. The dance floor was packed all night! The only issue that I was disappointed in was that several songs on my "must play" list were not played, but I'm sure it was just a miscommunication between the two of us on the day of the wedding. Nothing on my "Do Not Play" list was played without me giving explicit permission (after my mom begged me to have him play a song I had banned!) I had also somehow messed up the times for the reception, I thought I had my venue from 7-11, but it was actually until 11:30. Mike told me he was willing to stay as late as I wanted him, and that we could decide as the night went on. At 10:45 I told him to keep the party going, and he worked out a reasonable payment with my dad to stay for the extra time. Overall I am incredibly pleased with Have Music, Will Travel, and I would feel very comfortable giving my friends and family a recommendation to use him for weddings or other events.

knew he'd be great. As a professional photographer who's photographed MANY weddings, I've seen some really cringe-worthy DJs at receptions. I knew for certain that I wanted someone who wouldn't showboat or talk to much (it's my wedding, not a night club), someone who was punctual and professional, and a DJ that was able to read a crowd and keep the party going. Mike and his assistant took all the worry out of the music element of our wedding and made everything flow seamlessly. He checked in with me a few times to make sure I was happy with everything and was even able to find an obscure Irish song for my Dad and I to dance to! Best of all, he was in our budget! I would definitely recommend him to another bride to be!

Somehow Mike found a way to get everyone up and dancing (from my 2 year old niece to my 85 year old grandpa). After my initial e mail contact I just knew Mike was the DJ for us, the fact that we seemed to share the same taste in music was an added bonus. Mike was always prompt and helpful in all our correspondance and when the big day arrived Mike was amazing. The music was perfect, Mike was courteous and accomodating to all the guests and the eclectic variety of musical requests! Every song I requested was played and he also diligently yet politely refused to play any song on my no play list! I could not recomend Mike more highly for your special day.

He played a great range of music that appealed to our broad age range of guests. Even with the lights out, our guests remained on the dance floor the whole night thanks to Mike. He even managed to do a mash-up for my father/daughter dance that turned out great! I would highly recommend this group to anyone. They really know what they are doing, and they always plan for worst case scenarios even if you don't.

e. He was one of the first DJ's contacted and he had my attention from the very start. He was super friendly and very accommodating. I am a full time student and my schedule was super crowded so I had to discuss everything with him through e-mail. He answered all of the questions that we had plus more, and this was all before the wedding. At the actual event they were already set up and playing the exact music that we discussed for cocktail hour. He came in introduced himself and made sure he was pronouncing the entire wedding parties names correctly! He played all the music we requested and kept up with the different generations that attended the wedding. Even my 90 year old Great Aunt was up dancing. He also kept the night going, keeping us on track with special dances and the cake cutting. I would recommend Have Music Will Travel to anyone and everyone! Fantastic job!! =)

They also worked seamlessly between creating themed outside music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and dinner and dance music inside. They were flexible and knew how to work well with our live ceremony musicians - who also raved about them. They have a huge database and yet when we asked for some vintage music from the 30's they did extra research to make sure they had just what we wanted. They are also really well priced. They were easy going, arrived early and set the tone for our whole wedding. We really felt taken care of by them. We would reccomend them to anyone- in fact we leave in 12 hours for our honeymoon but I had to take the time to leave this review as they deserve major kudos. N & S Quinn

e blend of old and new music. We had a large range of ages at the reception with many different music tastes. Mike did a great job reading the crowd and playing music to please the masses!
