The team at HSV was incredible! If you are wanting to book a DJ for your wedding on the Big Island I would 100% tell you to work with HSV! I worked with Jessica over email for intake and booking and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. She was very clear on what to do and steps leading up to the event. Now let me tell you about Glenn. Glenn was incredible both for our ceremony and reception but let me tell you Glenn really shined at our reception! I wrote a message to Jessica describing me and my husband’s musical tastes and Glenn went above and beyond our expectations with what he delivered! Glenn made the party! He picked the best songs and had everyone dancing all night long–none of our guests left until the very end of the reception! Thank you both to Glenn and Jessica for making our big day so fun and perfect!

HSV was one of our favorite vendors during our big day! They were also so great at keeping in touch before our big day and making sure everything was in place that we needed. We had Charles George play guitar during the ceremony and I was brought to tears walking down the aisle hearing one of our favorite songs. During the reception our DJ did an amazing job at playing our special dance songs, taking requests, and reading the crowd as the night went on. Wouldn't have changed a thing!

I cannot say enough great things about HSAV! Our DJ read our crowd so wonderfully! The dance party (which I was a little concerned wouldn't happen) was evidence of his ability to play songs that would be well received and fun. Highly recommended!

Glenn was the DJ and MC at our recent wedding ceremony and reception and he did an amazing job! We were planning a destination wedding and Glenn was so responsive to our email and phone communication. He had us fill out some forms, so he had an idea on the type of music we liked and the special songs we wanted. We had very complex first dance songs and father/daughter songs, which Glenn had to re-master since they were a compilation of several different songs. Glenn went above and beyond in making those songs perfect and exactly how we wanted them. When we finally got to hawaii for our wedding, Glenn met with us beforehand and made sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names, had a good idea of the timeline, and just so he could see us as a couple. At our wedding, he gave people instruction on where to go, did the exact right amount of talking (didn't overdo or underdo it), played wonderful mixes, and kept the whole show going. He also got the party started and made our whole site beautiful. He had uplighting that matched our colors, a monogram that had our initials with our colors, and his entire DJ stand was lit up in hot pink, which was our wedding color. He made sure everyone stayed on the dance floor, took requests, and seamlessly orchestrated the speeches. He was so personable and my guests could not stop raving about him. I did a ton of research before choosing him and he was such a great value! Choosing him as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding. Despite unplanned delays and flooding at our wedding, Glenn was very flexible and made sure we got in everything we wanted to do. He was a true pleasure to work with and became like family to us after our big day. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Glenn. I would highly recommend him to anyone for their special day!!

Hawaii Sound and Vision supplied the dance floor and DJ for our wedding. The DJ did a decent job of reading the crowd, and responding to requests so everyone had fun dancing throughout the night. The volume and sound quality was good. However, he messed up the special dances: we gave specific instructions to fade out our first dance song at a certain time point (we had choreographed a dance up til that point). He failed to do so. Then, he was supposed to play the father-daughter dance song - instead, the song we had walked back down the aisle to came on! After a few moments of confusion and trying to convey through frowns that this was not what we asked for we danced to it for a bit then got off the dance floor and waited - finally the father daughter dance came on. Again, I had requested it to be faded out after a certain amount of time and transition to another specific song, to get everyone dancing - instead he played the entire song which was extremely awkward and I’m sure boring for the guests! At least the right song came on after that! The dance floor also came apart during the evening. I am not sure if this is normal or not, everyone was dancing rather enthusiastically… seems like it was a bit of a tripping hazard though. Overall everyone did dance a lot and it was a great night, but I was honestly pretty disappointed considering the price we paid.

We submitted the type of music we like about 2 days before the wedding. The music was so amazing. He only played great songs that had everyone dancing the whole night! He was also great in that he took requests and played the songs right as they were being requested.

We loved our experience with Hawaii Sound and Vision! We chose them because they DJ'ed the New Years Luau at the Orchid the year before when we were vacationing and we loved his mix. At our wedding, the crowd kept dancing until the last moment! We loved every song he played and enjoyed having him emcee our reception. Hawaii SAV also provided sound for our ceremony, which is definitely necessary with the waves crashing in the background. All songs were played correctly, on time, and exactly how we wanted them! We highly recommend this company - super professional, fun, and exactly what we wanted!

We had music for both our ceremony and our reception with both American and Japanese music. They had everything. Our DJ and MC through everything was Glenn. He definitely hit everything on cue as well it should be. Glenn made sure we were prepared, too, by giving outlines we could use to plan our ceremony and reception. Definitely responsive to all our email requests. He also had many song lists which still didn't cover a tenth of what he probably has on file. We also got a TV/DVD player through Hawaii Sound & Vision to which we could play all our videos and in the end, a surprise video for us. Glenn was very responsive to our requests during the reception and a very gracious MC. We had such a wonderful time.

The DJ was pretty good. He played pretty good music for dancing but during cocktails the music was to jazz like. Also, I wasnt really happy about the way the music was cued. Right after we got married we wanted a particular song to be played and it took him forever to get the song going!!

We danced all night. The DJ was great he knew how to introduce all the events through out the wedding. He had every song you could think of and he followed our play list. Overall a great DJ and great sound.
