Hawaiian Wedding Officiant Angela Keen

I was very nervous planning a destination wedding. Angela put me at ease right away with her warmth and welcoming spirit. Since my groom is from Hawaii, we had Angela perform a Hawaiian blessing. First she blew a conch shell 4 times. Then we pinched Hawaiian salt into a wooden bowl of water, representing the mixing of our families. She used a Ti leaf to sprinkle that water on us and our wedding bands. It made our ceremony so meaningful and special. We also utilized her husband as our photographer. You'd be in good hands with this team!

Angela Keen was an AMAZING officiant to have at our wedding. I first heard about Angela through her Facebook and decided to get in contact with her right away. She responded back promptly and she met with my husband and I to talk about the wedding. Throughout the wedding planning process, Angela responded promptly and kept in contact with us via email. She arrived on time for our wedding rehearsal and led us through how the wedding ceremony would go. On the day of, she arrived on time and did a wonderful job with performing our wedding. She even made the marriage license process very easy for us! Angela is very professional, understanding, and an absolute joy to work with! I HIGHLY recommend her to all of my family and friends!

Angela performed a perfect wedding ceremony for us at the Hale Koa Luau Gardens, on Saturday 8 October 2016. We couldn’t have asked for anything better! When we first met Angela, she built a strong rapport with Casey and I… she wanted to get know us; our life, our work, our family, our story, how we met…. and from all that information, she expertly weaved everything into the ceremony, making it very personal for all of us. It was like having a very close friend perform this sacred and meaningful ceremony on this special day. Angela was very responsive to our requests, listening and helping us develop a beautiful wedding ceremony outline. We didn’t have the traditional grooms and bridesmaids, instead we had our children and Casey’s niece as our wedding party. Angela suggested we perform the Hawaiian Blessing that involved our children, which was so appropriate for our situation and for our family. This blessing involved taking a bowl with blessed water, which was held by Dennis (the handsome Groom) and bowl of salt which was held by Casey (the beautiful and gorgeous Bride). During the blessing ceremony, our children Kyle, David, Luke, Ha’o, Kawai, Keahi, and Mellissa each took a pinch of the salt and sprinkled the salt into the water. This is essentially a blended family becoming one! All of this wouldn’t have been possible, if not for Angela’s attention to detail, her warm interpersonal skills and her ability to tailor our wedding ceremony into something perfect and unforgettable! Angela Keen was the first step we took in planning our Oahu wedding. My husband and I live in Los Angeles, but he knew that he wanted her (a friend of his from back in Honolulu) to be our officiant. She gave us so many resources to look into. On our big day, Angela's ceremony was beautiful! She captured the spirit of the islands, the spirit of who we were and combined it with her own beautiful energy. My only regret is we didn't have more time with her that evening to thank her. Thank you, Angela! You were with us from our engagement to our wedding and we were very blessed to have you!
