Haystack Hearth is an outstanding venue and beautiful location for a rustic, outside wedding. My daughter and son in law were just married there on November 9th. The entire staff was fantastic to work with – all very accommodating and responsive – Julia (overall contact and coordinator), Scott (bar details), Renee (on-site coordinator event day/night), Kelly (our bartender), and Mike (helpful with rehearsal and clubhouse). The outside ceremony at twilight was beautiful with Haystack Mountain in the background with leaves falling from the many trees. For the reception, our DJ was setup on an outside stage and dancing was on the patio, which was lit up with twinkle lights. This area turned out to be a great spot for pictures as well. A buffet was set up inside and guests could sit or stand at tables both inside and outside. We were lucky with the weather - 70 degrees at ceremony time and never got below 60 degrees after the sun went down during the reception. The bride and groom rooms were nice and turned out to be great to have – and refreshments were set out in both private spaces. Coordination and cooperation between the venue staff and other vendors – photography, caterer, and DJ was fantastic. Overall, it was a great decision for us to go with Haystack Hearth - it could not have gone any better and we couldn’t be happier!
Haystack Hearth was the perfect setting for our wedding. The grounds were beautiful, the owners were very accommodating and our guests had a wonderful time.
We had a live band which made the night extra special for me and my wife because music is very important to us and our friends and families.
I would highly recommend this venue to other people!
Haystack Hearth was the perfect venue for our dream wedding. The grounds were absolutely stunning in May 2019 with purple lilacs and vibrant green grass outside while the house provides a beautiful rustic atmosphere inside.
Julia was wonderful and made all our wishes come true. They allowed us to have a live band which was one of the key reasons we chose this venue. All of our guests raved about how much fun they had and how it was the perfect quintessential Colorado setting! I would recommend Haystack Hearth to any couple!
We got married at Haystack Hearth back in September and it was everything we wanted our venue to be. The grounds themselves are gorgeous - you could tell that a lot of love goes into maintaining all the flowers and plants, as well as the old-but-beautiful farmhouse. The Haystack staff was great to work with as well - Julia especially was always there to answer any questions we had leading up to the big day and she ensured that we had everything we needed. In the days after, many of my guests made a point to tell me how pretty Haystack was and how much fun they had there. All in all it was a great place to get married and we wouldn't change a thing.
Haystack Hearth is a beautiful venue. The location is excellent--with mountains in the background, Haystack Hearth is on a flat lawn perfect for our ceremony and some lawn games during the reception. The trees on the property provide dappled shade and additional photo opportunities. I loved the brick-paved courtyard complete with flower beds, a fountain, and charming strung lights. The weather cooperated beautifully for us to hold our entire ceremony and reception outdoors. We could have moved the party into the gorgeous stone hearth room if necessary--the fireplace was certainly tempting!
Everyone at Haystack Hearth was great! Working with them from out-of-state, they were very accommodating and helped us out with understanding our options, caterer recommendations, and walkthroughs. They even planted flowers early for us (we booked at the end of the winter season) and everything looked amazing! Other personal touches like the fruit and snack trays in the dressing rooms were well-received.
Our wedding was small, only forty guests. This was the perfect size for us. It gave us plenty of space for everyone to mingle, walk the grounds and have privacy if necessary without being too big. I'm sure if our group had been twice the size the venue still would have felt comfortable.
I am so glad we chose Haystack Hearth. A lot needs to come together just right for a day to be perfect. This venue was part of a perfect day for me.
Haystack is the definition of a hidden gem. It's not in Boulder or Denver proper, or nestled in the Rockies, and it doesn't have a resort-like polish to it. Its virtues are not even apparent from the parking lot outside its front doors. But once you step into the backyard, you enter a special place. It's an area that feels spacious, but also has little nooks and sub-areas scattered about that make it feel ample and intimate at the same time. Every photo from our wedding taken during the day was filled with green and photos taken at night were filled with the twinkle of the garden lights casting a warm hue on the brick-laden house and courtyard. We chose to forgo a rented dance floor (and a tent) in favor of the courtyard, which lies between the house and a large fountain. This offered a vibe unlike any I've experienced at other weddings--it was a true garden party and we loved it. Although we didn't use it much, the Hearth room offered a beautiful indoor space where guests could retreat from the party and sit by the fire. One bonus was the golf course adjacent to the venue, which was great both for golfing guests and for some gorgeous bride-groom photo ops. Another was the charming and sizable apartment within the venue where my less mobile family members could stay for the week with comfort and convenience.
The venue was excellent, and the people we worked with at the venue were too. They offered what felt like a family-run operation in the best sense of the term; they were kind, attentive to detail, responsive, professional, and competent. One of our favorite things was working with the bartenders to dial in a really good margarita recipe, which turned out to be a real crowd-pleaser. At the wedding I was hardly aware of staff's presence and everything went smoothly.
In summary, while Haystack is not necessarily for everybody (what venue is?), its green elegance, intimacy, uniqueness, charm and staff make it a place not to be overlooked in your quest for a wedding locale.
We had our wedding at Haystack and everything came together beautifully. Julia and Scott were great to work with, very responsive and accommodating. Everyone commented on how pretty everything was, and the staff even made us big servings of hot apple cider for the wedding when the weather dropped 30 degrees for our day. I highly recommend Haystack!
Haystack Hearth provided us with incredible service and a beautiful venue for our special day. Julia and Scott are a pleasure to work with. Julia's attention to detail, planning, and coordination skills are second to none. I would recommend this 100% of the time. Truly a gem on the front range.
The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating from the moment we came to look at the venue to the day of our wedding. They were available for questions and very communicative with us. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. All of the work they put into this property is amazing and they have a lot of versatility when it comes to set up for the ceremony and reception. We also utilized the onsite Airbnb for the weekend of the event which was very helpful. The venue itself is large and gives you the option of dancing in the courtyard or playing volleyball and other games in the grass which was a lot of fun for us and our guests. We were unable to use the deal they offer with the hotel nearby for discounted rooms and a shuttle service because of our last minute booking and there happened to be a concert in the area but I can imagine that being a great bonus for this venue. All around, this venue made my wedding day amazing and unforgettable!
We had such a magical day at Haystack Hearth. The space is absolutely beautiful and there are so many options of how to set up your wedding so that it’s customized to your taste. The owners are great and super easy to work with, we really could not have had a more perfect day!
I just had my wedding here! It was perfect and the owners are extremely reliable!! I would recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding venue for an affordable price! Seriously perfect for either and indoor or outdoor wedding.
My husband and I absolutely loved our wedding at Haystack Hearth, and so did our family and friends. It was even more beautiful in August than I could have hoped. The team there was really nice and easy to work with, including when it came to fulfilling some special requests. My dream of having an incredibly beautiful outdoor wedding came true thanks to Haystack!
Haystack Hearth did a great job. They were easy to work with, great at communication, and helped made sure my wedding went smoothly!
