Where to start? It would be impossible to overstate how impressed we are with Karey and the job she did photographing our wedding. From our initial phone consultation I could tell she was a go-getter and immediately felt just a little bit safer amongst all the chaos that comes with organizing a wedding. She arrived at the venue on time and was immediately on top of her game, and wasted absolutely none of our time throughout the day. When it was time for photos she was there telling us where to look, what to do, and working crowd control among the various looky-loos who were showing up at inopportune times. Beyond the quality of the photography and the direction, Karey was a much needed source of structure and support throughout the day, picking up the slack where other professionals fell short. She is a perfect mix of kind, assertive, and professional, and I can confidently say that if you choose to hire her for your wedding you will be getting your money's worth.

Karey was so fun to have with us through this process! She was helpful in so many aspects of our planning and on the big day - not just with the photography! Her experience and love of weddings really put us at ease and helped when things got stressful! On our wedding day she was super efficient, fun, had lots of great ideas, and most importantly kept us all on time! The photos for both our engagement session and wedding are STUNNING! The website is very easy to use and view on mobile devices (I wish the platform software allowed for zooming in on a photo while viewing on a mobile device but that's literally my only complaint!) I really appreciated the wedding photos being organized by category so it is really easy to find a specific one later. She returned the photos to us surprisingly fast and I cannot say enough how beautiful they are!!

If you’re looking for a photographer for your special event look no further! We got married on 5/23/21 at Sunol’s Casa Bella. We worked with Karey at Hazy Lane for our engagement photos and wedding. It was an amazing experience!!! There aren’t enough words to adequately express my appreciation for Karey! If you want a talented photographer that is honest, kind, and easy to work with - this is your place! I had to plan my wedding three times because of Covid. Yes, three times! Because of that I feel an extra bond with all of my vendors. One of our postponements involved our wedding getting cancelled the day before the wedding because of fires/ smoke conditions. During each pivot Karey remained supportive and patient. Colors changed, venues changed, but Karey’s level of commitment to making our wedding picture perfect was constant. I sent her SO many texts and emails with questions, and each time she was responsive! She has the perfect combination of talent and kindness. She executed exactly I wanted by listening to me but also offered her expertise when needed. We faced so many wedding hurdles, but every time it came to photography, I felt a sense of ease working with Karey. Overall, I’m proud to say our wedding day was perfect! Karey kept us on schedule with our timeline but managed to make everything feel seamless and stress free. We cannot thank Karey enough. My husband and I got married at Elliston Vineyards in November 2019, so this is a long time overdue! The ONLY reason this review is so late, is because life is crazy and I wanted so badly to do Karey justice that I put it off until I had time to sit down and really put how much she meant to us down in words. Karey is incredible. First of all, her photos are works of art, seriously go look at her albums and they speak for themselves. What her photos can’t tell you but I will back 10000% is that Karey was so much more than a photographer to us on our day (and those leading up to it). I was so nervous and overwhelmed the day of, and the moment I stepped foot onto the venue grounds, Karey took complete charge, telling everyone where to be when to be there, all while taking incredible photographs. She made me feel at ease and helped me with more than she realize (she literally told me how I was supposed to cut the cake, since apparently neither me nor my husband thought to practice that part). Cue corny part, but I am absolutely convinced Karey has magic powers, she was literally everywhere at once, but so discrete and professional that most people don’t even remember seeing a photographer (and she had an assistant there too!). Unruly bridal party or family? Not to worry, Karey is a master at getting everyone where they need to be, fast and firmly. I seriously can’t say enough good things about our experience working with Karey (engagement shoot and wedding)! I can guarantee we will be looking to work with her again when we decide to start our family. We love her and you will too!

From our initial phone consultation, I knew that Karey was the right choice for our wedding. I had planned for an outdoor ceremony for my fall wedding and wanted to work with someone that had experience shooting multiple weddings at my venue both indoors and outdoors. My wedding planner was concerned that my reception was being held inside a winery with dark wine barrels and not a lot of natural lighting. It was a sigh of relief knowing Karey was a preferred vendor at the Palm Event Center. She made me feeling confident that she was familiar with the venue and even suggested the perfect starting time based on my wedding day’s golden hour. She was upbeat and fun. Prior to speaking with her, other photographers were disappointed to hear that my wedding was smaller with less than 80 invited guests on a Monday and offered less than 6 hours of coverage with a minimum amount of edited photos. With Karey, she offered an unlimited amount of time with coverage at the venue and gave me a customized package deal based on my Monday event. My husband who hates taking photos got lost meeting us for the engagement photos. Karey was patient and was able to deliver quality engagement photos despite our stressful situation. The day of the wedding, I was the one that arrived late to the venue. Karey took control and directed my wedding party so that we can make up for the time without sacrificing precious sunlight or ruining my ceremony start time. Karey was a Natural leader working and guiding other vendors to promptly gear up for all the wedding events such as wedding party introductions, first dance, speeches, bouquet/garter toss, cake cutting. She focused her efforts in ensuring she take the best shots of me and my groom. I appreciated her honesty in directing everyone so that she can capture better photos. For example, Karey hinted that there were enough photos of me wearing my ballgown overskirt and coverup top that I should remove it or I may regret keeping them on after the ceremony or moving my hair to She was right! My wedding didn’t happen perfectly as planned but it was still beautiful and everyone had a great time. I was so eager to share things online and I was pleasantly pleased Karey was able to immediately provide Sneak Peaks to post on social media. It was a pleasure working with her!

Karey was amazing! Very easy to work with and went out of her way to make the day run smoothly. Karey makes sure that the pictures are done efficiently and orderly. She captured our church ceremony and reception at Blackhawk Country Club perfectly.

Karey was great! She always responded to emails promptly and was very organized. After booking with her, she checked in with me and my now husband periodically and sent us reminders, which helped us stay on top of things and eased our minds leading up to our big day. On our wedding day, Karey provided direction to our large (and a bit rowdy) bridal party with ease and captured incredible shots. My husband and I are so happy with our wedding gallery, and we are so happy we selected Karey as our wedding photographer!

Karey is an all star. We feel so lucky to have had her capture all of the memories from our special day at The Bridges Golf Club on 1/19/19. From the beginning, Karey was always super responsive and communicative, which was very important to me and calming all of my anxiety when it came to planning our wedding. We got the 8-hour package and used one of the hours for our engagement shoot on Mt. Diablo which was totally worth it. It helped us to get comfortable working with her before our big day. Leading up to our wedding, Karey was super helpful with our timeline and planning all of the groups we wanted to get pictures with, which was tough because of my big family. On our wedding day, Karey showed up early, and the whole time kept us on schedule and knew exactly when and where to go to get all of the important pictures squeezed in to such a small time frame because of the early sunset in January. Our wedding was amazing, and having Karey as our photographer made the day go that much smoother and let us enjoy it without having to worry about anything. After the wedding, Karey got our pictures back to us within the time frame she promised. The pictures turned out to be amazing and captured everything so perfectly. The photo book that she made for us is such a treasure. If you are lucky enough to have Karey as your photographer you will not regret it. She is the best!

I’m so happy that Karey was our wedding photographer! She is an amazing photographer and an absolute pleasure to work with. The resulting photos are BEAUTIFUL! Karey is very organized and responsible, and ABSOLUTELY MEETS BY TYPE-A STANDARDS. Two months in advance, she’ll send a questionnaire asking about day-of timeline, must-have shots, etc. One to two weeks in advance, she’ll meet with you to go over the plan and she’ll send an email with friendly reminders. On the wedding day, Karey is SURPRISINGLY EFFICIENT. There was one hour (between the ceremony and the reception) that was allocated for family photos, wedding party photos, and newlywed photos. It was a super-efficient whirlwind with Karey’s guidance on where to stand, suggestions on how to pose, etc. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and capture the happiness of our wedding day. I was also pleasantly surprised about the printed album – so beautiful and professionally done!

This review for Karey is SOOO long overdue. My husband and I got married in December 2017 and Karey was nothing short of A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. She got a million photos that I love - and that's hard to do when I'm the type that deletes almost every photo I'm in. She wrangled up our very large (some unruly) bridal party and made sure to get every picture in that we wanted. And the wedding album? GORGEOUS. She also did a spectacular job on our engagement pictures and made sure we felt natural in all our lovey dovey poses. I still can't choose my favorite photo. I would recommend Karey in a heartbeat. :)

Karey is everything you would want in a photographer and more! I can't say enough about what an amazing job she did through the entire process. Her knowledge of the wedding industry is just one of the many extra perks you get when you work with her. I was very overwhelmed with picking vendors that I didn't know and Karey was more than happy to make suggestions as we needed them. With her help our wedding day was perfect! I don't know if there is a more caring photographer in this business. Her love for her couples shines in her work. She hustles more than anyone I know and truly loves every minute of what she does which is an energy that easily transfers to her couples and their bridal parties. Karey is worth her weight in gold as a wedding photographer. In my opinion, there are two things to look out for when booking a photographer - first, do they take good photos? Her work speaks for itself. Her style is soft and romantic, yet her attention to detail is stunning. Each photo has so many more layers to it than first meets the eye, and with 1,700 from our day to choose from, there was no element of the day that was missed. Second, and most importantly, Karey is incredible to work with. Her experience and professionalism went SO FAR in planning for our wedding. I felt I could completely trust in her to do her job, which left me with one less thing to worry about on the big day. She was incredibly open to hearing about my style and preferences and got all of the shots I told her were important. She kept the wedding party and family in line, was quick and efficient, and made my husband and I feel so at ease during our couple photos. She had previously worked with my planner and videographers - and it was evident that they knew when to get in and out of eachothers way, and the final products were all the better for it. I hired Karey to take our wedding photos at SF City Hall and I can’t even put into words how beautiful every single photo is. I literally had THE hardest time narrowing down the photos for our album – I wanted them all!! The album is gorgeous and such beautiful high quality lay flat images – it’s a work of art in itself. Karey is beyond amazing! After booking our venue, she was the first vendor we decided on... which was the best decision ever. From the beginning, Karey was professional, organized, and helpful in far more aspects than just the photography. She offered help with finding vendors, forming a timeline, and much more. Going into the wedding, I felt extremely confident in Karey and she did not let us down. The day of the wedding, Karey helped keep everyone on track, was encouraging, fun, and helped make sure my husband and I felt so confident. t was an immediate connection I felt with Karey from the start (she took my call once when she was at her daughter's gymnastics practice, THAT is dedication!). She flew to San Diego to do our engagement shoot on the beach, and the photos were stunning! She made us instantly feel comfortable in front of the camera, and kept the mood light and fun. The day after the wedding we saw a couple teaser photos and were obsessed! It has been about a month and we are already looking through our wedding album to choose our favorites for our album! Karey was awesome! From the beginning, we loved her energy and personality. She was amazing on wedding day. She was our only shooter. She was quick and able to capture so much for a wedding of 250 guest. My husband and I got married in July 2017 and Karey was our photographer for multiple events - the henna night, engagement shoot, and of course, the big day!! She was one of our favorite vendors we worked with. Our engagement shoot was in Yosemite and she was incredible to be around and made both myself and my husband feel so comfortable during all the shoots. From what I remember this was her first time shooting a henna night and a Persian ceremony but I wasn't hesitant about it at all. WOW WOW WOW!!! Karey is not only an AMAZING and passionate photographer, but I feel like she is part of our family at this point. She was introduced to me by a good family friend, and after meeting her ONCE for coffee, I knew she was "the one" LOL! Karey was with us through the entire process: our engagement photos, the rehearsal dinner, the wedding day, a sexy (and secret!) boudoir shoot where she made me feel 100% comfortable, and on top of that, my husband and I are expecting, and I have requested that Karey do our newborn shoot coming next year. Karey is AMAZING! When searching for a photographer, my husband and I were looking for someone who does great photos with natural lighting. When looking through Karey's work, it was evident that she takes amazing photos utilizing natural lighting. Karey is simply perfection. From the day I met her in her studio, I knew she had to be our photographer. Our engagement shoot was the first time that my now husband met Karey. He is not a fan of having his photo taken and I was worried that he really wouldn't enjoy the process. The first thing that he said when we got in the car to head home was, "That was so fun! She quickly put together our wedding album from the photos we've chosen in the most story-telling way with a good layout. I couldn't have done it myself. My sister-in-law actually loved our engagement photos so much that she asked for Karey's contact info for her wedding next year. Do try to book Karey early, as more of her services become a la cart.

Karey was absolutely wonderful to work with for our engagement session and wedding! We were referred to her by my sister-in-law – Karey also did her wedding. From the beginning, Karey was extremely organized, had great communication and just made the process fun. We chose the package that included engagement + wedding photos. Karey was very open to trying a new location that she had not previously shot at (Muir Woods) for our engagement session. I highly recommend getting engagement pictures done just so you get to know each other a little bit and Karey’s style. Karey is excellent at giving direction when taking photos. I think knowing how she gives direction made the wedding day go more smoothly. After looking at our engagement pictures, we wanted a few more head on shots for the wedding day, which Karey was open to and made sure to capture. We chose the package that includes two photographers for the wedding day. We decided to spend extra money on a second photographer instead of a videographer. I feel like two photographers gave us much more coverage throughout the day. Renee was Karey’s second shooter and also did a great job. Their styles are so similar that complete gallery is totally seamless. The wedding day went off without a hitch – all due to Karey’s organization and communication. Prior to the wedding day, she has the timeline down to a T. She is excellent at commanding the group to get the pictures done in a timely manner. And just trust her with the locations and lighting at your venue – she reads it perfectly. Our pictures were absolutely stunning. I feel like Karey captured all of the small details and emotions of the day beautifully. I will continue to use Karey in the future for family photos.

Karey was such an amazing photographer to work with. I booked her for my wedding after working with her when I was a MOH in a friend's wedding. She was an absolute joy to work with. The day of, she is super efficient and makes the day go as smoothly as possible. Karey was referred to us via our matron of honor. They've been best friends since childhood, so we already felt a huge sense of trust that she would do an amazing job. While I was planning my wedding, I knew that pictures the most important to me; I wanted to be able to re-live that very magical day. I loved working with Kary throughout the whole wedding process. She is very laid back when it comes to pre and post details (especially waiting on me to make decisions) but means business day-of, which I totally appreciate. She will get your groomsmen in line.
