hings fell apart when it came time to deliver... 3 days over 6 weeks later, he posted a tiny video of 1 min 47 s on Youtube (since removed by a privacy complaint from me... since he never once bothered to give us a copy of the mp4, by email or cloud drive.. it was clearly just being used by him for self-promotion). I looked at the video, and though it seemed good at first sight, think: it was tiny... and this guys later-proclaimed self-indulgent, "artistic freedom" (wannabe Martic Scorsese), amounted to mere slow motion... virtually 95 sec of the 107sec video was in x0.2 speed... do the math... the 107 sec video was actually just barely 25 seconds worth of actual footage... so if you think it captured even the couple's vows on the altar, even a second or two, or the father-daughter dance, or the father's reception sppech, or even one flash of the faces of the bridegroom's parents, or the three dogs in attendance (unique aspect)... you were very mistaken... just pictures of the couple slow dancing... to a superimposed tune he picked...Next we waited, waited and waited, then 1 week before 3 months he posted what he thought was his enire deliverable: a 6 min 30 sec video on Vimeo (no copy to us again)... and no, not a single frame of the bridegroom's parents, just as an example.. virtually the same slow motion style, and actual frames from his youtube preview video.... when we asked for edits, rather my daughter asked, very diplomatically, once in 2-3 weeks, Damian's responses included sentences like "Despite carefully vetting couples to ensure we are well matched with our clients, you somehow withheld the fact that you prefer a different artistic style than what we deliver. This has been the worst experience I have had with a couple, and has made me and my wife question whether we want to accept any new couples and run the risk of another bride bypassing our vetting process and then claiming dissatisfaction later."... and " If I were to look to my clients to make the creative decisions, I would have no style of my own, and be nothing but a hired gun who is only as good as the bride that I worked for." I asked for the raw unedited footage to try and edit it at my cost later, and he demanded another $1000 just for that... then dumped a few very very half-hearted, middle-edited, incomplete videos on Google drive and said "GFY" in effect...wrote very nasty demeaning emails to my very courteous daughter... she didn't even tell me till Dec 11, or Mr Demion would not just have been pleaded with, trust me... ! Youtube already deleted that pathetic 1 min 47s video on my complaint and Vimeo is also in the process of reminding him of privacy laws... this wouldn't have even come up had this wannabe Bian DePalma had recognized we pay him, for services which we have the usual assumptions of... it is a day to record moments of, not top advertise his firm only, using us as tools...willing or otherwise... least of all write demeaning emails to the couple.. off to their nightmare start of the best day of their lives, thanks to this guy called Demion or something... wish he disappears and heads to Hollywood, where he may have better luck... make a piece of art, SELL tickets to it, THEN MAKE money... deservedly... wrong profession, he found...
