Rob and Heather's photo gallery speaks for itself in terms of the absolutely amazing moments they will capture on your big day. What you don't get to see, unless you have the pleasure of working with them, is the energy between this beautiful husband and wife team. This energy permeates throughout your entire experience. They work so well together, which translates to how well they are going to work with you and your families. They are responsive, professional, organized, punctual and thorough. But they are also hilarious, personable, sweet and simply wonderful to spend your day with. Truth train: Heather and Rob were my photographer's 7 years ago for my 1st wedding to my 1st husband and they were so INCREDIBLE I didn't think twice about hiring them again for my 2nd wedding to my forever husband. ;) That may seem like an interesting or odd choice, but they are just.that.good. Anyone who chooses Rob and Heather are lucky beyond words! They are THE BEST!

Heather and Rob were fantastic. They fit right into our day as if we’d known them for years. It felt like they were nowhere and everywhere at the same time. We knew their sense of humor matched with ours with the zombie apocalypse clause in the contract. The communication leading up to the wedding was fantastic. We had a shot list as well as unplanned shots with the families and wedding party. Our venue was not a traditional venue (a rowing club), and thus has terrible lighting, but Heather and Rob were amazing with their low light photos as well as using lights to create dramatic portraits at sunset and once it was dark outside. When we received our photos, they came in a zipped file that had them sorted into folders making it very easy to look through them all and share. We would very happily recommend them to anyone who is looking for wedding photography.

Heather & Rob didn't take our wedding pictures, but they did help afterwards by doing an amazing job with editing the photos we had! I'm so pleased with the way the edits turned out and communication was quick and easy. They took our photos from good to GREAT!

Heather & Rob were an amazing part of our planning process! They were the photographers for both of my brothers' weddings and we knew that we wanted them as soon as we saw the pictures! My now husband and I got married during COVID and they were so helpful with us having to replan and reorganize the entire day! All of the pictures from the sneak peak and engagement were phenomenal! Heather and Rob have definitely gone above and beyond and I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for amazing pictures!

Heather and Rob really went above and beyond during our wedding planning process! Their creativity and expertise really showed in our engagement and wedding photos (June 2019). A last minute photo suggestion by Heather during our engagement shoot even turned out to be our save the date! It was awesome to have different perspectives for our photos with great attention to detail. They were able to capture so many essential candid and dance photos during our wedding that we included prints with our Thank You cards. They were efficient and organized each day. Very attentive with quick responses to any questions/concerns. Great price, greater product. Very honest and authentic couple that we loved working with. Their efforts allowed us to maximize our special moments with friends and family. For that we'll be forever grateful! Highly recommend!

I debated writing this because it wasn't going to be great. We were looking forward to having H&R do our wedding photos; we LOVED our engagement pics and were excited to see the level of creativity they'd bring on the actual day. Because of how beautiful our engagement session was, I didn't give them pages and pages of shots I wanted them to take. Truth is, I don't know much about photography nor about what looks good and so I trusted their judgement and creativity as professionals and told them as such. I gave a couple pages of family shots I wanted and figured that with the several hours we allotted for pre-ceremony photos (first look, bride/groom portraits, bridal party, etc.) we'd have ample selection of beautiful shots of just us two that we could hang in our home. We got our photos back and I cried...not happy tears. By my count there were less than 10 intentional poses of my husband and me. Less than 10 poses where we don't have food in our face, in the middle of speaking, listening to a speech, or singing along to a song. There is not one bride/groom portrait in the hundreds of photos that we received back that I am excited to frame. There are however an abundance of photos documenting a prank by a couple groomsmen that actually really upset me on my wedding day, so I'm glad that part was well-documented. My advice here is to think long and hard about every conceivable photograph you'd like snapped of you and your new spouse, write it down, and have it photographed several times to get it right. Wish I had been a bit more 'hands-on' with this aspect of our wedding, I'm truly upset that I wasn't.

A couple of years ago, I introduced my husband (boyfriend then) to Heather & Rob and told him "this is our future wedding photographers"! We all laughed, but my mind was made years ago when I first saw their work. Them being real people, was my favorite thing about them. Real people meaning they don't make you feel like they are just doing a job... they are comforting throughout one of the biggest days of your life, giving a breath of fresh air on a very hectic day. Not only are they simply enjoyable people, but their photos are amazing! They make a whole lot of something out of what you thought was a whole lot of nothing because their eyes are just THAT good. The way they capture the most special moments is like no other. Our guests and friends keep asking for their information because they are so impressed. There is no need to try to convince anyone to book with them because if you simply see their work & meet this amazing couple, you'll be sold from there. There's not enough words to explain how grateful we are to have had them capture our biggest day. Thank you, Heather and Rob!

Clean Slate was the first vendor we booked after STRONG recommendations from multiple family members and friends. Heather and Rob were a huge part in making our day so stress free and fun. Not only were the pictures amazing (and there were a ton!) but they included everything from the finer details of our decor to amazing candid shots. I was also stunned at how many photos they got while barely seeing them all night. They were really good at blending in with the crowd and not being in your face. My fiance and I are not super comfortable getting our photos taken, so this was a huge plus. Heather and Rob are extremely down to earth and made the entire process enjoyable. The best part about using Clean Slate was how quickly they got all the photos we wanted. My wedding party (and my fiance and I) were anxious about missing out on the cocktail hour or part of our reception. 10/10 recommend Heather and Rob! It will be the best decision you make for your wedding day.

I got married on October 7, 2018. Heather and Rob were FANTASTIC to work with!!! I am extremely meticulous when it comes to choosing vendors and I wanted to ensure that I had the best of the best for my wedding day. This was essentially the most important day of my life and I wanted to make sure I had pictures that captured all of those important moments I missed during the day. Heather and Rob were like ninjas and most of the time I forgot they were even there. I had interviewed and spoken with over 30 photographers. We really wanted a husband and wife team to capture our special day. But I made sure to do a lot of research before meeting Heather and Rob. During our first meeting, I asked every question I could think of and the “uncomfortable” ones and not once were they bothered or uncomfortable with anything I asked. They were such a breath of fresh air!! After our first meeting was over, my husband and I knew they were OUR photographers!! We briefly confirmed with each other and within the next 2 hours I called Rob and secured our date! They were extremely communicative throughout the process and even graciously took phone calls from my controlling, overbearing mother (which I apologized profusely). The day of our wedding they were early, set up and were ready to go by the times stated on our day of timeline. Everything went great on the photography end. We were about 40 minutes behind for the reception but that was due to our venue manager and wedding coordinator. I was so impressed with Heather and Rob we added an extra hour to our package and it was well worth it!! We contracted for 9 hours and an “after session.” When we decided to book them, we had already done our engagement photos and the engagement session was included with their package. I had the idea of having a “Day After” session so my husband and I can take photos together uninterrupted since we knew the wedding day would be crazy enough! Heather and Rob had never done a Day After session but were excited to take on the task and I must say, I enjoyed our Day After session so much more because it was just me and him and time of reflection and basking in the love we have for one another. Heather and Rob captured every bit of those feelings the next day and made the transition of photos flow as if they had all been taken the same day!! They gave us a sneak peek the night of the wedding which again was IMPRESSIVE. We woke up to an email with over 100 pictures from our special day and they were breathtaking!!! They delivered the rest of the images via mail 2 months after our wedding (I was shocked)!! I couldn’t believe they were able to perfect 800-1000 images so quickly!!! Heather and Rob’s chemistry is AMAZING and UNPARALLELED . They will stop traffic, contort their bodies in all different positions and move clouds and mountains to get “that” shot!! My husband and I are extremely pleased with our pictures and the day was made even better with Heather and Rob a part of our wedding team. Heather and Rob have become family and we will plan to have them apart of our summer housewarming gathering! If you are still contemplating on hiring Clean Slate, STOP, you have found your wedding photographer team. HIRE THEM!!!

From the moment we met Rob and Heather we knew they would be perfect for us. We could tell they enjoyed what they do and they were easy to joke with. We didn't want someone taking our pictures that we didn't feel any sort of connection with or couldn't act goofy with. Then we read the contract and the the clauses made us both laugh so hard. We knew we picked the right people for the job. We did the storyteller package (we decided to add the video the month of the wedding). They met us at Longwood Gardens and did our engagement shoot, even though it was probably a 2+ hour drive from their house. We got some amazing high quality photos from them. Their colors were so vibrant, which is something I wanted! And we had some laughs with them. For our wedding, they went and photographed the guys getting ready and then came back to take pictures of the girls getting their dresses on. Unfortunately weather was not cooperative that day so a lot of the photos I would have wanted didn't happen, but they made the best of the situation and we got some great pictures. They are great at catching shots you don't even know they are around for. We are very pleased with our wedding photos. As for the last minute video, I am so happy we added that. We wrote our own vows so we asked if they could do the voice recording for that portion, so our video has that playing in the background with all the various shots they took during our day. We really loved them, and would recommend them to everyone!

I met Heather and Rob at a local bridal show and immediately knew I had met the people I wanted to capture the excitement and once in a lifetime moments of my upcoming wedding. Unlike other photographers I met that day I felt no pressure and instead immediately felt as if I was talking to family or at least life long friends. Their dedication to the art was apparent in the sample photos and their fun-loving personalities are sure to put everyone at ease on a very exciting, but at times stressful day. We are a Disney loving couple who will be traveling to Florida for our January nuptials. Heather and Rob agreed to travel with us and even allowed us to put a little touch of Disney in our engagement photos. All of our family loves them and look forward to seeing the beautiful images they capture in Florida but again at our local reception later in the year.

Heather and Rob are the best!! My husband and I only have positive things to say. We had such a wonderful expirence with both of them. To be honest I was so nervous signing a contract for a photographer because we only do this once and I wanted to make sure our pictures were amazing. Heather and Rob did not let us down, instead they exceed expectations. We are IN LOVE with our sneak peek photos and can not wait to see all the finals ❤️ They were flexible, patient, and just genuinely fun people to have around us all day on our wedding day. Heather and Rob were amazing photographers for our wedding back in August! They blew us away during our engagement shoot with candid photos that not only reflected our personalities and goofiness, but also captured moments of our love for each other. The wedding photos were fabulous as well! Heather and Rob were incredibly flexible when we added shots to the formals list last minute. And they captured beautiful photos of our first dance in motion as well as our parent dances. They caught all the happiness and joy on our guests' faces and ours throughout the entire evening. Photography was the one area of the day that I really wanted to be perfect, and we could not have made a better choice than Heather & Rob. They have such an eye for detail and the photos we've seen so far - engagement shoot and our "sneak peek" - were flawless. They are super responsive and always got back to us very quickly whenever we had a question, and the questionnaire they had us complete prior to the wedding captured everything we could possibly want. They were professional, easy to work with, and funny (contract included a zombie clause). Bottom line: they know what they're doing, they do it well, and their work speaks for itself!

Heather and Rob are the most AMAZING photographers you will ever meet. We chose Heather and Rob because they take photos that could easily be in wedding magazines! They were the photographers for five other weddings of our friends and when we got engaged, they were my FIRST vendor to book! My husband thought I was nuts booking someone so far in advance, but he was also BLOWN away by the quality of our wedding photos. They also did our engagement photos and allowed our fur-baby to attend, which we loved! Heather and Rob feel like family to us at this point! They are very personable, planned and committed to capturing weddings in a way that makes your special day really stand out as the best day of your life! This is the EASIEST choice you could make!

Heather and Rob are amazing photographers and even better people! We were introduced a few years back at a friend’s wedding, and now they have photographed 3 of our close friends’ weddings and have two more (including my sister’s) coming up! We were thrilled with our experience, from the breathtaking and picturesque photographs to how smooth they were throughout the engagement shoot and the wedding itself. I first met Heather and Rob last year during the Baltimore Wedding Fair. I went back to their booth several times as I was in love with their photography --- the drama, the colors, the angles, the love and humor that they captured in their work! They are wonderful to work with. Heather and Rob were very professional and worked well with our wedding planner. They ran with my ideas and requests during the engagement photo shoot and were so discreet during the actual wedding. I cannot say enough positive things about Heather and Rob. Their attention to detail and devotion to capturing our true selves on our day was very important to me. We had our wedding July 15th 2017. They were AMAZING.

Words can't even begin to describe how happy I was to have Heather & Rob photograph my wedding. From the first meeting over coffee, to answering all of my questions promptly, to being professional, fun, and easy to work with at the wedding, everything was perfect! The pictures are amazing!! Heather & Rob really have a way of capturing all of the emotions of such an important day. I cannot recommend them any higher, they are great to work with!!

Rob and Heather are amazing! Clean Slate photographed our close friends' wedding back in December 2014. When Nick and I got engaged, they were our first phone call, as I fell in love with not only my friends' wedding pictures but their entire portfolio! Our engagement pictures were perfect, with a beautiful sunset over the Chesapeake Bay. They even embraced our wild fur babies who joined us on the shoot! Now for the wedding day... it torrential down poured all day! With the nasty weather, Rob and Heather came prepared and ready to go with their umbrellas and rain boots, ready for any curve balls the day threw at them (including a videographer, who was not always in the best positions). We are absolutely over the moon with how beautiful our wedding pictures turned out and have gotten amazing compliments from friends and family! The day couldn't have gone more perfectly! We signed up for the The Storyteller Package which included shooting our engagement photos as well as photographing and videotaping our wedding ceremony and reception. Rob and Heather are amazing! They were very easy to work with, responsive, and made us feel at ease throughout the whole time. We loved our engagement pictures! We've only seen a sneak peek of our wedding photos at this time, but they came out so beautifully. Heather and Rob were amazing to work with. They made us feel relaxed so that we could enjoy our engagement and wedding photos.
