We aren't always the most photogenic but you wouldn't know that looking through our wedding pictures! I told my husband we'll need to get a bigger house to have room to hang all the good ones haha We planned our Seattle wedding while living in Iowa, Heather was a tremendous help throughout the entire process. Extremely responsive, I rarely had to wait more than 30min to hear back if I had questions on anything. She even recommended a fantastic flourist and an awesome DJ, you can tell she really loves weddings!

ions. I zeroed in on about 20 local photographers and picked through their online portfolios. What I liked most about Heather and Richard's style of photography was how they captured real moments as well as some posed, and are experienced in both indoor & outdoor wedding settings. Honestly, I don't see wedding photographers often grabbing those candid, real moments and they are the special parts of your day that you'll want to remember forever. I think those moments are the hardest to capture too so it's a high compliment to their skills as photographers that they capture them so perfectly. Also, they are with the times and aren't going to burn a CD for you (!) which is great, and I'd prefer the high quality download of images as we had 500+!! Our package included an engagement session which was a blast. We met with them in July of 2014 at the Seattle Sculpture Park and it was incredibly hot and windy out that day. Heather did a fantastic job of letting me know when mascara melted or wisps of hair were out of place! Richard had a film camera with him (meaning not digital but real film still shots) and the pictures from his camera were AMAZING! The texture that real film offers, and the way it captures color and light is a really cool addition to the high def you get with digital. The pictures are lightly processed before you receive them but the result doesn't look photoshopped, and there's no smeary glamour pics which seriously, I've seen in other wedding albums online. Our wedding was November 2014 at Salish Lodge and we met briefly beforehand to walkthrough the space. It was great to have that personal attention. I appreciated that they involved us in the decision making of where we could take group photos, or artistic photos. Our opinions were always consulted and I never felt like I couldn't say no to something. The day of: as added challenge we agreed to let Heather and Richard be photographed themselves for a short time while they were taking our 'getting ready' pics. This was 100% okay with us, and they had asked our permission beforehand which I respect and was happy to do it. It could've gone awry but it never did. Both Heather and Richard were cognizant of keeping the 3rd photographer away from our private moments and asking us continuously if we were okay. It was a brief part of the total day and again, it went so smoothly because Heather & Richard were so protective of us as clients. The reception also went really smoothly and I never noticed Heather & Richard in the background. When I received the final set of pictures I was so happy to see they'd captured many spontaneous moments like when I was visiting guests during dinner and gave my dad a hug. So many moments that I never would have remembered if I hadn't the pictures. I would add one more thing that they also offer some fantastic coffee table sized books and other picture printing options that we didn't sign up for (yet) but they brought a few books/examples to our wedding walkthrough and so I personally can vouch for the quality of those too. We also received a really lovely high quality print from our engagement session in the mail as a client gift, and it's framed in our entry way. Truly gorgeous work and the best couple you could meet that love photography!!

the event from that day. They were so comfortable to be around, super friendly, extremely talented, very professional, and made both my husband and I feel so at ease throughout all of our photos. We are so glad that we booked with them and can't wait to see all our pictures from our wedding. I was also very concerned with a specific budget I had to work within, and they were very open to working with me and even honored a coupon of theirs that they didn't have to. I was very appreciative of their openness to be flexible with me in that department. I would absolutely recommend them to another couple! They are AMAZING!
