Heather Parker is on the higher end for us, she was worth every penny. Heather is hardworking, intense (but not intrusive), very artistic and innovative. The journalistic style she is famous for captured the raw emotion of the most important day of our lives without posing for the cameras all day. Heather displayed her unbounded creativity making our photos far from the standard fare of wedding albums. Communicating on the payment, contracts, etc. was painless. Heather travels a lot to shoot weddings, but is always responsive.

Her photography is stunning, and it avoids many of the cliches associated with wedding photography. My fiancé and I met her for coffee before deciding if we wanted to hire her. We knew our ceremony would be against a wall of floor to ceiling windows and wanted someone with the technical know-how to get us photos of the ceremony that wouldn't look all washed out like some of the day time ceremony pictures we saw from the Ritz Carlton samples. Our wedding day was cold and rainy and Heather's planning assistance ahead of the big day really prepared us all for some great photos since we didn't want to get soaked outside. s Mansion in Watertown, MA. Right from the start Heather was prompt, responsive, and worked closely with us, to think through, how best to document our celebration. Neither of us had worked with a professional photographer before. Having Heather document our wedding felt natural and comfortable. We never felt like we were being staged or positioned in scenarios that weren't natural to our personalities. From an outdoor ceremony held during the peak of the afternoon, to an indoor cocktail hour, to an outdoor evening dinner, under a tent lit with candles and lanterns, our wedding had a broad range of lighting scenarios that Heather had to manage. I’m thrilled to say that the photographs captured were amazing. One of the joy’s in viewing all of the images from start to finish, is seeing the progression of how our day unfolded and discovering all of the wonderful moments that were captured during that wonderful day. an avid enthusiast of beautiful photography - so an exceptional partner to cover this critical detail was a must. As such, I had spoken with over 20 photographers when I finally came across Heather Parker - I LOVED her editorial / photo-journalistic style and her rates seemed reasonable in comparison to other photographers I'd interviewed. From day one, Heather was attentive, professional, insightful, and passionate about her work and our wedding. She went above and beyond for us at every turn - from an engagement shoot in Chicago (where we were living at the time, though scheduling our wedding in my hometown of Boston), to proactively joining us for our walk-through at the venue and snapping a few pictures for me to reference while I planned the wedding from afar, to reminding me to eat during the reception. During the ceremony Heather even managed to get pictures of me walking down the aisle and then ran all the way around the church to the side to capture a photo of my father lifting my veil - without even the slightest disturbance... I'm still trying to figure out how she did that! She did the work of three photographers and made it all look so easy! Heather provided us with our wedding pictures promptly on schedule (within 8 weeks of the wedding) - in Black & White and color, on DVD, with no watermarks; a service that I have come to understand is rare - (Many photographers retain the pictures for 6 months to a year before handing them over to the clients, forcing the newlyweds to purchase images from a third party site in the meantime). Heather does all of these things because she genuinely loves what she does and is exceptionally good at it. I don't think a better combination of talent exists and I couldn't have dreamed of a better partner to capture the most important day of our lives - so, seriously - stop searching, meet with Heather, and if her photographic style is right for you - trust that she will capture every aspect of your event flawlessly and exceed your expectations at every turn.
