About this vendor
Heather Scharf has been documenting the biggest day of people's lives for over 10 years and still tears up every time she see's her bride/new friend walk down the aisle. One thing couples often tell Heather is that her passion for photography really shines through in their photos as well as their experiences working with her. She is your best friend on your wedding day and knows exactly how to make you shine as a couple while also blending into the background to capture so many unforgettable moments. She is sentimental to a fault which is probably why she treats every moment like THE most important moment ever! You will never see her with her camera by her side because moments are missed with the camera isn't at work. She started her career as a clothing designer and after she got married found another calling. that turned into a gift she knew was straight from God. Capturing wedding days and engagements has filled Heather with more joy and gratitude than she ever thought possible. She cannot wait to meet you and hear your love story!...Cuz after all there is no other story she'd rather hear. Don't take our word for it, you can see what others are saying as she has over 100 5 star reviews from Wedding Wire, The Knot and Yelp.

ING AMAZING at her job!!!"
Heather's work is absolutely gorgeous! And she does so many things to make you feel prepared for your big day and relaxed when it comes. She coordinates with you ahead of time to make sure she gets all the special, unique shots you might want on your wedding day, and she even invests in getting to know your wedding party so she can interact with them effectively too. On the day of, she is so relaxed and smiley and friendly. Working with her makes you feel glamorous.
And then, Heather packages your photos for you in a beautiful way. She makes a gorgeous slideshow of all your very best photos set to music that you and your husband / wife can enjoy when your pictures are ready before diving into the gallery and resisting the urge to print every one of the spectacular photos Heather took as a wall-sized framed portrait. Combined with a nice bottle of wine, it makes for the perfect post-wedding date night.

rsonable, gives great direction but isn't bossy. She's also very reasonably priced for her kind of work. I cannot say enough great things about her.

rs and textures to make your photographs different from anything you've ever seen. She stays traditional while adding a modern twist. It's less about the perfect smile and more about the perfect setting. She is phenomenal!

some serious skills. Heather posted a sneak peek of our wedding the day after, and a larger blog post shortly after that, and the photos were breathtaking. She deftly herded our families, capturing great group shots, and then grabbed the two of us to wander around our site for candid and posed shots. She was fantastic at directing us into our most flattering poses, while also allowing our personalities and genuine love and happiness shine through.
While June in San Francisco is supposed to be dry as can be, we were lucky enough to have our wedding at the start of three days of rain. Heather was not phased, and her shots immortalize the moment with ethereal and atmospheric beauty. On her website you will see her state that she loves capturing love stories - her tasteful, beautiful, editorial style does just that. I could not recommend her more wholly.

travel all the way to Texas to shoot our wedding it was sooooo worth it!! Everyone has been so impressed with her work and we get so many compliments on the pictures. It is easy to tell that Heather pours her heart into her work and loves what she does. And even with covering her travel expenses, in total we spent around the same we would have for someone local. But the work she did was leaps and bounds above any local photographer we checked out. The girl is GOOD!
