I am completely obsessed with our wedding photos; she captured our day perfectly. In the BEST way possible, I kind of forgot she was there! She made it completely possible for my husband and I to stay present in the moments of the day without feeling "posed" or like the whole day was a photo op. But at the same time during our engagement session, she was able to direct Chase and I to get the best shots possible while still keeping it feeling natural for us. fter having interviewed 8 other photographers, we hired her for both our engagement and wedding photos. We felt there was an immediate sense of trustworthiness and joy in Heather. Besides providing the basics (a quick turnaround time for photos, a beautiful more-than-plenty photo collection, & excellent communication), Heather is just a kind and thoughtful human being. I especially remember when we were scheduling our engagement shoot. The weather was looking unpredictable, and she was already so willing to be flexible and reschedule for us. We had to move our engagement shoot two additional times after our initial date was set. I can't imagine how exhausting that must have been for her, but she did it. She was also willing to hop on many Zoom conference calls with us to answer our questions. Unsurprisingly, my husband and I had never planned a wedding before so we had a lot of questions. first thought was I need Heather as my wedding photographer because her work is beautiful, influential to another photographer, esp me because her creativity is inspiring and motivational. Through out working with Heather I realized immediately a few things that other brides should feel confidently about right off the bat, those things are, Heather is professional, quick to get back to her clients with advice, answers to questions, recommendations, and sending and receiving information regarding your day. She is super sweet and insanely fun. Our engagement session what not a photo shoot, it was a legit hang out Heather just being the third wheel and it was so fun. The first time I met her, I left telling my fiancé, I’m going to be friends with her - that’s because you just want her around - her personality is vibrant and contagious and that’s what also makes having her as your wedding photographer on your biggest days so special. YOUR GIRL. Photography was one of the most important things to me when planning our wedding and selecting a vendor. After all, flowers will wilt, the food will be gone, and the invitations will get thrown away (sad, I know), but photos are something that you'll have forever. Tribal Story: we had a very short window to take family photos post ceremony and my family was all over the place, not making it easy, but she stayed cool, calm and was adaptable to the situation and made it work. On our wedding day, she was calm, funny and corralled the masses when it came time for group photos. She took all the photos I could ever want on a wedding day, and more! She brought props (smoke, magnifying glasses, etc) and played with lighting for the most amazing photos (that I didn't even realize I needed, until I was looking through the edited album!) You can really see each couple's style in her online galleries while also seeing her art. At our first meeting, she answered every little question I had, including, "How can you guarantee our photos won't be accidentally deleted/lost?" Hahaha She is also incredibly fairly priced. Her quality is INSANE and so worth it! She does not overcharge and she has options to give you exactly what you want/can afford. On top of that, she has a huge heart and authenticity for days. She is your personal hype man and calm in the chaos. She made me feel like a queen and my groom like a king! Her second shooter Anna felt like a friend to me immediately as well and even burst into Baby Shark to get our flower girls and flower boy to stop long enough for the family photo when we were all about to give up on that one. Lol Heather worked sooooo incredibly well with every vendor, gave me ideas when I needed them, and validated the decisions I was sure about, (like my incredibly long veil that I still wanted flowy veil pics with!). Hahahah, major team effort there! She got pics I didn't even know I wanted while also getting all the small detail shots I did. When there was one item I didn't notice in the photos and asked if by chance she had gotten any, sure enough she had and uploaded it immediately! She literally captured everything. She even met me at 8am for a venue tour on a weekday just to scout it and be excited with me and look at all the great spots for photos. I really made a friend through this experience and she was an absolute dream come true. I'm tearing up again with how much gratitude I have for her and her heart.
