I truly cannot say enough good things about Gabby, Chelsea and the entire HVH Faces team. From the second I sat in their chairs, I felt completely taken care of. They are not only ...
insanely talented, but SO fun to be around, which matters more than people realize on your wedding day.
Wedding hair and makeup is such a personal experience, and they absolutely get that. They didn’t let me leave their chairs until everything felt perfect. They listened, adjusted, hyped me up, and somehow made the whole process feel calm and effortless. I was lucky enough to have them do my hair & makeup for my rehearsal dinner too, and I have genuinely never received more compliments in my life. Both nights I felt confident, beautiful, and completely secure knowing I was in the best hands.
They are truly made for this job and for being part of such meaningful days. If you are looking for wedding hair and makeup, I seriously could not recommend HVH Faces more. Absolute dream team. 🤍
HVH was perfect for my wedding! I started with my trial with Gabby and Chelsea. They were responsive, professional, and efficient. On the day of my wedding they showed up promptly ...
on time and even finished early! I have been in many weddings and I have never had makeup and hair run as smoothly as that. Not only did they make myself and my wedding party look beautiful, but they were very easy to work with and so professional.
Booking HVH Faces was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Heather and her team are incredible! My hair and makeup was flawless. Every single one of my girls adored t...
he way their hair and makeup turned out as well! They are well worth the investment and deliver the quality that is promised from day one. I also appreciated their professionalism and timeliness. They made sure we were all done and finished with touch-ups well in advance. Would hire them again in a heartbeat!
Booking HVH makeup and hair was the absolute best decision I ever made. All of the workers that came on my wedding day were amazing and my bridal party loved everything. They also ...
made us feel so comfortable and beautiful! Highly recommended.
Heather has been THE makeup artist for all my best friends weddings since 2019 and she NEVER MISSES. Heather was the first vendor I booked once I had my date locked in because I kn...
ew that no one else would be able to deliver the quality that is Heather’s standard. She is professional, timely, and looks out for the bride's best interests in regards to the cohesiveness of photos and bridesmaids overall look, which I was so appreciative of.
When I told Heather I wanted to try a red lip for my rehearsal dinner, something I’ve never done before and a look that was a complete 180 from my wedding day look, she encouraged me to go for it and knocked it out of the park! I looked flawless and was so sad to remove my makeup at the end of the night. My wedding makeup was no different, I felt so confident on my wedding day and my makeup made me feel like a bride. I swear I did not have pores on my wedding day and my cheekbones were out of this world. I could not have been more satisfied with my makeup on both days.
Of course, my two wonderful hair artists also helped complete the visions! Rebeka took my thin straight hair and made it look so beautiful and full in an elegant updo that lasted through the wedding, the reception, and the after party! Lindsey, who did my rehearsal look, created stunning Hollywood glam curls that were perfect for the occasion. I am so obsessed with both looks and will be in love with these photos forever!
The rest of Heather’s team was so kind and professional while making the women in my life look stunning and feeling their absolute best! They also worked magic with the flower girls who were not completely convinced that they wanted to get their hair done. We had a total of 5 artists helping the 15 of us get ready in time for the wedding!
The TDLR version is that I cannot recommend this team more highly and you will be in the best hands possible with HVH!

l. I reached out to her a week prior because I wanted to change my hairstyle from the hair trial and she did such an amazing job. She was amazing. They were all extremely efficient and timely. All of them had friendly and kind personalities. I had 9 people getting hair and makeup services and everyone looked incredible.
I think out of all the vendors that I hired, I was the most nervous about hiring H&MU. After all, that decision was going to dictate how I looked on my wedding day. But man, oh man...
, did I make the best decision that I could have.
Heather and Rebekah were UNREAL. Aside from the fact that they made me look flawless, they are so fun and hilarious and I want to be friends with them IRL. It's so important to have great energy and vibes on your wedding day and they deliver.
I looked amazing. My bridesmaids couldn't stop talking about how beautiful they looked. We were all more than impressed with the level of service.
Stop second guessing and hire HVH ASAP. You absolutely won't regret it.
Chelsea and Gabby were absolutely AMAZING! From the trials (I ended up doing two because I couldn’t decide hair up or down, and ended up doing both!) to wedding day, I couldn’t hav...
e asked for better! My bridesmaids were so impressed by their hair/make up and said it was the best they have had from all the weddings they had been in! I was obsessed with mine and chose to have them stay for an extra 2 hours for touch ups and a planned hairstyle change which was so worth it! I would chose them over again and highly recommend!!
Really happy with how hair and makeup turned out. We all still looked like ourselves! Makeup was natural and beautiful. Hair and makeup stayed fresh all night! Thank you
Heather and Rebekah were hands down the BEST hair and makeup artists I could’ve asked for! They made me feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day and I know that all my bridesmaid...
s felt beautiful as well. They were such a pleasure to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend them to all brides to be. Hopefully I’ll get to have them do my hair and makeup again in the future!!
My ladies and I LOVED working with Gabby and Chelsea for my big day. I had 7 other makeup services and 6 other hair services and they were so attentive to each little detail and re...
quested by each bridesmaid. They also made my trial SO comfortable because I had no idea what to expect and they worked with me to make sure my look was exactly what I wanted for my big day. I would absolutely recommend them for any Arizona wedding!
If you want the morning of your wedding to be a dream, stick to your schedule and feel the most beautiful you've ever felt, then you NEED to hire HVH! I had a bridal party of 10 (7...
bridesmaids, 2 moms & bride) and Heather and her team did an absolutely phenomenal job.
Not only did everyone love how they looked, but the team was so fun to hang out with the morning of my wedding.
While I was in the midst of trying to decide who I wanted to do our hair and makeup, I reached out to several well known companies throughout the valley. What blew me away about HVH was the level of professionalism that I received as soon as I reached out to them. They were prompt in responding, professional, and made it so easy to work with them. When I told my planner who we booked for hair and make up, her response was, "Oh thank goodness, I don't have to worry about our timeline with HVH because they always stay on schedule."
Heather, Rebekah, Sydnee, and Gabby are so incredibly talented and every one of my bridesmaids and both moms absolutely loved their hair and makeup. They more than worth every penny and I'd highly, highly recommend them.
If you're in Tucson and want to look stunning throughout your ENTIRE DAY, you have to go with HVH no question! Gabby and Syndee did my bridal makeup and hair and they were amazing....
I felt confident, listened to, and beautiful! I also had a large number of ladies getting makeup done and HVH did an amazing job of scheduling everything out. I was incredibly pleased with the services I received!

d!
From the very beginning Heather was easy to communicate with, and helped me pick the perfect combination for hair & makeup (Hair: Chelsea, Makeup: Erika) for myself, my Mom and all of my bridesmaids.
Chelsea and Erika were incredible to work with. During my trial, they were open to feedback, professional, so organized, and made me feel beautiful and confident.
I'm not sure how they managed to fit everyone's hair and makeup in on the day of the wedding and stick to their schedule before they knew what each of the girls were going to ask for but they crushed it! Each of my girls looked beautiful -- not overdone, and they all said they felt like their best selves!
I'm so excited to see the rest of the photos to show off their work! THANK YOU LADIES!!

Gushing on... All of the girls in my party loved their hair and makeup! The airbrush and extra level of detail provided with the touch ups right before we had to leave was amazing. I also got a little kit for touchups throughout the night! When I got my wedding pictures back I couldn't believe how great my makeup looked.
Thank you all SO much. You're truly masters of your craft. Xo.
I cannot say enough about Heather and Rebekah and the entire HVH crew. I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life than I did on my wedding (and rehearsal) day. The talented...
and passionate women of HVH are absolute masters at their craft. Heather and Rebekah, thank you so much, I adore both of you. Heather’s make up skills are next level editorial and Rebekah’s braids are jaw dropping stunning. Not only are these women so incredibly talented, they helped to make my day. They are sweet and funny and helpful, from helping me choose my earrings, to last minute inspirational changes, to helping me make sure my veil was steamed and looking sharp. I had so much fun with them every minute of my day. Thank you again ladies for having fun with us and making me feel confident and beautiful. Your impact on my day was priceless. You deserve all the praise. You are the absolute best!

m, and I all LOVED how our hair and makeup turned out.
I don't usually wear much makeup so I was very worried about not looking like myself. Erika (our makeup artist) really listened and my makeup turned out perfectly. And Rebekah did a fantastic job on hair, perfectly executing all of our ideas.
Because Tucson was a destination wedding for us, I wasn't able to do the hair & makeup trial before the wedding. Heather did a virtual consultation with me instead, which was very helpful and made me feel confident about my wedding hair & makeup. It turned out great :)
I would highly recommend HVH for your Tucson wedding.

nd my wedding party on my new date! She truly listened and took the time to understand what I envisioned looking like on my wedding day and delivered beyond my imagination. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day I and I owe that all to Heather and her team! They were on time and incredibly efficient during the day itself leaving us with extra time to spare during the getting ready process so we could relax and enjoy everything! All of my girls told me it was the best hair and make-up experience they’ve ever had, and I couldn’t agree or recommend HVH more!
Chelsea and Gabby are the DREAM TEAM! So amazing and sweet. Everybody in my wedding party LOVED them and I was floored by how sweet and professional they were

oking at the portfolios of HVH, I was sold!! At the beginning of the planning process, their name came up and I kept it in the back of my mind. Months later, I looked them up again and still knew they were better than anyone else and I needed to book them. I had Rebekah for hair and Gabby for makeup, and they were amazing!! My trial went so smoothly, and they were able to take my inspiration photos/ideas and turn them into what was perfect for me! I trusted them for most of the creative process, as I know little to nothing about beauty, and it worked out so well! The trial was a lot of fun and very comfortable, like I was just hanging out with a couple friends that just so happened to do my hair and makeup. They executed everyone’s looks perfectly for the wedding, and I couldn’t be happier! All of my girls looked gorgeous, but natural (nothing cake-y). The photos turned out great, and we looked and felt like models. I wish I had a good enough of a reason to go back to HVH and get all glammed up again! Thank you, Gabby and Rebekah!!

of makeup usually, and Erika did an amazing job of enhancing everyone's natural beauty without overdoing anything. Chelsea was able to take one look an inspo picture for a hairstyle and execute it flawlessly even on all of our different hair types and lengths, and everyone was so delighted with how their look came out. Both ladies were friendly, upbeat, and professional as well as efficient without stomping on the fun of the day while we were all getting ready. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

make up done day-of made me so happy that I hired this team! So professional during the stressful getting-ready time and kept us all on time so we weren’t rushing or anything. Can’t thank HVH enough for their amazing work and key role in my wedding!!

ust plans the tone and wording the owner used via email was pretty rude. I even tried to call to clear things up but she made it very clear she doesn't do phone calls. I also had a friend who could never get a hold of her for a quote. In the end we were able to work something out and again her artists did a great job but because of the customer service, I won't be recommending her to anyone. I hate to leave a negative review but I feel people should know about a vendor's potential downsides. My advice: get a customer service rep!

to our August 22, 2020 wedding date. They helped coordinate what was needed for different hair and makeup looks, so my bridal party and I were well prepared to get all dolled up for my wedding day. On the day of, Heather and her team of artists took amazing precautions to keep everything spread out and sanitary which my bridal party really appreciated in these uncertain times. They were able to make my bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, and I look fantastic and even better than we originally planned! I loved the journey and outcomes from this team and felt like I could not have asked for anyone better to make me look and feel special on my wedding day! I would highly recommend this team! 10 out of 10 all the way!

Chelsea and Gabi did such an amazing job on my wedding hair and makeup. Chelsea nailed my party pony with lots of fun curls and body. It was exactly what I had dreamed of and more....
Gabi's makeup artistry is incredible. She went with pinks on my eyes, with a smudged line to draw my eyes out, and helped me pair the most perfect lip to complete the look. I really did feel like my best glammed-up self on the day of my wedding, and it really shows through in the pictures. My sisters, mom, and mother-in-law also loved their hair and makeup, and got tons of compliments throughout the night. Some guests even asked for our hair and makeup artists information at the reception for upcoming weddings they are throwing/attending. I am so grateful for Chelsea and Gabi's beautiful work and expertise. Would 100% recommend!!!

etely blew it out of the water. Heather, Chelsea, and Gabby made me and all my girls feel like true queens on my wedding day. My mother in law cried after she saw herself in the mirror from getting her hair and makeup done. The experience we all had was hands down the best. There aren't enough thank you's I can give these ladies for what they did for me and my girls on my wedding day. BOOK them ASAP! This team truly goes above and beyond the make you the most beautiful bride ever. Once again thank you Heather and your amazing team. I'm still swooning from all our looks <3

I am so grateful for Heather and her incredible team for all that they did for my wedding weekend!! I was lucky enough to get my hair and makeup done by Heather and Chelsea for my rehearsal dinner and for my wedding day and they blew me away!! I was impressed from the second I did my makeup trial and then for the weekend of she really pulled out all the stops!! I have never felt more confident and she truly knows what looks best and goes off of what you tell her too which is so important! Besides being amazing at what she does, her and her team are so genuine and great to talk to! It was so fun to have some time to get to know her and Chelsea and I loved every second we got to have some time together getting ready. I joke that I need to just start scheduling big events so I can get back in the chair and hang out with the two of them again LOL To this day I wish I could re do those two looks over and over!
I was initially stressed about hair and makeup, but Heather and her team immediately took the stress away with their professionalism and expertise. Sydnee was my primary artist for...
hair and makeup, with Keara on hair for my bridesmaids. They were both amazing! Sydnee was a joy to spend time with during my trial and on the wedding day. For my trial, she drew inspiration from photos I shared to create a look that really complimented my features. I had engagement photos following the trial, so Sydnee turned my wedding up-do into a lovely half-up, half-down style to keep an element of surprise for my husband.
On our wedding day, Sydnee arrived at the bridal suite bright and early to start on bridesmaids' makeup. I was surprised by the early start time when first seeing the HMUA schedule, however, HVH artists are the experts and the schedule ended up working out perfectly with everyone 100% ready to go when our photographers arrived. I felt like a princess and my bridesmaids and mom all looked stunning! Most of them rarely wear makeup and Sydnee did a wonderful job with natural-looking, photo-ready makeup that had everyone feeling like themselves but extra beautiful. Keara also did a great job on bridesmaids' hair, navigating the different lengths and incorporating baby's breath into each style. Huge plus that our hair and makeup looked beautiful and held through the entire reception. Thank you, Sydnee and Keara, for our day-of glam and to Heather for building such a talented team of artists!
I would highly recommend Heather Van Houten Makeup & Hair. Heather herself is lovely to work with - I live abroad and she made time for an initial phone consultation and was super ...
helpful answering all my questions before booking. She understood my concerns about curly hair - her team has great experience and knowledge dealing with curly hair styling.
I did a trial with her team - and although I was happy with it, she and her team took the photos from it and found ways to improve on an already wonderful job. It's such a sign of a professional to stand back and keep looking for ways to improve your own work - I was so impressed by this!
For my wedding we had Rebekah (hair) and Erika (makeup) - they are both so talented, but also just incredibly lovely people. They brought such a calm, fun vibe to the room while we were getting ready - was just what you wanted on such a big day! I would definitely recommend them for any bride out there.
Sydnee did my make-up for my desert elopement and it looked stunning! I felt exactly how a bride should on her wedding day and at the end of the night I did not want to take "my fa...

My wedding planner suggested HVH for my bridal make-up. I checked out their website as well as their Instagram account. I highly suggest doing this, because they have a great portfolio of their work online and on social media. You will not be disappointed!

On the wedding day, Rebekah and Sydnee were with us to do our hair & makeup and they KILLED IT! My bridesmaids have been in good amount of weddings prior to mine and they all agreed that of all weddings this was the best hair and makeup they ever received. We got married 4 months ago and since then, I've spent 4 months wishing I could have that glow up over and over again. Heather (make-up) and Chelsea (hair) were an absolute dream a...
nd my day wouldn't have been half as glamorous (or perfect) without them. Between calming my nerves, making me laugh or making my bride tribe look and feel fabulous, I would recommend them a thousand times over. After months of stalking her team's work on social media, they were even more personable in real life.
I showed both Heather and Chelsea a picture of what I wanted but still wanted them to make the look like "me." I felt like they both took the time to get to know me and they easily transformed a picture into my perfect wedding look. They made sure I was completely in love with my look and were extremely receptive to feedback on my look.
Heather and Chelsea are professional through and through but also two women I look at as more than vendors. They are boss babes that I can't wait to use for future photo shoots.
If you are getting married in Arizona, I wouldn't recommend any other team than HVH!
