Our wedding photos are beyond stunning, our guests are still raving about the incredible shots, and we are so happy that we chose Heather due to her professionalism and experience. We had seen her portfolio beforehand and knew that we loved her style and work, but there are many ways in which she completely exceeded our expectations: 1. Heather was easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. We had multiple phone calls before even meeting when she listened to our wants and prepared diligently to make them happen! 2. We decided to add a second photographer to our package, and Heather did all the research herself to narrow down options for who she thought would be the best fit for us. She brought these options to us and made the process very easy to select a second shooter which we greatly appreciated! The second shooter did a fantastic job and we were so happy to have them both part of our team! 3. Heather really saved the day on our wedding day by arriving earlier than planned to get some details shots. By doing so, she realized that we had completely forgotten to bring my veil to the venue! Had Heather not arrived early and taken the time to get these shots, we would have realized the mistake too late. We are so thankful for Heather's professionalism and attention to detail! 4. Heather has excellent judgment and an eye for taking advantage of key moments. There were moments throughout our wedding day when we had not planned any photo shoots, but Heather recognized an opportunity and managed to pull us aside for enough time to get gorgeous photos but not so much time that it took away from spending time with our guests. "It's up to you but I think you'll regret not taking a few photos here" - and no surprise, she was completely right! They turned out to be some of our favorites! 5. Inevitably some parts of the day became a bit hectic, particularly as we navigated an Indian fusion wedding, and we were dealing with extreme heat and humidity on the days of our events. We appreciated how Heather used her experience, professionalism, and knowledge to give us solid recommendations that we hadn't thought of, while still respecting our boundaries and wishes and always making sure we felt comfortable! 6. Finally, Heather turned around Sneak Peaks way sooner than expected!!! This was the best surprise! She also provided the full galleries within the time committed to in the contract, further demonstrating her professionalism. The photos were even better than we imagined and we will cherish them forever! Needless to say, we are thrilled to recommend Heather Wise and can't imagine trusting anyone else with these memories.

Heather was amazing. Her experience was very evident on the wedding day as she coordinated so many different people into different groups to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted. The photos turned out beautifully and were delivered on time. I would definitely recommend her.

We found Heather on The Knot but knew immediately that she had worked on 2 prior weddings we attended. She did our engagement photos as well and even though the weather wasn’t the best, she captured some really beautiful shots of us. We had a big multi lingual family she had to direct ant our wedding, and while we haven’t seen the wedding photos, we know they are gonna be great!! Heathers team knows how to work to get stuff done and she was an important collaborator in creating our run of show. When random issues occurred like a staff cutting themselves and bleeding on the floor by our cake before cake cutting pics, Heather jumped into action to help us restage the shot. We had a lot of fun & loved working with her and can’t wait to see the pics!

Heather was everything I imagined for our photographer and more. Upon meeting Heather for our consultation I could tell she was a true professional. She was patient, answered all my questions, and understood my vision. For our engagement photos, she was on board with my ideas and ran around downtown ATX in order to get the photos I envisioned. & they came out perfectly! When it came to the wedding day she stayed calm and knew exactly what to do and say to get us to pose in the perfect ways that truly made my husband and I (and our bridal party) look our best! The pictures she created were fun and unique. I am in love with our gallery and so are our friends. Some even have said "best wedding photos ever!"

I cannot recommend Heather’s work enough!! From our initial interaction, she was so warm and professional and made me and my husband feel extremely comfortable. She is so knowledgeable about posing and what will look best on camera. Both our engagement and wedding pictures were beyond our wildest dreams! Heather was just all-around amazing. From the moment I asked her if she was available for our date, she was nothing but helpful. She assisted with creating a timeline, and didn't try to oversell me on how much time we actually needed her services. We were privileged enough worked with Heather for our wedding on 10/9/21, though we booked her over a year in advance to make sure we could work with her. Heather is an absolute superstar. We love the natural and candid nature of her photography. They feel so genuine and real. We wanted to work with her not only for her wonderful work but also because she is an advocate for all types of love and has experience working with many diverse types of bodies. We loved seeing that in her portfolios. It is so different than most Austin photographers only showing one type of couple. She is an absolute professional and dedicated to her people. She also supplied us with engagement photos which were absolutely breath taking. We also got a printed album book from her which is an amazing quality. The icing on the cake is Heathers price. It is very reasonable, though she could absolutely charge more if she wanted to. We would recommend Heather to anyone and everyone. We could not thank her enough.

Heather was great to work - we booked her over a year out from our wedding and she never made us feel like she’d forgotten about us when we spoke. Heather took our engagement pictures locally in Austin and then traveled to San Antonio for our wedding photos. She was professional and punctual, and while I was initially nervous to book out of town vendors, I never felt I had to worry about her not showing up to our wedding. Her and her second photographer were great on our wedding day and she really understood our desire for efficient photos so that we could enjoy our guests. She worked her magic in the background and got great photos of us, our venue, and our guests!

Heather was an amazing photographer every step of the way. She was easy to get ahold of and promptly responded to messages. She took time to have a Zoom call me with me and reassured me that my photos would turn out well even though I feel like I am not very photogenic. She and her assistant were 100% committed to getting all the shots I wanted and all of the photos turned out beautifully. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

I would highly recommend Heather! She was so incredibly easy to work with and made you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She also had great suggestions for different shots. If you want an independent photographer who guides you throughout your special day and captures everything in the way she sees fit (so you don't have to think about anything), I would definitely consider Heather and her team. And for my wedding, the weather was unfortunately not on our side but all of my photos were amazing! I was worried about the lighting as everything was so dark and gray outside but those outdoor photos were absolutely beautiful and some of my favorites.

I could write a novel about this vendor. She stepped in last minute because she was referred by our photographer who couldn't make it for personal reasons. Heather exceeded my expectations and then went beyond that. She was the perfect person to shoot our wedding, she was on time, fun, had the best poses for us to get into and made our day the best day ever. She also got our photos back to us quickly and really understood what we wanted out of our big day. It's almost like she was meant to be there. Her second shooter - Christine did an amazing job as well. The detail photos and the overall aesthetic from both of them blew me way.

Heather is such an incredibly skilled photographer. Her experience and knowledge showed throughout our wedding day and our photos and I’m so so thankful she was our photographer. She was quick to know where in our venue photos would look their best, and what poses to use. I tend to be awkward in photos but her direction helped me feel confident and look my best! She was also just a genuinely kind, sweet, wonderful person who had a calming presence which really made me feel at ease! My only regret is not having her shoot our engagement photos, but I know if we have life moments to capture in the future we’ll reach out to Heather. Heather was...amazing. She did our engagement pictures as well and we knew after those we had definitely made the right choice. She was great about making sure everyone was where they needed to be during the pictures and also made sure we got all the shots we wanted. She was amazing about maximizing time and walked us through the best poses for each picture. Not only were our photos better than I could have ever hoped for but she got them back to us so quickly. We were able to look over our pictures together on our honeymoon! I have so many pictures to choose from and they’re all perfect. I’m so glad that we had Heather and her assistant there to capture our special day. Heather Wise was fantastic! We had her shoot pictures for the two hours we had reserved the Lincoln Chapel in Georgetown. Two hours was not a lot of time but Heather began taking photos immediately and she did it in a manner that was so casual and professional. Being her first time at the venue too was cool to see her create excellent photo opportunities for us and our families and friends on a whim. She even sent us some cool photo sneak peeks the next morning!

I found Heather after pouring through Austin-based wedding photographers online. I was initially drawn to her for her "moody" aesthetic and the quality of her nighttime photos. I'm so glad I found her! She offers standard packages that are priced very competitively. Heather shout our engagement pics (downtown Austin at sunset) and our wedding day photos (Greenhouse at Driftwood), which she posted on her Facebook page so you can see. We LOVE how they turned out! Great quality but also a high quantity of photos for us to choose from. We get compliments all the time. My husband and I expected the process to be super awkward, and ended up having a lot of fun with each shoot. Heather made us feel very comfortable, yet gave easy-to-follow direction as to how to pose. She was great about incorporating specific locations and angles based on other photo shoots I'd seen (I sent these to her in advance so she could get a sense of our style and plan accordingly). She also let us include our dog (80lb golden retriever) in some of our photos both times, and was super patient with him. On the day of our wedding, she had a second photographer with her (whose name I sadly forgot). Both of them were incredibly kind, laidback yet professional, and genuinely happy to be there with us. At the time Heather was also teaching full time. Understandably she wouldn't respond immediately, but was overall responsive within a day or 2, which worked great for us. She was also able to get our full gallery to us within a few weeks, and even sent us a few initial photos within a few day! There was zero fear that I wouldn't get them or not hear from her again. I'd highly recommend Heather. I'll definitely use her services again for future photo shoots!

We hired Heather to do our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. We couldn't have picked a better person. The photos are the one thing that you have when your wedding is done, kind of important right? With that being said, Heather captured the feeling and essence that was our wedding, and for that we are eternally grateful! Thank you Heather, for making our wedding everything we wanted it to be.

There aren't enough stars for me to give Heather Wise Photography! Heather took my engagement and wedding photos and they are amazing. My friends/family have not stopped talking about them either. Heather is a BOSS lady! She made sure that my husband and I's wishes were taken care of, not what all my family members wanted. She knows what she is doing, and does it fantastically. Her turn around on the pictures was also very quick every time. She genuinely captured the love and happiness on my big day, and I'm so blessed to be able to re-live the day over and over again through her pictures.
