Heatherly Event & Floral Design is a wedding floral company based in Charlotte, NC. Our full-service floral packages offer nature-inspired, ethereal designs, eco-friendly methods, and locally sourced blooms.
For couples who are looking for a floral designer who can maximize their floral budget without compromising overall quality and style. No we don't have minimums. Yes we can repurpose florals. Yes we have a team and a temp-controlled studio. And yes you can lock in your market rates without risking a price hike closer to your wedding date.
Heads Carolina, Tails California: In 2018, we moved to NC from California, where our weekly trips to the lush LA flower marts, designing celebrity parties, and creating trend-forward designs were both educational and inspiring. We've brought that Cali-vibe back to our Carolina roots and we're loving every minute of it!
We know we may not be for everyone or every budget but we are confident that if we do end up working together, you will be pleased with what we create for you because our number one goal is to get to know you so that we may create with you in mind. This is your wedding and it is our job to build out your vision (or help you create one if you don't even know where to start).
We offer an ethereal, bohemian design, and while we focus in detail on your preferences and aesthetic, we find that our happiest clients hire us because they like and value our past work which you can see here, on our website, and on Instagram. We will custom design your wedding with you in mind and are confident that if you trust us as your floral artists, you will get the absolute most out of your experience AND your budget.
As a general rule (some exceptions may apply) we do not combine our work with faux florals, DIY projects or additional florists (whether professional or hobbiest). Please plan to do all your florals and greenery with us.
Please write us a message including your budget (we recommend at least $3k for wedding sizes over 100 guests) so that we can truly understand your needs and goals.
BONUS: We have a background in full-service planning and design, so for us, it's not JUST about your flowers but rather your wedding planning experience as a whole and making sure that your flowers work seamlessly into that plan.
(And, if you're interested, we offer a variety of planning, coordination, and design packages to combine with your floral experience. Though not required, our clients on average save $400 when combining both services)

Absolutely amazing! Has an incredible eye for detail and a passion for real fragrant florals! She made lovely accessories for a shoot of mine and it really made the entire look come together even with her only having a mental image of the outfit I was going to be wearing. I couldn’t be happier with the beautiful work Heather did for my wedding! From start to finish, she exceeded my expectations in every way.
During our initial consultation, Heather was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand my vision and preferences. She offered thoughtful suggestions and insights, making sure every detail was perfectly aligned with the garden party theme of our wedding.

Heather is absolutely fantastic. Very detail oriented and precise. She had great ideas and always took the time to hold frequent meetings and was quick to respond to texts and emails. They are consummate professionals, attentive to details, good communication with very quick response times, and a keen eye and ear to deliver exactly what you had envisioned and more! Heatherly events were our floral designers and wedding planner. They work incredibly hard to deliver exactly what you want. I highly recommend this amazing team to help with your wedding!

Heather has assembled a world class team. From Heather herself, to Dani, Jamie and many many more folks that contributed to creating & executing on our dream wedding. I can’t thank or recommend them enough.
When our wedding plans changed, we asked Heather to do the impossible - plan and design a 150 person wedding in less than 2 months… without sacrificing anything we originally wanted. Little did we know, we hired Wonder Woman.
Heather kept us on track, was responsive and decisive, provided amazing recommendations (best band ever!) and assembled an incredible team to create our perfect wedding.
We were lucky enough to work with Dani for our planning and coordination. She is someone who takes charge of wrangling all of the details and vendors with grace. Dani confidently handled even some of the stickiest situations to execute on a flawless day. She quickly built trust with us and it was FUN to have her with me all day. I felt organized and at ease with Dani at the helm.
Lastly, we had Heatherly for our florals & design as well. Heather and team knocked it out of the park. She is a master of her craft who took my loose ideas and brought them to life. I texted her at 10pm the night before the rehearsal asking for a Hail Mary dream scenario for florals and when I say she overdelivered, that would be an understatement. Heather’s medium is flowers and she is a true artist.
We truly feel lucky they were willing to take on our project and go for the wild ride with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner!

We used Heather and her team for both florals and month of coordination and truly can't say enough amazing things! The florals turned out absolutely beautiful, we received so many compliments from guests about them! I gave Heather full creative control over our altar flowers because I couldn't decide what I wanted, and she delivered above all expectations - even our venue staff were complimenting how amazing it all looked! Heather and her team couldn't have been more helpful on the planning side either - every detail was perfect and exactly what we had discussed, and there were several times they thought of things and handled it before I could even think about it. We were able to fully enjoy the day with zero worries, running around, or constantly checking lists or schedules. Both of our families were blown away by how efficiently everything ran. I can't recommend them enough, and our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them!

Heather's florals are out of this world incredible every. single. time. You can literally see the time and effort she puts into prepping and placing each individual piece to match your vision! Not to mention - she's super fun to work with and never shys away from a challenge! Last minute request? She's on it. Like me and request a bridal bouquet without any of the typical bridal flowers? ... she's got you! Ha! Her designs and whimsical, elegant, and unforgettable. I'll always send brides her way a million times over!

Florals we’re 10000% perfect. Would absolutely hire the floral team again! Upfront transparent pricing. But I’m really struggling with how poorly my day of coordination was executed. Guests continue to comment on how bad it was weeks after. Not a single thing went right during the ceremony after 2 years of planning. The team was not prepared and I ended up having to direct our guests and fix things. Spent cocktail hour crying instead of taking photos with my husband. When we exchanged feedback, Instead of taking accountability, I was blamed for not filling out a single form despite being “the most organized bride to work with”. Heather may have the experience but her team fell short. I don’t look back on my wedding day with fond memories. It keeps me up at night!

It is unfortunate to focus on the negative and place such specific blame when the details involved other vendors and could have been avoided had the proper forms been completed (forms that are actually required by our contract).
We can take accountability (which we did) while still pointing out where and how such easily avoidable errors may have occurred. We were so thrilled to be able to recreate and photograph the omitted ceremony element during cocktail - that's quick action on the part of my team for which I am proud.
We appreciate the floral praise and hope that leaving this review has given you the closure needed to shift focus to what was actually an incredibly beautiful day.

Where to begin - I first found Hetherly when I was looking for a venue for my wedding and was so impressed with Heather and the team that I decided to utilize them for my flowers and event planning. The BEST decision I could have made.
Heather and her team are the consummate experienced professionals, paying close attention to the 1 million details and ensuring nothing fell through the cracks and that I was staying on track with decisions that needed to be made. Heather was great at recommending alternatives to save money while ensuring I was still providing the type of guest experience I was looking for.
WHY YOU NEED TO HIRE AN EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL - Hurricane Ian caused an unanticipated variable the week leading up to the wedding, but Heather and the team flawlessly planned to ensure no matter the weather situation, we had a solid plan in place that would ensure the best experience possible. I was so thankful to have them...and I know they were working around the clock to ensure we were prepared, no matter the scenario. We got to have our Plan A experience, and regardless of the potential for pivoting the week leading up, her team executed on my wedding day like they knew Plan A was going to happen the entire time. They are consummate professionals that you WANT when unanticipated stressors (like hurricanes!) pop up.
The flowers. THE FLOWERS..beyond all expectations and the most beautiful I have ever seen. Heather listened to what I was looking for and created an alter design, bouquets, and table arrangements beyond anything I could have hoped for. I received so many compliments and still dream about the coffee-colored roses and tulips. I would give the floral design 5 stars on its own.
I could go on and on and on about the design, the vendor recommendations, the staff, etc. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and hire Heatherly Event and Floral Design, you will be so thankful you did.

Choosing Heather and her team for florals and month of coordination was easily the best decision my husband I made for our wedding planning. They were AMAZING! The flowers were absolutely dreamy and even better than I imagined. I worked closely with Daniella and let me tell you.. she is a ROCKSTAR. She literally thought of everything and was on top of every single detail. I couldn’t have done it without her. My bridesmaids are still raving about how amazing she was too. If you are still deciding on who to hire for florals and / or coordination, do yourself a favor and hire Heatherly and her team!!

Heather and her team did an absolutely incredible job on creating a floral wonderland for my daughter's wedding. They listened to the bride's vision and designed a wedding wonderland. The bouquets, the tablescapes, the aisle gardens and the other touches were perfect. What a wonderful experience.

Heather did the most beautiful and amazing work on my wedding florals. These were the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen in my life. Something out of a magazine or a movie. I could genuinely feel and see that she took so much time and effort to create these beautiful pieces for us. Everything felt so intentional and carefully crafted and placed but it also felt so natural and whimsical. It takes a true artist to do what Heather did and my husband and I are so grateful for her part in the best day of our lives!! 10000/10 stars!!!

Heather and her team did an amazing job with the florals for our wedding. She was able to take some general ideas I had and create some gorgeous pieces. Communication with her and her team was also easy and efficient. I could not have loved my bouquets, altar pieces, or centerpieces more, and they tied the whole look of the wedding together!

I hired Heather as my florist, and immediately wished I could go back in time and hire her to help me with my whole event. She is fantastic. I had no idea what I was doing, and she went above and beyond to help turn my chaotic ideas into something that was beautiful and elegant, but still full of personality. Heather is patient, meticulous, thoughtful, but most of all, is a gifted artist. It was such a joy to work with someone who clearly loves what they do, and I wish I had another event to plan just so I could work with her again. 10/5 stars. You'd be an idiot not to hire her.

For my Wedding Part 1 - Micro ceremony, Heather did an amazing job on my bouquet and my husband's bout! I requested a TON of COLOR. And she DELIVERED!! I know I'm biased, but I think she made me the most gorgeous bouquet of all time. She carefully chose all of the flowers & reviewed everything with me ahead of time. Excellent communication & customer service. Especially with everything going on right now!
I cannot wait until she does all my flowers for Wedding Part 2 next year!!!

The flowers were AMAZING. When Heather and team brought me my bouquets I was literally speechless, they kept asking me where they should place them and I couldn't think straight because they were so beautiful. Heather was very great to work with, she took into consideration everything I liked and then would throw her own ideas in to make something truly unique. I am so incredibly happy we decided to hire Heather and her team for our wedding day! I can't even begin to sing enough praises! We hired her as our day-of coordinator as well as our florist! I fully believe our wedding day would've looked completely different without her! Heather was so responsive during the planning process, offering advice and opinions anytime I asked (which was frequently!). Even through the COVID obstacle, Heather made the process so smooth and enjoyable. She executed the exact vision even better than I could've imagined. The florals on the tables were perfect, as was the floral installment on a tree at our altar! Don't get me started on the bridal and bridal party bouquets! They were straight out of a magazine!
On the day of our wedding, Heather and her team were always checking in on us to ensure everything was running smoothly. They were prepared and incredibly helpful! During photos and reception, we were consistently taken care of, whether it was putting a drink in an empty hand or finding us for one last set of photos, they were organized, kind, and genuine! Their goal was very clearly to make our day perfect, and they succeeded! There are not enough nice words to say! I would recommend Heather and her team time and time again!

I hired Heatherly Event Design for my wedding flowers, and boy am I glad I did. We are a COVID couple, and not only did Heather and team work with us when we needed to modify our date, Heather was beyond helpful in making my floral dreams come true. Heather understood exactly what I was looking for based on descriptions and Pinterest pics and improved on each design to make it my own. The final product was stunning and looked like it was out of a magazine, seriously our wedding flowers were gorgeous! I cannot express how incredible Heather and her team are. It rained most of our wedding day, but her team stayed out in the rain to make sure our wedding arch was decorated to perfection. And it was perfect! Luckily, the sun broke through and we were able to be married outside under our gorgeous arch. Everyone raved about our flowers and I cannot recommend Heather more highly! Hire her, and you will not be disappointed!

Heather was wonderful! I sent her photos and YouTube videos of what I wanted and she did exactly it! the flowers were amazing and we got to donate all of them to a retirement gome, white oak of waxhaw. she was always easy to get into contact with and just made the wedding so lovely! I forgot some charms on my wedding bouquet and she mailed them straight to me!

Hiring Heather was the best decision we ever made throughout our wedding planning process. Initially, we hired Heather as our day of planner and of course, florals. About three months in I quickly realized I was in over my head and needed some additional planning help, so we hired Heather full-time. Within a week I knew we had made the best decision of our entire planning process. Everyone from our parents, to our entire bridal party commented on how amazing Heather was. I truly don't have the words to express how grateful and appreciative we are for the work Heather put into our wedding...from the planning down to the incredible floral design she put together. From last minute floral changes to rain plan discussions Heather was there 110% making sure our day went perfectly. On-site the day of the wedding, she was a Queen in her element. I would choose Heather all over again without hesitation!! I wasn't sure if my floral vision had been done before. And if it had, I couldn't find pictures to show what I could see in my head! But Heather took all the pictures I did send her and mixed elements perfectly! Her work was better than anything I had ever imagined, all while fitting in our budget! She was so flexible in adding and changing elements even up to a week before our wedding, and she did so without complaint and always with excitement! Heather is the type of florists who makes you enjoy the small details!

During planning, I will admit that I was concerned whether we were communicating our floral vision adequately and whether Heather’s proposal and floral plans matched our vision.
On the days of the rehearsal dinner and wedding, all my concerns were proven unfounded. Heather went above and beyond and created a floral wonderland. I don’t know how she did it and within budget. She was so helpful, even jumping in to help place favors at each place setting. She was such a calming and caring presence and confidently and quietly worked tirelessly in the background. All of the guests commented on the flowers and decor. Her knowledge of flowers, color and season availability, durability, etc. was amazing.
I would highly recommend Heather for any event and know that I will, without a doubt, recommend her to all my friends and family. I am sure I will use her again for an event in the future.

One of my favorite parts of my wedding were my florals. Heather did such a great job transforming my loose vision into my favorite part of the day. We just got married in Asheville, NC and Heather did an absolutely incredible job with all of our floral arrangements!! The bridal bouquet was stunning and the matching bridesmaids bouquets and boutonnières perfectly complemented the wedding attire. Our venue had a cool archway that I asked Heather to help decorate and we had guests lined up throughout the night getting pictures with Heather's gorgeous flowers. She was so responsive and paid immense attention to each and every little detail. It was so reassuring to know I had nothing to worry about on the big day and that Heather would make everything look absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend using Heather as your wedding day florist!!

Heather simply knocked it out of the park!!! We could not have been more impressed by her work; the bouquets that Heather designed for me and my bridesmaid were simply stunning and beyond what I envisioned! They played up our romantic, dreamy theme perfectly and were just so soft and lovely. The trailing ribbons she added were the perfect touch. My husband and I kept saying that whoever was holding the bouquet for the photos instantly looked better ;) Also, Heather thought of absolutely everything. She made 3 boutonnieres for my husband so he could pick which one he liked best and also have backups for later in the day because bouts often get squished during first look pictures. I never would have thought of that, but it was SO nice that Heather did! She is so professional and talented and I would recommend her in a heartbeat! Not to mention that she and her team are the sweetest! Can't say enough good things!!

Best wedding choice out of everything was seriously hiring Heather! She and her team were so wonderful to work with! She accomplished a crazy amount of work, catered to our budget, and was flexible at a moment's notice. She was our florist, coordinator, set up our decor, among other things. Everything was beautiful and we received so many compliments! I don’t know what we would have done for without her. Our wedding day was better than I imagined and stress-free thanks to her.

Heather saved my wedding. I had cancelled my previous date last minute, due to a hurricane. We rescheduled later in the year, and Heather came in amazing ideas! The floral design changed the color scheme from a summer wedding to a fall wedding, and still worked perfectly with the bridesmaid dresses. She nailed it. She was affordable especially considering how amazing the flowers turned out. I would 100000% recommend her for your wedding or event!

We used Heather for our florist as well as day of coordiantor . We were SO happy with all of our florals and she made our day run so smoothly. She also was great about helping me brainstorm and pulled inspiration photos together before the big day. She totally got the look I was going for and Matt and I could not have been happier.
