The stylist was excellent! She was young and fun and full of things to say. I loved that she took the time to ask what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. We worked together to polish the final look and she did a wonderful job. I got an ai...r brush which lasted well into the night and looked flawless.
Management on the other hand was a much different experience. I was warned before having a Cape Cod wedding that Cape Cod vendors run on island time..... Well, apparently good customer service is out the window as well... I submitted an email through their website and had some communication with the salon. Just before we were ready to sign the contracts the manager stopped responding. I felt like I was in the dark about the total cost and was not given instructions. About 2 weeks before the wedding, the owner called to verify the names of each of the girls and services. She sounded a bit unprepared to take 5 girls and must have been trying to figure out her employee schedule. She sounded totally unware of any of the plans that had already been discussed with the manager prior to her call. She told me she's have to call me back..... But never did. Meanwhile my anxiety levels went pretty high as I started to reach out to other make up artists etc if the owner wasn't able to accommodate all of us..... 5 days went by and I finally called the store and spoke with the manager who told me the times of each persons appointments....needless anxiety.
Lastly, my stylist gave me a tour of the place when I got my trial done. They have massage and pedicure/manicure etc. A one stop shop and a brides dream, But....
The week before the wedding I tried to book a massage for my then fiancé who hurt his back, the manager told me her masseuse was "on call" and would need to call me back..... But never did (see the pattern developing here?).
I got a "quick pedicure" from a young woman who did not look me in the face more than twice throughout the apppointment.... She also behaved and seemed like working was the very last place she wanted to be. She chatted with her coworker and literally ignored and seemed annoyed by me. The paint chipped after a week because she only applied one layer of color. There was also clear polish all over my toes... I have never seen someone apply polish the way she did... Almost placing a dollop of clear polish on each toe and shmearing it around LOL. Thankfully I wore closed-toes shoes to the wedding.
Like I said.... Be prepared! Just get hair and make up and skip the rest.
