Once the private residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbar Hedrick, the home was honored in Architectural Digest in 1963 for its innovative midcentury modern style. After being dedicated to the City of Lewisville in 1987, the property was reimagined as a gathering place and event facility. A $3 million renovation was completed in 2023, restoring the home’s original architectural character while enhancing it with modern comforts, expanded spaces, and accessibility upgrades. The venue features flexible indoor and outdoor event areas ideal for ceremonies, receptions, and special occasions. The main living space, expanded to host up to 125 guests, boasts clean lines, warm materials, and expansive windows that frame views of the surrounding landscape. My wedding was about 100ish people . we all fit comfortably inside the building for the reception, and getting ready in the dressing rooms. The kitchen was the perfect size. The building and outside area were perfect to decorate and make my own...

t this place if someo e tells you about it more than likely. It feels like a small lodge with all the amenities. Again, about the only things I would do here are just like I said, small children's parties and gatherings for food and cakes. There is a sizable dance area for people to move about and jump around. We used this house for my daughters sweet sixteen and it was a success. This place provided the perfect setup. Give it a shot and take extra care in the planning of your event. We had a midnight curfew which was good for the kids.
