Jovel discovered his musical abilities at a young age when he began playing drums. He has an extensive repertoire of music that spans the 1970s to the 2000s, and he now produces his own songs. With Jovel’s passion, energy, and ability to engage a crowd, couples and their guests are sure to be dancing throughout the night.
Hefbeats serves events throughout the Washington, DC area, and also events out of state like Florida and Pennsylvania. Hefbeats takes a personalized approach to each wedding, offering custom timeline planning, music selection, lighting, and MC services. He uses professional equipment for the best quality sound and is available to perform during ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.

I definitely recommend him! He encourages you to provide as much detail as possible on the app, especially when it comes to the songs you want. He also offers extras like a photo booth, smoke effects for the first dance, extra lighting, and even different color options for the DJ setup (black or white).

ovel what we were looking for tonally. On the wedding day he took the music we had suggested and had it fit perfectly. I got so many complements from the tunes during dinner hour and the choices during the dancing. I thought my group would not be out on the dance floor but he made it happen and they had the best time!
Most of, I am so appreciative of how Jovel, understood that we needed to make many last minute choice (even just before the ceremony and throughout the day) because of the weather. He was a complete pro and moved with those changes easily and effortlessly.

ats is the professional DJ you want. Secured Hefbeats services for my wedding in February 2022 and he was phenomenal. He was able to adopt to last minute changes, followed up with me on my music selection, provided guidance and insight on songs for various performances throughout the wedding reception. He arrived when he stated he would, followed and stayed on time to the timeline that was presented to him but most of all besides being a professional he was FUN. He understood what I wanted and was very personal and got my humor. It was like having my favorite brother and/or cousin with me on my very special day. I plan on using him for all my future events.
