try Shoppe for a tasting after it had been recommended by several friends and colleagues, and we were treated with such respect and kindness! We called ahead to pick out the flavors that most interested us. They set up our own table (complete with a “wedding tasting” sign), a massive binder of almost all their cake designs they have done in the past, and three huge multi-layer slices of cake of our choices. The woman taking care of us was attentive but allowed us to take our time and discuss our opinions; she answered all our questions and was extremely patient! A few weeks leading up to the wedding, the bakery was flexible in changing the sizes and décor of the cake. The day of, the cake was delivered with no issue and everyone RAVED about it! We decided on almond cake with raspberry jam with spice cake with apricot jam; both of those layers were a hit, and even months after the wedding, people still talk about how great that cake was! My husband and I now get all special event cakes there! An amazing bakery that was highly recommended by several people that makes fantastic cakes with exceptional service and great pricing….this is a must for a great wedding!

ny so we were beyond excited to find a German/European pastry shop in the area that does wedding cakes! We met with Yetim who is super sweet and helpful and had a tasting at the shop. We chose a design and they created it based on our specifications. The cake was delivered on time and it looked absolutely wonderful. We got many compliments on it and how good it was! Several people at our wedding told us they usually don’t expect much from wedding cake, but that ours was delicious! We definitely recommend Heidelberg to anyone for any event and we will be returning just to treat ourselves to their yummy pastries!

We ended up ordering 6 different combos split amongst 4 tasters. They reserved a table for us and brought us complimentary coffee and tea. It was soooo busy in there on a Saturday, but it was as if we were the only clients in the place. They have a huge book filled with different designs, or you can create your own. We ended up ordering a large 3-layer with different layers plus a Black Forest groom's cake. It was hard to choose because every flavor was amazing, the cake was very moist, and the frosting and fillings were delicious. Yetim also helped us customize the design to match our cake topper. She was extremely patient and a lovely person to work with. We knew we made the right choice when we had at least 3 different people stop by our little table to congratulate us and tell us how great the cake was going to be!

rcream frosting was the best we've ever had. They gave us plenty of time to sample several of their favorite combinations and offered to create any others we'd like to try. The owner, Klaus, walked us through the entire process of designing our cake.
The cake arrived on time as planned on our wedding day and looked exactly as we imagined. All of our guests raved about the cake and went back for more. Klaus was very professional throughout the entire process, from the moment we met him to the delivery of the cake. The price was amazing for a four tier cake.
Once you go in for a tasting, you won't want to look any further!

e (white on white with rasperry jam) plus a large sheetcake (chocolate cake with hazelnut mousse) for my 260-guest wedding. I heard from many guests that it was the absolute best wedding cake they've ever had. The chocolate cake was the clear winner.
They were a little annoying to work with on the decor, as they won't place flowers on your cake. Luckily my venue did it for me later so it all worked out. Overall, highly highly recommend Heidelburg!

My only complaints are that it took a few times to communicate my special request over the phone to them (someone didn't write my message down or put in with my cake file the first time) and they didn't provide a box for the top tier of the cake. My venue luckily found a somewhat suitable box from the kitchen and used that to give me my top tier.
