Heirloom surpassed all of our expectations. From their initial proposal, to the creative ideas for drinks before the ceremony, their signature cocktails and passed apps, and delicious dinner entrees, everything was incredible. Multiple guests have come up to me since our January wedding and shared that the food at my wedding was the best wedding food they'd ever had!! Vicky and her team are the best.

We wanted to say THANK YOU. Everything was perfect, and you helped us make our dream wedding a reality. Everything was precisely delivered to plan from the beginning to the end: getting the venue, tasting, the floor plan and flow, linens, flowers, set up, etc... The wedding day could not have been better. I don't know where to start: The service? It was outstanding and excellent. The food? INCREDIBLE, DELICIOUS, 5 STAR; Everyone is still raving about how they loved the food, and the display was AMAZING. Professional? Heirloom Team was excellent; their captain took care of my husband and me and made sure we were taken care of. I could not be any happier with their services. Again, THANK YOU, we appreciate the excellent job Heirloom did, and we will always use you and refer you to anyone in need of a caterer. You guys rock!!

Heirloom is FANTASTIC!!  Words honestly can't do them justice.  I'm the type of bride that did extensive, exhaustive research of DMV's top-tier caterers before booking - I mean, truly exhaustive.  In the end, we debated between DC's historically top catering company (which we found to be amazing too but slightly old-fashioned and not as creative/inventive) and Heirloom.  And I am SO happy with our decision!!  We've now used Heirloom 3 times for 3 very different events -- for our rehearsal dinner, our wedding, and recently for a small company dinner party at our house!   The food has been fantastic, delicious, and beautifully presented every single time.  They go above-and-beyond not only with the quality of the food, but also with the presentation.  The food was so tasty at our rehearsal dinner and wedding that our guests still talk about it (and at our recent small dinner party, the guests were blown away at how good the food was - several asked me which catering company we used)!  As someone who has gone to a lot of weddings and has had a lot of bland/mediocre wedding food, I can tell you that Heirloom's food = standout.  It is truly THAT delicious -- fresh/seasonable ingredients, perfect seasoning, and elevated recipes.  We LOVED the personalized menus, which centered around an elevated crab boil for our rehearsal dinner, and a whimsical garden dinner party for our wedding.  The presentation is better than you can even imagine -- inventive, colorful, expertly plated.  Which speaks perfectly to the incredible women behind Heirloom - Vicky and Lindsay.  They are FANTASTIC - brilliant, talented, fun, down-to-earth.  You instantly feel like they're family and like you've known them your whole life.  They are excellent communicators, easy to work with, and hyper detail-oriented.  On the days of our events, they took charge and ran the show, ensuring that everything was done beyond perfection (perfection isn't good enough for them!).  Prior to our wedding, Lindsay was so helpful in picking out our place settings, decor, and serving ware (I think the photos speak for themselves) and during the wedding events, Heirloom's waitstaff was top top notch - so kind, helpful, and on point the entire evenings.  I really can't recommend (nor thank) them enough and plan to use Heirloom for many more events as we have future dinner parties and life cycle events.  Heirloom = our caterers for life!

Heirloom was fantastic to work with for our wedding over Labor Day weekend. We wanted to do stations and cocktail-style seating at River Farm and they came in at a reasonable price and everything was delicious! The most comments we received after our wedding from family and friends was about the food, everyone loved the stations and the hors d'oeuvres. We knew it would be amazing after our tasting and were excited about their "stylish bites" (hors d'oeuvres) because not only were the so delicious, they were so well presented and made it fun for our guests. Lindsay was great to work with - always calm and handled my various questions thoroughly and with ease. I definitely recommend them for not only creative food and styling but absolutely delicious food!

Heirloom did a phenomenal job catering our wedding! The food was absolutely delicious, filling, and personalized to our tastes. The cocktails and mini desserts (which we did in lieu of a cake) were also amazing! Lindsay and her team were so wonderful to work with. They even made sure that my husband and I got a plate of appetizers and our signature cocktail so we didn't miss out while taking photos during cocktail hour. Since we were planning our wedding from California, we also used Heirloom's design service for our floral and decor needs. They did an absolutely beautiful job making our vision come true. Having one vendor in charge of so many aspects made planning our wedding from across the country so much less stressful. We cannot recommend Heirloom enough!

Heirloom is a team of incredible women who make magic happen. Their food is outstanding, but their customer service, attention to detail (hello, personalized menus), and presentation make them the best. Our guests are still raving about the food. We hosted our wedding at Dock5-Union Market, which is a blank canvas (read: empty warehouse) and Vicky was able to transform it in a way that reflected our style while guiding us with her professional advice. She truly made our wedding vision a reality. Vicky stuck with us through the pandemic and was graciously flexible with us throughout, and ensured that we had our dream wedding in the end. Heirloom’s food is absolutely unforgettable, and it was that excellent food in combination with thoughtful and perfectly executed service that made our reception so enjoyable. We wanted to do family style and create a sense of warmth throughout the warehouse space and they nailed it - two long kings tables, assorted ceramic serving platters, the bistro lighting, moody candles… everything! The menu options we found with Heirloom and the creativity in both the dishes themselves but also the presentation convinced us - and we are so glad we did! Vicky also personally checked in on us throughout the evening and made sure we got to have every single delicious thing being served! It’s been several weeks since our wedding and our guests still talk about “the best wedding food they have ever had”! But it was not just the food and menu design, as we decided some months down the planning process to also entrust Vicky and her Team to handle the design aspects of the wedding. The planning process was comfortable and collaborative, and we loved the ideas that Vicky introduced to take our vision and turn it into reality. We loved working with Vicky and the Heirloom Team and could not imagine our wedding, after what felt like years of planning, without them!

My husband and I got married April 24th 2021. Heirloom was the best choice we could have made when it came to our wedding food. The quiz we took before they created the menu with the options for our tasting was so great! I love how personalized everything was. They had options for dishes that were special to Pat and me and made sure we loved everything at our tasting. Not only was the food great but Vicky and Lindsay could not have been nicer. Vicky made sure I got to try one of each app at our wedding and checked in on us regularly during dinner. I can't say enough about the two of these amazing ladies! We LOVE Heirloom so much!

Heirloom was extremely helpful when we had to postpone our May 2, 2020 wedding. They stuck with us and catered our wedding on May 8, 2021. The food and styling was everything we wanted and even more than we ever imagined. Everything was absolutely delicious- all our guests were impressed with the level of detail Heirloom put into everything. We can’t recommend them enough!

Vicky, Lindsay, and the Heirloom team are extremely responsive, professional, and easy to work with! The food was wonderful and the staff was exceptional. I wasn't able to get to DC during the pandemic so I hadn't seen the venue, tasted the food, or met Vicky until the day of my daughter's wedding. I needn't have worried - everything was perfect :)

I cannot express how amazing Heirloom is. We knew they were incredible caterers when we attended our friends wedding in DC in 2019 and loved the food and so many of the thoughtful presentation and decor details. We knew we had to book them for our wedding which was supposed to take place in the Spring of 2020. Rescheduling our date, changing venues and planning a wedding during a pandemic has had its many ups and down. We had to revise the entire wedding. Heirloom and their team were there for our every thought, question and need. And ultimately created the most beautiful, delicious and memorable day for us. Planning a wedding for my daughter during a pandemic has been a nightmare, but the support I have received from Vicky and Lindsay at Heirloom Catering has been invaluable. We have been all over the map with changes in venue and rescheduling, but Vicky and Lindsay have been right there with us all the way. While the big celebration had to be postponed for a year, Heirloom helped us create a magnificent small gathering for immediate family. They created a fantastic menu and everyone raved about the food. The staff member who did the set-up, serving and clean-up was phenomenal. I've never seen anyone work harder or be more meticulous. We re-scheduled our wedding for a 2nd time - due to Covid - and the restrictions on our venue. We moved from D.C. to VA and had to change many aspects of our wedding but knew we wanted to celebrate with out friends and family and those comfortable in attending an outdoor celebration. Heirloom and their team (especially Vicky & Lindsay!) were nothing short of incredible. They seamlessly handled the changes, were gracious yet straightforward and they helped us remain positive in a time that was a little difficult to not be a little sad. Thank you so much Heirloom! Oh yeah, and the food was EXCELLENT and the type of food you would find at a modern but super cozy Michelin restaurant, service impeccable and generally the whole process was spot on and managed our expectations and all the things that came up in between perfectly. Our heart goes out to the small businesss that covid devastated and we can't thank Heirloom enough for sacrificing so much to continue helping us get to our wedding day!

Heirloom came highly recommended by close friends so we had no doubt they were who we wanted to cater our wedding. Lindsay and Vicky were insightful, creative, and great to work with. They answered all of our questions and concerns with great care and when we had to alter our plans a bit due to COVID they were professional and accommodating. Heirloom catered a wedding I attended a couple of years ago and I recall it being some of the best wedding food I had ever had. So it was a no-brainer to ask Heirloom to bid on my daughter's wedding. No surprise, they had the strongest bid of the three caterers we considered, and the food at my daughter's wedding lived up to our high expectations. From start to finish, the dishes were inventive and beautifully prepared and presented. Our guests raved about it. And the servers were really good about making sure that the members of the wedding party were promptly served food and drinks; we felt very pampered.

Heirloom catered our wedding last weekend. In addition to delicious and plentiful food, the menu was comletely custom to our tastes and dreams! We shirked traditional steak and salmon choices and instead had a gorgeous mediterranean family style dinner party. It was perfect! The food and styling was everything we wanted and even more than we could have imagined! We loved the food we got to try, and we have heard only rave reviews from all of our friends and family! Heirloom outdid itself and our expectations!

Heirloom catered my wedding in September of 2018 in Washington, DC and did a FABULOUS job. My favorite thing about Heirloom is that in addition to being a caterer, they really are stylists too and help your wedding vision come to life. Heirloom took the time to understand the reception style I was trying to achieve and made sure that every little food and décor detail (the color of the carrots served at dinner, the way the napkins were folded, etc.) aligned with the overall look & feel. Many guests and the wedding planner (!) raved about the reception and commented on how beautiful it was. Also, the food was delicious! Vicky and Lindsay were both very hands on throughout the whole process and patient in answering the many questions I had along the way. At one point I was even asking them about the color of my flowers and they happily discussed that with me. They really have wedding/event planning down to a science and know exactly what they're doing. I'll definitely use Heirloom for future events and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with Heirloom could not have been better. Lindsay and Vicky were so accommodating throughout the entire process, and quickly designed an entire menu based off our personal tastes and the theme we were looking to develop. Not only was the food absolutely AMAZING, the process was easy and transparent. While planning a wedding is a complicated process, Lindsay and Vicky helped us avoid the stress that generally surrounds the catering decisions. Their presentation and service of each food item was impeccable, and I would highly recommend them for anyone getting married or hosting an event in the DC-metro area. All of our guests raved about the quality and look of everything they served. Our sample tasting with them allowed us to ask questions and receive suggestions from extremely experienced and capable individuals. I would give them a 6th star if I could!

It is hard to imagine not having Heirloom DC as part of our wedding. Without them, Lauren and I feel our wedding would not have been a fractions of the successful and joyous occasion it had been. From the beginning, Vicky and her team were far above and beyond any other (catering) vendor we had been in contact with. Communicative and helpful along the way. We knew what to expect next and they helped us stay the course while guiding us along the way to make sound decisions that were both meaningful to us and our families, as well as made sense overall. And importantly for Lauren & I, they made sure all our grandiose plans and details made sense and could work logistically. They even helped refine and evolve those plans. We knew the food and presentation would be unparalleled. They are a world above others which is the main reason we were drawn to them. We were even more delighted when we felt and saw that they are true experts on the service component and all the details in between. We never thought a wedding would be quite the undertaking it was! Working with Heirloom was the highlight of our wedding planning! We knew from our first conversation with Vicky that we would be in great hands. She listened to our vision, providing invaluable knowledge and styling guidance along the way (her eye is unmatched!). THE FOOD was spectacular! We worked closely with them to create a menu which included items that were very special to not only us, but our families and guests as well. From the tiny tacos paired with mini margaritas, reflective of our first and many trips to Mexico, to the custom sangria bar, a nod to my sangria-loving grandma, she thought of it all! We knew we wanted something fun and interactive for the dinner portion, so we chose to have stations available for our guests. These are not your typical (boring) "pasta bar" type stations, and included themed food and decor elements like nothing we had ever seen at a wedding before. The staff was attentive, always making sure we both had a drink in our hands, and so professional. I HIGHLY recommend that you contact Heirloom for any catering needs. We will be using them for many years to come!!

I had been insta stalking Heirloom DC for quite some time. I ended up hiring them for a work event. I had already been obsessed but after working with them, I was just hooked and knew I needed to have them cater my wedding. They are just different from other caterers and I had been working with some of the biggest caterers in DC for years. Long story short, they are worth every penny. The food is unique, but good unique...food you already love with creative twists. The way they present their food is creative, modern but completely worked for serving a big crowd. Our wedding was 180 people with a ton of food at a Historical venue in DC that had a ton of restrictions. We did a cocktail hour with several stations which were styled to the nines by Heirloom's team. Followed by a seated dinner which was a combo of french service and plated. It's hard to put how awesome they are into words. Basically Heirloom is the bees knees. Not only during our wedding or because the food was good but because throughout the process they were communicative and direct (Lindsay & Carly are awesome!) and I knew nothing would get missed....and it didn't! The catering was my favorite part of the whole wedding process! All the feels for Heirloom DC <3

We had a nontraditional wedding in that we hosted a cocktail-style party at my parents' house after a small courthouse ceremony. Heirloom immediately understood not only the vibe we were going for but was able to work with the small space and created a menu that reflected both our likes! Everyone I worked with was amazing from Vicky handling the layout and event design to the on-site coordinators setting up the food stations and all of the waiters passing the food. It is because of Heirloom that our wedding was such a fun and memorable night!

Let me start out by saying that outside of picking food, my husband and I really wanted no part in wedding planning after we got engaged. The whole process seemed overwhelming at best, and we had no idea where to start. At the same time, we wanted our wedding reception to reflect us as a couple, and for all of our friends and family to have a great time. I had known Vicky since middle school and was a frequent at her family's restaurant in Springfield, so I was thrilled to find out that she has started her own catering and event styling company. From the moment we hired Vicky and her team, they just got it. We sent a few Pinterest pictures and discussed our love for Southern food, and Vicky really took it from there. She knew exactly what we were envisioning with little to no direction. Literally everything that the Heirloom team put together, starting with the personal tasting for my husband and parents, to the flower arrangements, tablescapes and small details was nothing short of amazing. The entire staff was completely professional and never missed a beat. I should also mention that there was a pretty bad ice storm the morning of our wedding, which apparently flipped one of the catering trucks and left other vendors stranded, only hours before our event. Vicky sprung into action and not only made sure that everything was on time and in perfect condition, I didn't even HEAR about the whole ordeal until after the night was over. I truly don't think we would have even had a wedding had we hired any other company. Seriously, if you want the BEST FOOD (we STILL have people raving about it to us) and the most beautiful event you've ever hosted-look no further!! Heirloom DC is worth their weight in gold!!

Heirloom DC catered my wedding and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They created a menu tweaked to the style we were looking for, classic with modern elegance, and even created an item that was so special to me and Brian.
