Heirloom Farm Venue

members are breathing down your neck CONSTANTLY with their long rule book. There was no privacy whatsoever. -The venue informed us that we couldn’t take pictures after 5pm, which everyone knows is the best time to take pictures. And almost ruined the brides plans for her pictures on her wedding day!!! -You had to walk all the way across the farm to get to a bathroom, risking the groom seeing the bride anytime she had to use the restroom. -The wedding party was accused of so many things, like bringing in glass bottles, smoking in the rooms, stains on their old carpet, stains on a “pink rug”, drinking outside of the bride and grooms room?? AND breaking a centerpiece during the reception… That THEIR FAN blew over, which hit one of the bridesmaids dad in the head. The wedding party was accused of “excessive dirtiness”, which a lot of people stayed behind to help clean up ( they were rushed to leave!!) -We were told we would have 3 warnings before the security deposit was cashed. Not a single person in the wedding party was ever informed of a single warning. Not to mention, they waited a week and a half later to cash this $500 check. -The bride and grooms suites (more like a pig pen with no windows and smelt like the inside of a horses back side when we got there) were LOCKED during the wedding, and the tiny window unit (probably 20 yrs old) was turned off, making the rooms absurdly hot. -There were multiple bridesmaids with young children who struggled to stay cooled off already in the tiny rooms, with 10+ people in them. One of them, even having to get a family member to come get their child so that it could cool off. -Also, get your own caterer! They tried to serve us shredded chicken sitting in water for tacos. Everyone who ate them woke up sick the next day. -They also hire “undercover security” to come and sit- which means two random people sitting awkwardly at your wedding taking up seats for YOUR guests, making people uncomfortable. Moral of this review, save your money and put it toward something that will actually make your wedding day enjoyable, not rob you of your money and treat you like a fly on the wall.

g at this particular location I’ve had a negative experience with. As a bride you imagine your wedding day to be the most beautiful and enjoyable day of your life & the owners & staff at this venue TWICE now have made both experiences for these brides miserable to say the least. They are hovering and watching your every move with an entire page of rules that make no sense especially for the location of the venue and it also being mostly outside. Every person we encountered that was a member of the staff was rude & judgmental. The wedding was in early May just as temperatures are starting to rise and they had a single tiny air conditioning unit in a fairly large room for 10+ people to get ready in. The hair and makeup team had to spend valuable time allotted for getting everyone ready to try and find a staff member to replace batteries in very dim battery operated lights above the hair & makeup tables & ultimately had to leave the door open to get ready to try and have decent lighting as there were no windows in the brides suite & after 2 hours a staff member brought a ring light. I am a mother who breastfeeds and had to bring my four month old baby with me on this day and my baby was overheating and red the entire time until a family member finally had to come pick them up. The restroom in the getting ready suites was out of order and the entire party had to walk across the entire property in order to use the restroom and risk the groom seeing the bride before she was ready. The trash can the facility provided leaked onto the carpet and a small stain we tried our hardest to remove with what we could was left on a rug and accusations of the wedding party stealing equipment from the venue and breaking a centerpiece that their fan knocked over during the reception that MULTIPLE witnesses saw as there’s was not a single person in the vicinity of the item knocked over in turn left the bride and groom out of a $500 damage deposit. Everyone was out on a very strict timeline of when things could be done set by the venue. The bride was unable to get photos she had a vision for at sunset because the venue wouldn’t allow the photographer to take photos outside after 5pm. This is all to account for one of the wedding I’ve been a part of here there’s a whole list of things I could write an entire separate review on based on the other wedding alone. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this venue to anyone and truly saddens me to say such negative things about a small business in my hometown, but the staff truly made what was supposed to be the best day of their lives a nightmare.

Bride/grooms suites were extremely hot and cheaply furnished. We were accused of stealing their coolers out of the bride/grooms suite. The lighting in the bride suite was very minimal. No windows, we had to find 2 ring lights in order to have our makeup done. Their fans in the barn knocked over a centerpiece during our reception and we were left to pay for those. Even though we never touched them. Security was a joke. We were required to pay for 2 off duty cops for security guards and ended up only having 1. We have not seen a refund for that. Lastly, the owners of this venue are very unorganized and scatter brained. We paid for them as a day of coordinator in hopes to take stress off the bride and groom. This was nothing short of a waste of money. This property is gorgeous and has so much potential but is poorly managed and facilities are not worth the price. Our bartenders were awesome. They were very accommodating. Unfortunately, they are a third party hired by the venue. The bartenders even mentioned the venue owners were very unorganized & unreasonable. Our damage deposit was cashed unreasonably. I have asked for pictures of “damage” that was done to the property with no reply. We walked on egg shells around the owners for both the rehearsal and the wedding as we felt they already decided to cash our damage deposit. The venue owners also are not afraid to talk about money paid for the venue in front of your wedding guest either. Which I found very unprofessional. We were unable to do our “grand entrance” as a new Mr & Mrs do to the lack of communication between venue owners who we hired as day of coordinator. All in all, the owners of this venue were very judgmental, unprofessional, unorganized and over all a joke. I would not recommend this venue to my worst enemy. I normally am not one to leave reviews but this was OUR wedding day & we paid a significant amount of money for a slap in the face in return.
