I have made the difficult and sad decision to stop offering my services as a wedding officiant. In late 2020 I was diagnosed with an immune deficiency syndrome called Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID). It can and does manifest with unexpected and random symptoms that can incapacitate me for a couple of days.
Since I have no way of knowing if this might happen right before a wedding, I really can’t in good conscience commit to doing any more ceremonies. It breaks my heart because it has been my great honor and joy to officiate the weddings that I have.
