I highly recommend going to Helene’s Bridal Shoppe in East Providence for your wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. I am so happy that I choice this Bridal Shoppe to be my first and last place to look for a wedding dress. I was really nervous about trying on dresses because I don’t usually like the way dresses look on me and wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted. Ana was so amazing made me feel comfortable and new exactly what dresses would look good with my body shape. I ended up having so much fun and found my dress that day! I am in love with my dress and was so impressed I took my bridesmaids there for their dresses. Again Helene’s Bridal did not disappoint and Ana went out of her way to schedule an appointment around everyone’s crazy schedules. All my bridesmaids found beautiful dresses that compliments my dress and them as well. Can’t thank Ana enough for all of her help as well as all of her patience. I had such an amazing experience when I went to purchase my wedding gown here. I went in having no clue what I wanted, and ending up finding my gown that day. Ana was very patient with me and was also willing to spend so much time with my mother and I - we were not rushed. They also had a great selection of dresses given that it was such a small shop. It is definitely a place to go when looking for your gown, and I see myself going back when it is time to get bridesmaids dresses as well. I highly recommend!

What to say about this hidden gem! I never noticed this place. But the displays on their window really caught my eyes. I stopped by with no appointment and was receive with a warm welcome. From start to finish. My experience at Helene's was one I will never forget. Ana was patient with me and my mother. Her attention to detail and knowledge was impressive. She made me and my mother feel at home. I had no idea what I wanted but we found the dress. Ana never pushed any ideas that did not fit what I had in mind. Overall quality over quantity. The dress I chose was a discontinued. It was made feel unique. And not like I was at a retail store. I think she deserves more credit then what she receives. Love you Ana!

Being the Maid of Honor is not an easy job! But knowing the right place to go for a dress can make the process much easier.The whole Bride Tribe felt so warm and welcomed! Helene's is amazing. They have a lot of beautiful dresses. Ana is wonderful, and she is a sweetheart, she knew how to take of us very well. I have gone to Helene's for many years from my sweet 15 to my prom and many of my family has bought dresses from them too.

Ana and Cassidy were both extremely patient and helpful when I went there looking for a bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding. My mom cane with me and they even let her try on some "mother of the groom" dresses. My dress was ordered here and it arrived pretty promptly (8-9 weeks). My brother's fiancé bought her wedding dress here as well. I would highly recommend this place!! It's a bit small, but the selection of dresses and the helpfulness of the staff make up for that!

I had such an amazing experience at Helene's Bridal Shoppe. Ana is such a sweet lady and she made feel as if I were family. At Helene's you feel like you are #1 priority. Anna and Ashle went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my best friends wedding. My friend and I also got our alterations done at the shoppe. The seamstress was super sweet and efficient. She created a beautiful headpiece for my friend from leftover fabric from her dress and also a custom piece for my maid of honor dress. All in all wonderful experience. Planning my daughters party as the months pass I realized too late that neither one of us had a dress. I've searched through some near by boutiques yet no luck in finding a dress. Until I found Helene's Bridal Shoppe! We did not have an appointment but regardless we were received with that same exclusiveness as if we had. My daughter is turning 15, and she will be celebrating her Sweet 15. After trying a few dresses on she found her dream dress. I knew that day that she had found the one! Because she was in total infatuation with her dress by the way she smiled and looked into the mirror with such satisfaction. The staff at Helene's truly listen to every detail and ideas that you throw their way. They truly made her feel like a princess with tiara and all! After this point I was convinced that I did not need to look any further to find my own dress. Honestly you can not put a price on good customer service. I felt welcomed and appreciated and my daughter will always remember Ana! For her patience and kindness but especially for making her feel more beautiful then she is! And making our experience as Mother-Daughter more meaningful! I couldn't have asked for more, the staff at Helene's are amazing!

I went to Helene's Bridal in East Providence for my wedding dress, my bridesmaids dresses, and we rented our tuxes from Anthony's House of Formals (connected to Helene's). It was overall, a fantastic experience! The people who work there are wonderful. They were extremely flexible, helpful, and caring. I would highly recommend going there for a fantastic bridal experience!

I'm not the type of person who has imagined her wedding her entire life, nor do I know much about fashion, so I was a bit overwhelmed from the get go when it was time to shop for my wedding dress. However, the staff at Helene's was absolutely amazing. I'm not exaggerating when I say they were truly memorable and I would tell everyone I know to go there. They made this experience fun, stress free, and under budget! Ashlee was a mind reader, finding the perfect dresses for me to try on when I didn't even really know what I was looking for. All the staff are incredibly sweet and helpful, not only with finding the perfect dress for my wedding, but also with hooking me up for alterations, cleaning, and preserving my gown. I really don't think I could have had a better experience than I did with Helene's.

If you are looking for the best, Helene's Bridal Shoppe is it. They get you ready and prep for the big day without much of the stress. Service is superb!! Need a alteration? Don't sweat it, Helene's Bridal Shoppe will help alter any seam you need. I am a really petite woman with a height of 4'11", but they managed to alter the dress to my fitting. They listen to what you want and need.

The staff at Helene's Bridal Shoppe made my daughter's experience unforgettable. I am so glad to have met Ana she was amazing she even gave us ideas on customizing my daughter's wedding gown by suggesting to get rid of the halter and adding cap sleeves. The seamstress she recommended did an absolute wonderful job on the gown she even added beading on the cap sleeves as a finishing touch, the bustle looked gorgeous. What can I say about my dress. It was beautiful I got so many compliments the quality is impeccable I am pleased to say that Helene's staff is very welcoming and I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

My mom recently purchased her mother of the bride dress here for my wedding coming up in September. She went in alone the first time and was very indecisive (as she usually is). She said the women there were very good at giving her opinions. I then went back with her to see her in the top two contenders. I swear we were there for an hour and a half- trying this one on, then that one, then back to the first one, and over, and over... Both women were extremely helpful in giving their honest opinions on which dress they liked better, which was more flattering, which was more elegant... My mom finally decided on one and they were so helpful in showing her what pleated cap sleeves would look like if they were added since she was considering that. They were also extremely helpful when picking the color. They even went upstairs to try and find other dresses from the same designer in the colors she was considering! When she picked up her dress, she tried on some jewelry we had purchased elsewhere that we weren't sure we loved. They found us the perfect necklace and earrings that matched the bracelet we had already purchased to totally complete my mom's look. On my way out, I saw a hairpiece that basically fit all my criteria- something I had searched high and low to find. They looked at pictures of my hair trial (15 minutes after they had already "closed") to give me their honest opinions. I ended up getting it! These women are just so incredibly thoughtful, kind, accommodating, honest, friendly, patient, all the things you look for at a bridal shoppe. They even asked me to come back and show them pictures of wedding day, even though I hadn't purchased my gown there! (I just hadn't gotten that far on my gown finding journey before I found THE dress. I totally would've purchased from them!) Bottom line, they are amazing people who really love what they do and make your experience great. I would recommend them to anyone!

I always knew I'd be getting my dress at Helene's, as my sister purchased her gown there 7 years ago. Everyone there is more than amazing, especially Ana and Ashlee. My first appointment was so amazing. I tried on 9 dresses and found my dream dress that first day! The level of service they give you is beyond exceptional. They are always so flexible, and even let me come back one day just to try on the dress again! I ended up purchasing my veil, earring and hairpiece with them, too. We also went with Helene's for my bridesmaids. Two of them were planning on having a baby and we weren't sure what would happen around the time of our wedding for them. Ana was so great when measuring them and helped them pick the correct size. We found the perfect dress that looked gorgeous on 6 girls with 6 different body types! My mother also purchased her gown there, too! If you're also looking for great tuxes for the groom and men, definitely consider Anthony's House of Formals associated with Helene's. They even have 2 locations for us Rhode Islanders who don't want to go on 195 ;-) Helene's no longer has an in house seamstress but they do recommend a few. Definitely go with Eugenia! I thought my dress was already gorgeous but she is so meticulous and has an eye for things I never would have ever noticed. She even gave me quite the shape in my mermaid gown!

Ana and Helene's bridal were beyond wonderful! My mother, aunt and cousin all purchased their wedding dresses here! Second dress I tried on was the one! It was so beautiful! I also purchased all my accessories here, veil and headband! Ana is amazing and I would recommend any new bride to go there!

I had a wonderful experience finding my perfect wedding dress at Helene's! I went shopping with my mom, wedding planner and MOH, and everyone at Helene's made us feel welcome. They did not push me in any direction, didn't make me feel like we were on a time crunch, and just generally made the experience one I will remember forever. They were also super flexible and willing to make appointments with me outside of their typical hours to accommodate my own crazy work schedule. Thanks Helene's!

This is where I ended buying my Liz Fields gown! Before this purchase, I had gone into numerous bridal shops looking for the perfect gown/service. Anna, one of the consultants, made this experience one I will never forget. She was respectful and caring. She allowed me to try on gowns multiple times to help aid in my decision. My Mom is from out of state and was not able to go with me to pick out a dress, so Anna let me Face Time my Mother through Iphone to look at a couple dresses I was trying on. Anna was so patient and I felt she was a "step in Mom" and my second home during this process. I ended up getting not only my wedding gown here, but my veil and bridesmaids dresses! I can't wait to go back into the shoppe and show Anna my wedding pictures!

I worked with Ana; she was sweet, sincere, and competent. I walked into Helene's with a picture of one dress, but Ana made sure I tried on several dresses along with that one so I could have a feel for different styles. She never coaxed me or told me only what I wanted to hear; instead, she acted as a guide. She was never pushy and had exceptional taste and input. In the end, I purchased a different dress than the one from my picture; it was perfect! Ana made sure all details were accounted for, and my dress came in when she said it would. When I met with Ana, again, she was still that wonderful, sweet woman. I cannot be more thankful to her and the staff. They guided me towards a wonderful seamstress (see review for Sewing Creations by Rose), and we rented tuxes downstairs at Anthony's House of Formals (see review). Ana and the staff at Helene's Bridal were extremely helpful. The initial appointment that my daughter and I had set the tone for all future appointments. Ana was very patient, allowing my daughter to try on many bridal gowns. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase a gown after our initial appointment. Ana had knowledge and expertise as to what would flatter my daughter and suggested several gowns for her to try on. The entire wedding gown selection to pick up of the gown was phenomenal. Purchased my wedding dress and got the bridesmaid dresses from Helene's. Finding a wedding dress was a great experience here, not like at those chain stores. My bridal consultant Ashley made sure I found the perfect dress and veil that I envisioned!

Helene's was the only bridal store that actually listened to what I wanted. They make you feel very special, they only take one bride at a time, and you are in a private room. You are not with 50 other brides trying to find your perfect gown. They take the time to find out what you are looking for and give you the personal attention that every bride deserves. They also have lots of private designers, so you are not buying the same dress as every other bride out there!

I loved my dress but called to make my first alteration appointment 3 months before my wedding and found out that the seamstress was out indefinitely. You think they would have called the bride instead of me finding out when I called. They offered me local seamstresses in which I used neither of them and took my dress elsewhere for alterations.

Ashley and Anna at Helene's are absolutely as sweet as can be! After visiting a few bridal shoppes and feeling very discouraged my mom and I went to Helene's and met with Anna. Immediately I wanted to find my dress here. Not only had my mom bought her dress there 30+ years ago, I thought Anna was so nice and she truly made me feel so comfortable and listened to what I was saying. At other shoppes I felt like if I showed them a picture they just tried to find a dress exactly like it even when I told them I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for. I also felt very pressured and in some places I didn't feel like I thought I would shopping for my wedding dress. Anyways I tried on 2 dresses and felt like I was finally getting somewhere. When I tried on the third dress I really liked it but there were a few details I didn't like. Anna assured me they could make the changes I wanted and after spending a few minutes, she opened the curtain to show my mom and I knew it was my dress! Anna encouraged me to take my time in "saying yes to the dress" and I made an appointment for 2 days later to bring back my maid of honor and sister-in-law. When I tried it on again I just knew and seeing everyone's reaction just solidified it! My mom and my bridesmaids got their dresses there as well and Ashley and Anna have always been so wonderful to deal with. Ashley even graciously helped my sister-in-law with re-ordering her wedding dress when Cinderella's went out of business. I absolutely cannot say enough about how sweet and nice they were. And to boot, their prices are very reasonable I thought. My bridesmaids dresses were $140 which included a $30 charge to change the fabric...we saw the same dress elsewhere for over $200!

After going to 4 or 5 bridal shops and trying on probably close to 50 gowns, I found the perfect dress at Helene's! Ana assisted me for over 2 hours in trying on at least 12 gowns. I can not say enough about how kind, patient, professional, and helpful she was. She also has an incredible eye for style, as she is the one who picked out the gown I purchased! After I decided on my gown, I asked Ana to recommend a veil, headpiece, and earrings and she again did a perfect job in finding pieces that complemented my gown beautifully! I also have to say, some of the other bridal salons that I went to I felt were very pushy. This was not the case at all at Helene's or with Ana. I did not feel pressure from anyone to purchase anything and in fact, I left the first day without making a purchase. However, that night I couldn't stop thinking about my gown, so the very next day my mom and I ended up going back to purchase the gown and accessories! I couldn't be more thrilled! Also, Helene's has a very longstanding reputation - my mom purchased her gown there 32 years ago and received the same level of extraordinary service! Definitely make the trip to Helene's - you will have a tremendous selection, exceptional service, and the undivided attention and skill of their bridal consultants! Ashle and Ana were so helpful when it came to my gown. I was crunched for time because of an issue with my original gown and they went over the top to help me pick out my dream dress. My bridesmaids had gotten their dresses here too and I loved their dresses so much I cant wait to borrow one! Great service all around with finding the perfect dress, fittings, reminding me of deadlines, and tips and suggestions. They took wonderful care of me and my girls, highly recommend!!

After looking at many RI/MA locations I finally found Helene's! Helene's has an amazing selection. I was looking for halter- and they were the one place that was able to show me the best selection. They have a wide range of styles and prices. Ashlee was very helpful!

The decision to buy my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at Helene's was one of the best choices I made throughout my wedding planning. The staff is amazing and so kind. My friends and family all felt very at home here. They have a wonderful selection and the dresses are very affordable. The alterations are also very affordable and their seamstress is a magician. My husband also got the tuxes here and they were so sharp and they fit amazingly well. We had the best looking wedding party!

The staff at Helene's was amazing! They really understood my vision of what I was looking for in my perfect dress and they certainly delivered. The dress I bought became my own custom wedding dress after all the alterations were made to it. The seamstress was quick, efficient and really has a great eye for what looks good on a dress. Although this seems like a little hole in the wall, it was the only shop around that carried the designer I wanted: Aire Barcelona. I am so thankful I decided to go here. Not only did they have the dress of my dreams, plus a huge selection of other gorgeous dresses, Ashle the sales woman, was SO nice and SO helpful. It was a wonderful experience everytime I had to go there. Worth every penny.

My mother had gotten her dress here almost 30 years ago! and now I got mine there too!! It was the first one I tried on and I knew it was meant to be :) the women there are sooo nice and make you feel soo good, you should definately go there!

The dresses were very beautiful and they arrived quicker than expected. They kept the lines of communication opened by calling to give us updates or ask questions. When things were wronge, they made corrections or other options to acommondate me.

I had been to four different places to try on dresses and hands down Helene's was the BEST! I was referred to them by my best friend who bought her dress there.
