Helfer’s and their baker Cathy were excellent to work with! We were able to quickly get in for a tasting and within one sitting everything was taken care of. Cathy took care of all...
the coordinating and delivery to our reception hall, and the cake turned out beautifully. Not only was it delicious, but we were able to order a small couple’s cake for us and a sheet cake for our guests, and Helfer’s still delivered! in addition, pricing was very reasonable and at no point were we pressured to upgrade to a traditional wedding cake or fancier design. I highly recommend Helfer’s to anyone in the STL area!
Delicious and beautiful wedding cake! Highly recommend!
Our cake looked and tasted phenomenal! We had so many complements on it from guests! Thank you!
Helfer's did an amazing job with our cake! It was so pretty and we had many compliments of how delicious it was. Everyone was very professional and courteous whenever we called. Co...
uld not be happier with our choice for our wedding cake.
I was not super picky about wedding cake, I just wanted something simple, delicious, and within my budget, and Helfer's did just that. For someone looking for a more extravagantly ...
decorated cake, Helfer's has you covered there too- their portfolio was large and impressive. The cakes I chose- yellow cake with raspberry filling, and a marble cake with cream cheese filling- were phenomenal, and our guests loved them too. To help save costs, Helfer's allowed me to bring my own decor to put on the cake rather than icing flowers.
I also used Helfer's for my Grooms' Cookies (rather than a Grooms cake), because Helfer's has the best custom-decorated sugar cookies in town, they were a huge hit at our rehearsal dinner.
My shower hosts even used Helfer's for Cardinals themed cake- jersey's with our last name and wedding date on them.
I will definitely be using them for future bakery needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for phenomenal taste and service!
I ordered my wedding cake from Helfer's Bakery and it is one of my proudest choices : ) It was beautiful and delicious! They have tons of styles, cake flavors, and fillings. I can'...
t wait to eat the little bit I saved!
We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Helfer's. The cake was absolutely delicious, beautiful, and exactly what we had envisioned. Helfer's even added candy pe...
arls to every border of every layer (5 layers) to go along with what I was hoping for on my cake. The groom's cake was also made by Helfer's and it was exactly what I had asked for. We were extremely happy with both of our cakes and highly recommend Helfer's.
Our cake from Helfer's was delicious! The decorator sat down with us at the tasting to discuss designs and sizes. She had foam cutouts to stack for a visual of the cake size which ...
was very helpful. We did not get this personal attention at other bakeries. Our cake was beautiful and just as we had discussed. My only complaint is that we were so busy socializing that we did not have enough time during the reception to eat more! We were very pleased with our wedding cake!
Helfer's did an awesome job of creating a topsy turvy cake for us. The cake was exactly as we had described and tasted great!
We went with this baker because my brother-in-law had been to a wedding and said the cake was delicious. So, we scheduled a tasting. The tasting wasn't as extravagant as I had ho...
ped, I think they used day-old cake, It just wasn't as moist and delicious as had been described. Their design book is also out dated. But, we took a risk because of all the positive feedback we had heard from friends and family (plus the rest of the pastries at Helfer's are delicious!). We got a small 3 tier cake with their famous buttercream icing, and 2 kitchen cakes for about $200. Our wedding cake was SO MUCH BETTER than our tasting; it was AMAZING! We had cherry blossoms on our cake for the decor, and it looked great; like 'Cake Boss' great! I think I'm going to give Helfer's a picture of it so they can update their design book :)
We had pies at the wedding and it was a hit. The bakery was great.
She can make anything and had the best cake that i have ever tasted. I don't like cake at all. Her's amazing!!!!
I found a cake online that I loved and Helfer's was able to make the cake just how I pictured it. It was a very cute cake and they were very easy to work with throughout everythin...

Instead of doing 1 big wedding cake, we did a series of regular sized cakes displayed on cake stands of varying heights. It wouldn't have been a St. Louis wedding without Gooey But...
ter Cakes, so we went to Helfer's since they have the best Gooey Butter Cake in St. Louis. (Also, inexpensive but fabulous!) They didn't disappoint! Delicious.
