Helga's Bridal and Alteration

Helga is INCREDIBLE. She was recommended to me for alterations by Maggi Bridal, and I was very happy with the work she did on my dress. She is thorough, detail-oriented, listened to my thoughts, and was adjusting my dress even a few days before my big day because I couldn't make up my mind on how tight I wanted the dress. It fit like a glove and I got so many compliments! Use her!!

It was amazing to work with Olga. She really puts in the effort to make sure you love the end results. Her work is worth every penny.

GET SOMEBODY ELSE TO DO IT! She charged me $250 to adjust the straps on a $35 dress! I informed her when I needed it by and she scheduled me a week before I needed it to make the alterations. She did not disclose to me that it would be considered a rush job until after the fact! When I mentioned that to her, her response was I never asked! What kind of customer service is that!? This was not even my wedding dress or gown! A regular dress that I wanted to wear to my bridal shower! Business must be slow and now she’s scamming! Please Brides save yourself the stress!

Helga did the alterations for my wedding dress, I ordered from Etsy and the sizing was a little off, when I received my dress there was no way I would have been able to wear the dress without alterations, Helga went above and beyond for me, I don't think my dress could have been done more perfect! I can't thank her enough for making sure I had the dress exactly how I envisioned. My review: 100% YES use her!

Helga did an absolutely beautiful job altering my wedding dress! She was incredibly invested in making sure I got everything I wanted and never tried to push me in one direction or the other. Even though I had a few more alteration appointments than I expected, the alterations were incredibly affordable and impeccably done! I have never felt more beautiful!!!

I booked here because she was recommended by my bridal studio. I did not need much to be done other than a simple home on my dress because it’s a practically everywhere else. I arrived, the first appointment went off without a hitch, and I was supposed to arrive a month later for my final fitting and pick up my dress. I come from out of town six hours away because my mom is local and I wanted to be able to share this experience with her. I came to pick up my dress for my final fitting and I was informed that the dress was not done because the appointment was written down wrong. I was compensated for my time but incredibly frustrated with my overall experience. Fast forward a month later I am at my new fitting and see that the front of my dress has blood spots on it from where I am assuming she pricked her finger when pinning my dress and did not notice before spreading it. There is also some on the bottom of my train where she picked it up to spread it out. I am appalled that I received my dress back in this condition and it was not noticed, or pointed out to me by her before I left with my dress.

Helga did such an amazing job altering my dress. When you're considering changes to make, she shares her vast knowledge on how each and any change will affect other aspects of the dress. But, she always leaves the decision up to you. One of my favorite memories during the wedding process will be with her and my mom eyeing my dress time after time in the mirror. She is so kind, and it helps her work is perfection! I highly recommend her and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

The wedding dress that I bought at the bridal boutique was sleeveless. I had always wanted lace sleeves and the assistants at the boutique assured me that Olga would be able to add sleeves to my dress (we bought extra lace and tulle from the designer). The finished product was STUNNNING! I am so pleased with how Olga designed the sleeves, as well as the bustle and all of the general alterations. You would have never thought that the dress came without sleeves! In addition, Olga was very friendly and sweet; my mother and I loved coming to her shop. Thank you, Olga!

Helga is a magician with needle and thread. She made me feel so beautiful in my dress. I really can't thank her enough for all the work she put into my dress. If you have a vision/a dream for your dress, she will make it happen! She used extra fabric/lace from my dress to make a removable cleavage panel.. truly a magician! I would give 10 stars if I could.
