Let me start by saying that I cannot say enough about Hel's Kitchen. From our first meeting to the day of my son's wedding, they were top notch. Linda was our culinary architect. ...
She was extremely easy to work with and offered many suggestions for us. Her attention to detail with incredible. We used Hel's for my son's wedding which was held in our backyard (approx. 100 people). There was not one complaint about the food. The way everything was set up was so extremely elegant. The service was impeccable, and left everyone smiling.
The day after the wedding, we also had Hel's deliver and set up a fantastic brunch, which again stunned everyone on the elegance, and the quality of the food.
I would consider using them for any event including holiday meals!
My son's wedding would not have been what it was if it wasn't for Linda and her incredible team.

ng us a lot of personal attention. We chose a family style dinner for the guests, and everyone seemed to enjoy with their dinner! The supervisor in charge of the evening made everything run incredibly smoothly; my husband and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The staff very graciously made sure that my husband and I both ate, making plates of appetizers and entrees for us, and they made sure that (if we wanted), we always had a drink in our hand! The supervisor handed me a drink seconds after my husband noticed that I had almost finished mine. It was like magic! It was such a wonderful evening, thanks to Hel’s Kitchen!

at Hel's Kitchen was able to work with us so we stayed in our budget. After a lot of back and forth, we had our final menu. The presentation and display of food and table settings were exquisite. The staff and chefs were amazing. Everyone raved about the food. I am still getting compliments on the delicious chicken we had. In lieu of a cake, we opted for cupcakes and they were just delicious! I have such great things to say about Hel's Kitchen. Thank you!

Hel's Kitchen far exceeded our expectations and our guests are still talking about how good the food was. Nikee was great to work with and did a fantastic job coordinating the food...
and drinks for our wedding. We knew we wanted a buffet and were able to look through their options on their website. They were very flexible in letting us add or change items to fit what we wanted.
For our cocktail hour we did three different appetizers (bacon-wrapped chorizo-stuffed dates, beef-wrapped asparagus, and parmesan artichoke dip) as well as a Sushi Station which included a sushi chef making rolls for guests on the spot.
Dinner was a buffet with chicken, fish, potatoes and grilled vegetables. We had a plated salad and bread baskets served tableside. They let us bring in our wedding cake. Since we did a buffet we were able to take home the leftovers and they were delicious!
One of the best things Hel's Kitchen did was to make sure my husband and I got a plate of the appetizers (including the sushi) and a pre-made plate at dinner so that we were able to eat some of the food at the wedding. We were very happy with their service and would definitely use them again for another special event!
We used Hel's Kitchen Catering for our wedding at the Redfield Estate at The Grove in Glenview, IL. The company allowed my husband, parents, and I to come in for a tasting of items...
that we were interested in having on the menu. Most of what we tasted was delicious, and some was so-so. Here were the highlights as I saw them:
-Great selection of food to please any palette (they'll even tweak recipes to your taste).
-They let us bring our own alcohol and use their glasses, ice, garnishes, etc. so we saved thousands of dollars.
-Very accommodating staff (even though her own wedding and honeymoon fell just before our event, she was there for us every step of the way, and through all the changes we made!)
-They kind of become a mini-coordinator-service. When I started talking about the decorations I was using and the family members that would be setting things up, our Hel's Kitchen rep said that she and her team would do all the decorating work. A BIG help! All I had to do was draw up some pictures, leave the wedding decorations at the site the night before, and they set everything just right.
My only complaint: The food was overall lukewarm - the salad wasn't that cold and the turkey, pasta, etc. that we had wasn't that hot. The quality didn't "wow" me with any form of extravagance, but it certainly was very good food.
If you want people to come away from your wedding with a lasting impression of how good the food was, make your decision after the taste-test. If you want a very nice group of people who respond quickly to inquiries, come up with creative solutions, bend over backwards to accommodate price brackets and tastes, and cook up some very decent food, Hel's Kitchen is for you.
