We recently celebrated our wedding at SVE, and it was absolutely perfect. The stunning Nebraska landscape provided a breathtaking backdrop that our guests couldn't stop raving abou...

Barb and Sarah were a pleasure to work with, making the planning process smooth and enjoyable. The addition of the tents and the rental house added a unique and cozy touch, ensuring our guests were comfortable and relaxed.
The onsite catering, led by Sarah and her talented team, was amazing. The buffet was easy and convenient, and our guests loved every bite.
Overall, our experience at SVE was outstanding. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at SVE for making our special day so memorable. If you're looking for a stunning venue with exceptional service, SVE is the perfect choice.
Everything about this venue is AMAZING. Beautiful setting, delicious food and such hospitable staff!! There's no place like it around!
This venue is absolutely beautiful but unfortunately for us it ended there. The owner was very nice and accommodating until after we signed the contract. We had originally discusse...
d using their catering (the daughter of the family). After the proposal was sent over and was twice as much as what we were first told we decided to go another route. We hadn't signed a contract or anything so it shouldn't have been a problem. Barb however became very standoffish and rude. We would send emails to her and receive one word answers. Some of our other vendors tried to communicate with her as well and we were told that they had the same response given. Barb had also told us that we would have from Wednesday to decorate (our wedding was on a Saturday). The week before she contacted us saying we would have three hours the day before which should include our rehearsal. While the staff that worked at our wedding were great, we were also told that there were some unnecessary negative comments made from her. She also ended up telling us that she needed us to have everything out that night because they were holding an event the next day which is not what we were originally told. Overall, I would just be very careful of this venue.
My husband and I got married at Heritage Hall in the summer of 2014. The employees there did a great job of accomadating our needs. Any questions we had, or things we needed, the...
y helped make it happen. The food on sight is delicious and the chef works with you to make a menu everyone is sure to enjoy. The vineyard and sorrounding areas create beautiful pictures. The venue is also nice for someone trying to plan something unique to them. There are many options for ceremony spaces dependingd on the size of your wedding which I enjoyed creating Ryan and I's special day.
November 30, 2013 was a lovely warm day for a 4 pm wedding and reception in a cozy, intimate setting. Our group numbered only 27 - our adult children, spouses, and grandchildren. ...
In front of the lovely stone fireplace, our vows were exchanged - tears flowed, and kisses abounded!
I can't say enough positive things about this facility and staff! Barb Slattery was so very accommodating, Chef Sarah prepared a tantalizing, inspired dinner - and Barb's wine pairings were just outstanding.
We would go back in a second - and do so quite frequently for their summer music! Such a charming spot in the middle of God's Country!
My husband and I got married out at Slattery Vintage Estates September 7th, 2013. It was the best day of our lives! Everything was perfect. The venue is breath taking, secluded and...
beautiful. The service was impeccable. Everyone went out of their way to make our big day as special as it could be. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I would highly recommend having your wedding at Slattery Vintage Estates!
SVE is located in some beautiful country. Our wedding was beautiful because my husband and I had an amazing amount of support and quick thinking family members, as well as our own ...
motivation to have a largely DIY wedding. If this is your style, this might be a good fit for you to hold an event with them. Some of my personal tips for being successful with this venue:
Ensure your contract is solid and in writing before a deposit is paid and make sure you know in advance about all the extra charges, as there are some involved (such as renting water glasses from them, parking attendant, etc.) If you're on a set budget make sure and be open about that. They might try and work with you.
Set up and clean up were not included in the rental fee, which is currently at $2500. You could pay extra for their staff to do it for you. What was included for us were some special arrangements to use their kitchen, a ceremony area (that we also had to set up ourselves to avoid extra charges), and use of the banquet hall. We also got linens included. I would not recommend use of their linens, bring in your own if at all possible. Ours were left in the corner of the banquet hall wrinkled and had bugs and stains on them, which thankfully my family members were able to cover up with decorations. SVE has a discount relationship with a reputable vendor in Omaha, so please consider using them.
The vineyard itself will remain open for business, which was very clearly communicated to us and is totally understandable- consider bringing your own signage to delineate where your event is happening to prevent interruptions by their staff directing customers. All guests of SVE were respectful and friendly to us and our wedding party.
They do have an in house system for music for those who don't want to bring a DJ or band- it was non-functional the night of our wedding. Thankfully we had speakers and laptops from the ceremony so we got those down for the reception. The staff was not able to help us solve the music problem.
The family that owns the vineyard have several domestic animals that live there, because the vineyard is also their home. You'll want to discuss your willingness to have them around your event/children and address any potential safety issues with that. They were open to talking to us about that, which was really nice of them- unfortunately a child at our ceremony ended up getting bit by one of the dogs. Not a serious injury, just startling for her.
Check and make sure you know their event schedule for the day following yours- a wedding was scheduled to begin less than 12 hours after we were told we needed to be out of the facility which made for a little bit of a time crunch for us/our helpers, but just required some good coordination on our parts to get it done. You will need a lot of willing friends and family to help you!
Additionally, arrange payment for the bar bill (If this will be part of your event) ahead of time and make sure it is itemized and presented before you authorize any charges or any charges are made on your behalf.
I used email to communicate everything about the event with Mrs. Slattery so that I could easily refer back to the agreements about the day. Good practice for event planning anyway. L
Like I said, the vineyard is really built in a beautiful location and our pictures turned out gorgeous!
Feel free to contact me for vendors in the area that will travel to SVE!
While this is a beautiful location to host your wedding, there are a few things you should be aware of. The owner is very nice and accommodating BEFORE the wedding, however the nig...
ht before the wedding we were sent a long email explaining that the changing rooms are only for changing and no more (the changing room is within the home owned by the venue owners and yes you will be charged to use this). This is completely understandable, but be prepared that you will have to hang around in their wine tasting room where other guests are free to walk in as well before the wedding starts. In addition to that, we were told by numerous members of the wedding party of snide remarks made by the owner in regards to where everything should be placed etc. This did not sit well with me.
Also, if you are planning on having assistance with setup the day of the wedding, hosting a dinner rehearsal, or using too many of their cups, please be aware you will be charged extra fees. I wish I could say everything went smoothly on our wedding day, but it was too much of a hassle to say the least.
Slattery Vintage Estates is a gorgeous venue if you're looking for an outdoor wedding. Quiet and secluded but on a large private acreage. Rows and rows of lush vines make for great...
