Heritage Wedding Barns

Heritage Wedding Barns is a destination venue located in Shelby, Michigan, just minutes from the sunsets and sandy shores of Lake Michigan and the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. This 1892 timber frame barn was relocated and erected with ALL the modern amenities. The beautiful 27 acre property has been family owned since 1922. We welcome you and your guests to be part of a rich heritage to make memories and cherish a legacy for your family to enjoy. Heritage Wedding Barns boasts four spaces for you and up to 250 guests to flow throughout the property to celebrate your big day! Ceremony- Our featured ceremony site is located in the quiet serenity of the willow tree. White benches are in place for your guests to witness your wedding vows. Golf cart transportation is provided for the wedding party, parents, grandparents, and those needing assistance. Another outdoor ceremony site is the beautifully landscaped patio, conveniently located at the lower level of the barn. Our indoor ceremony site is in the upper level of the barn which features historic timber frame beams, chandelier lighting, and reclaimed brick accents. Cocktail Hour- After your ceremony, your guests can move into the lower level of the barn for appetizers and drinks served on our 28 foot custom wood and brick bar. Guests will enjoy mingling in the lower level and walkout patio areas that include custom cocktail tables, whiskey barrels, and patio furniture. Dinner Reception- Following cocktail hour, guests will make their way up to the upper level of the barn. You and your guests will enjoy this large space while dining under the view of the rafters and a touch of the Lake Michigan breeze through the large open barn doors. Dancing- When dinner is done, guests will move to the lower level to continue the night with drinks and dancing. The patio’s market lights provide a romantic glow as you dance the night away. Heritage Wedding Barns focuses on your comfort and enjoyment. This includes heated/AC bridal suite, groom’s room and full bathrooms. The venue offers on-site parking and the facility is wheelchair accessible (ADA compliant). There is a separate entrance and parking for vendors to service your event as well as a spacious warming kitchen for your caterer to serve from. Heritage Wedding Barns offers one-day and two-day packages. Packages include custom table layouts, setup of tables and chairs, farm tables, custom cocktail tables, bar stools, whiskey barrels, arbors, patio furniture, and limited golf cart transportation. Our on-site staff assists in the flow of your day by providing setup of your table layout, golf cart transportation, greeting vendors, and servicing bathrooms.
