nd hired his team for 10 hours, 2 photographers, 2 videographers, and their photobooth and flower wall backdrop for the day of. The day of, to my surprise Herman himself was one of the photographers!! 1 videographer and 1 photographer went to where me and my bridesmaids were getting ready, and the other two went to my husband's family home where he was with his groomsmen. They took great coverage at the home, BellaTerra/Barnes&Noble, and our venue. They had great ideas and came with their own vision and were good at organizing/positioning us for the shots, while also being amenable to whatever things we wanted to do. Herman answers questions promptly and had a great form to fill out before the weekend to help give an idea of our expectations and plan for the night. After the wedding, they sent me about 40 sneak-peek photos, and then it will be about 8 weeks for photo editing to be complete and 12 for our 5-7 minute highlight reel. I feel like they were an awesome team together, they truly listened to our wants and had a great attitude. I'm SO excited from the preview pics to see what else they got- I'll probably cry looking through them all!!! They captured our joy and fun so perfectly. Highly recommend!

tographers like to use the "Hollywood" style, which is a bit darker, and I know some people who prefer that style. But what my husband and I wanted was exactly Herman's style: bright, crisp, clear photos. For our engagement photo shoot, he brought us to a little unknown park he was familiar with. We were the only people at this park, so we didn't have to worry about people walking around and disturbing the photo shoot. Herman had suggestions for poses, and he really helped me and my husband feel comfortable as the day went on. Herman knew where photos would look good, and he and his staff used bubbles to create such cute photos. For our wedding, we had Herman and his team for photos & video. Thank God for the videos because as many people say, the day goes by way too quick and it's hard to be in the moment sometimes since you're needed here and there. Herman and his team captured every moment of the wedding and made such a wonderful wedding video for us. And of course, the pictures they took were beautiful and exactly what we wanted: venue photos, getting ready photos, family & friends photos, everything photos! Our wedding party was also a bit rowdy & fooled around a lot, but the photographer didn't lose his patience with us and made sure he got some of the silly photos, too. Awesome!! Herman is also very good at communicating, and he is always able to answer any questions my husband and I had. He's always in touch, and we will definitely use Herman for any event photography we have in the future. ni-engagement shoot and 10 hours of 2 photographers and 2 videographers on the day of the wedding. Before I dive into the review, we just want to thank Herman, Rich, Vincent, and Kirby for their time and dedication on our wedding day. We appreciate everything they did that day to capture our special day for us. Let’s start with the mini engagement shoot, we were supposed to get just 1 hour with an associate photographer but I asked Herman if he could do it so we know how he works come wedding day. Not only did he say yes, but we shot at Crystal Cove for over 3 hours and during sunset too! The photos were phenomenal and we absolutely loved them. We loved how the editing wasn't overly saturated or blown out; basically we love how everything looked very natural and the composition of every photo was perfect. Herman is super easy to work with and his years of experience with photography allowed him to tell us which poses we should do and make us feel extremely comfortable. On the day of the wedding, we got ready at our house. Herman and his team arrived promptly as discussed and took getting ready and bridal party photos for us. We then migrated and all drove to the venue to take some photos as I put on my wedding dress. They scouted outside for the best photos for the first look. Honestly I felt like I trusted everything they said to do since I knew they’ve done this so many times before. I’m actually super excited to see how the ceremony video turns out the most. Wedding day breezed by so fast and half the time I didn’t realize photos were being taken. Herman and his team coordinated with our day of coordinator on timing and everything and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Things could not have gone smoother. At one point in the middle of the night, Herman and his team requested everyone to go outside suddenly and we took a huge group photo at night. I wasn’t really sure what time it was throughout the day but soon Herman stopped by and told me they were leaving. I realized the night was slowly coming to an end. Before he left, Herman said “sneak peek” will be available soon! On the following Tuesday he sent me an email with a link to the sneak peek photos. I was in shock at how everything came out! Honest opinion of my experience working with Herman and his team: It was the best decision ever; they are so easy and comfortable to work with. Honest opinion of the outcome of the engagement and sneak peek photos: My favorite photos taken by any photographer. At the point of writing this review, we have not received the wedding photos or videos yet but we’re pretty sure we’ll be blown away in a few weeks ;) We can’t wait! dding day. Herman and his team have done so many weddings, especially in the Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley areas. They were very helpful during our actual wedding day, and I felt like they were coordinating for us a bit! We felt very safe and comfortable in their hands. We bought a the photo and video package for 10 hours. It was a team of 4, 2 for photos and 2 for video. The picture and video came out beautiful and on time. Herman and his team are affordable as well. Herman also took our engagement photos. Once again, we felt safe and happy in his hands at Crystal Cove. We were extremely happy with his work at the beach.

e as it was important to us to have a photographer who was already familiar with venue. From our first introduction meeting, he was very kind, easy to talk to, and not pushy like some of the other vendors we met. We went with a package that included an engagement shoot and both wedding photography and videography. For the engagement shoot, Herman gave some great location recommendations and was very accommodating in some of our last minute schedule changes. He was so kind in person and was very encouraging so that we could get comfortable in front of the camera. We generally aren't very picky with the shots so Herman took the lead and had some really fun and creative ideas that turned out wonderfully. The photos were absolutely stunning and so we were very confident going into wedding day. Despite the high bar that Herman had set, he and his team exceeded all expectations during the wedding. They were extremely professional, punctual, friendly, patient, efficient, yet unobtrusive. We got some sneak peek photos back incredibly quickly and are in love with the results, and can't wait to see the rest. Herman and his team have great versatility in their shots and captured some really special moments, both staged and candid. Herman was really patient and made it easy for us to loosen up and pose for some really nice photos (we even look normal in them!) :) Herman also took many lovely candid photos of us and the guests during the ceremony and reception. The photos that he and his team take are hosted on their website for an entire year, making it easy to share the photos with friends and family.

We never lost out on photos we wanted as they were able to work efficiently and beautifully throughout the whole day. Many of our guests even mentioned that they didn’t even notice Herman during the event as he was not obtrusive and captured special moments in a natural and beautiful way. We’re very excited to see the results when they come in and he showed us a few sneak peeks during the wedding day and they looked spectacular. We would love to work with Herman again in the future!

ne, I knew he was going to be an amazing vendor to work with. Herman is such a hardworking individual, who is also respectful and flexible to work with. I booked Herman right away for both my engagement session and wedding day for 10+ hours. Both my husband and I were planning a wedding in CA while we were living in Texas. Herman was very accommodating to us when scheduling our engagement session during the Christmas holiday. We wanted our engagement session at the beach, and Herman recommended Crystal Cove as a wonderful location to take engagement photos. During our engagement session he directed us on how we should be walking, placing our hands and looking. It was such a fun shoot and Herman was able to capture some amazing photos. Also the turnaround time to receive our photos was very quick. On our big day, Herman and his team did such a phenomenal job. They all have such a great eye for photography. Weddings can be a bit chaotic, but Herman was so patient and was easy to work with during our entire big day. He was able to capture sweet moments between my husband and I, as well as with family members and guests. We were also fortunate to have a beautiful sunset to shoot outside our venue. He did an amazing job at capturing a handful of pictures during the golden sunset hour. After the big day, I was also impressed by how quickly I received my wedding photos. Herman and his team sent them to me in 2 months. My wedding photographs as well as our experience with working with Herman really exceeded all of my expectations. Both my husband and I are so thankful to have him as one of our vendors. When I look back at my photos, I can't help but smile. They are everything I wanted and more! He was easy to connect with via email/text, responded promptly. He was also very accommodating to the packages and what we were looking for. We had our engagement photos done at Crystal Cove and our wedding at Noor's. I'm so happy with all the photos that came out and he even captured the cuteness of our fur kids. We got preview photos within 2 weeks which was such a great surprise! He made us feel really comfortable and calm especially during the wedding day because the last thing you'll want to think about is what is the photographer capturing. The team is very easy to work with, we even booked photo booth with Herman for the reception. It was a very long day starting with traditional tea ceremony in the early am to western ceremony in the late afternoon into the evening. Last minute I added additional hours for day of and I'm so glad we made that decision so we could fully capture the entire day from beginning to end. We didn’t really understand it at first, but now that we’re done with our wedding, we finally understood how important it is to have a photographer like Herman. The quality and care Herman takes into his work and planning really shows. When we worked with Herman, he was always one step ahead of our schedule and always early. He actually arrived to our venue quite early, and took pictures of the area before he started our photoshoot. It was extremely comforting to know that he had everything under control and already had a schedule on-top of our provided schedule for the day. Herman really tries to make sure your personality and style are captured in your pictures. He made sure to ask ahead of time on the style we’re looking for, and during the shoot you can tell he really tries ensure he captures that style. He also suggested a few poses that were not our normal style, but when we saw the results, we were so thankful for his suggestions. For our wedding photoshoot, he actually surprised us with extra props that matched extremely well with our theme and personalities. The thoughtfulness was such a relief during a hectic day, and made the whole experience even more fun and memorable. Bottom line, Herman is extremely professional, and also friendly; we could tell that he wanted us to have the best pictures and have fun taking them.

After the wedding, we heard that sometimes pictures take over 6 months to edit. However, we received ours just after two weeks, and they were all so beautiful! o far, he has sent us a few preview pictures and they looked really great! Some of the background were just regular grassy knolls in my eyes but it translated so well in the photos. I think Herman really knows how to play with the colors and lights and how to make our poses not appear too contrived. I put a lot of importance on the photos because it’s a whirlwind of a day… I can’t even remember speaking to certain people… I want to look at my photos and remember how much fun we had. My husband and I are not keen on videos so we didn’t get that service, but of course, it’s a preference. I think even just the pictures would be wonderful though.
