Herman's bakery and customer service were great. No outrageous boutique prices. Good food and good people. They put together my idea of a donut cake. I rented a cake stand from them and they assembled the donuts on the five-tier stand before my reception. There were no issues- it was exactly as I had planned with them. The donuts and the small cutting cake on the top tier tasted wonderful! At the bakery we were able to try all different cake and any donut we liked.

Herman’s Bakery baked the most delicious cake for our wedding! They worked with us to create the perfect design, and a different flavor for each tier of the cake. Our guest couldn’t get enough, there was no cake left at the end of the night! I highly recommend Herman’s Bakery- they’re a classic Baltimore bakery who does beautiful work for an affordable price.

My husband and I were very picky about our wedding cake and had some trouble finding one that we loved for a reasonable price. When we came into Herman's they were so helpful and the samples were amazing. We went with the strawberry shortcake (seriously one of the best things I've ever had) and were not disappointed. They decorated the cake exactly as we wanted and everyone came over to tell us how delicious it was!

Adrienne was very helpful. She took what we envisioned and made suggestions of how to make it happen. She helped us choose the appropriate sizes and layers. The cake turned out beautiful and everyone loved how it looked and tasted.

For our wedding cake we looked at a variety of places trying to find anywhere that started below $5 per serving because we could not afford to spend $500-600 dollars on a cake. We tried Hermans Bakery because it has been a local favorite for desserts for many years. When you go into the bakery, it looks like a throwback into the 1970s but dont let that alarm you. The service was always good and when we met with the baker to pick out flavors they were very down to earth and helpful. We had envisioned a pumpkin spice cake and they made that for us as a custom flavor. We ordered a two tier cake to make it more affordable plus a sheet cake to be cut and served for the guests. The flavor of the cake was beyond our expectations. It was so delicious and moist and flavorful without being overly sweet. The best part about working with a small bakery was how down to earth they were. They only charged $50 for delivery from Dundalk to Catonsville whereas a bakery in Catonsville charged nearly double. We didnt have any complaints about working with them. Everything went smoothly and it turned out great!

We used Herman's Bakery after reading an ad for them in a local wedding magazine. My fiance and I had gone to a few tastings, so we knew the drill, but Herman's was different. The smaller, family-owned bakery didn't look like much from the outside, but our service and overall experience was amazing. We were treated to several different flavors, fillings and design options and ultimately built our "perfect" cake. The staff was extremely helpful and not pushy in any way. We needed a cake for 150 guests, so we were very worried about the price, but it was the most reasonably priced bakery we visited. On the wedding day, our cake was delivered on time and it was exactly what we asked for! We initially anticipated more guests than actually attended, so we ended up ordering a cake for 150 and had exactly 150 guests (usually they tell you to order 20% less). The next day, when we went back to pick up decorations, leftover cake, etc. the staff at our venue had saved the top tier for us but said the entire cake was eaten. They said they had never seen that happen before and usually have a lot of leftover cake! We went with a plain vanilla and almond cake, but it was absolutely delicious! I'm actually a little sad their wasn't extra! I would highly recommend Herman's to anyone who needs a wedding cake!

Herman's did and AMAZING job with my wedding cake. I showed them a picture of what I was interested in having and they took it one step further. Not only that, but it was delicious. We've ordered cakes from there before but this one *pun intended* took the cake.

My cake turned out more beautiful then I imagined. I provided a picture of what I wanted and they made it identical and even better than the picture. They were easy to work with and the flavor was excellent!

I used Herman's for my wedding cake based on the quality of their other desserts (they're famous for their strawberry shortcake.;)I was very pleased with their service, quality, and value. The cake was excellent, they use a traditional pound cake for wedding cakes. They were able to match the design in the picture perfectly, and they were flexible in their willingness to work within your budget to accommodate your needs/wants. I had a 2-tier cake with an additional 10" layer on a pedestal stand and it was just beautiful. Cassandra is very easy to work with and willing to make any changes and made sure the delivery was within the time frame I needed it to be. I would highly recommend Herman's Bakery to anyone.
